The ride takes about 1 hour and costs around 20 RMB. However, the airport shuttle bus doesn’t follow a fixed schedule—it departs only once the bus is full, so you may have to wait a bit longer.

Winter temperatures in Harbin are usually around -15°C (5°F), and because Harbin Ice and Snow World is an outdoor attraction, staying comfortable and warm is the key to making the most of this winter wonderland—so we recommend layering up.

For your upper body, layer from the inside out: start with a warm thermal top, add a cozy wool sweater and a down vest, and finish with a long waterproof down coat that falls below the knee. 1. Staying warm is important
In winter, Harbin often feels several degrees colder than the actual temperature, so opt for a down jacket with at least 250 g of fill, and make sure you’ve got snow boots, a warm hat, and thick gloves. Remember to bring a thermos—being able to drink hot water inside the park can be a lifesaver. Also load up on heat packs and stick them on: your back, waist and abdomen, and the soles of your feet lose heat quickly. Your phone may even shut down automatically in extreme cold, so carrying enough heat packs is a must.

2. Beat the crowds by entering the park early; arrive early for shows.
