Sito bellissimo, incredibile la storia. Da visitare assolutamente nel pomeriggio dove la folla della mattina è passata. Noi all'ingresso abbiamo contrattato con varie guide e alle fine con 30€ abbiamo preso una guida solo per noi (ci hanno detto che il pomeriggio c'è maggior facilità di contrattazione perché non ci sono molti turisti). Il giardino non siamo riusciti a vederlo perché avevamo finito il tempo ma dice meriti...

I didn't think I'd love the terracotta army so much, but we were amazed by the spectacle and the work the archaeologists did to reconstruct all those soldiers! The palace itself was truly beautiful and welcoming.

Terracotta Warriors Peak Season
Basically, the peak season for visiting the Terracotta Warriors runs from March through the end of November, and the biggest crowds tend to cluster around the following times.
- Spring (April-May): The weather is pleasant, and visitor numbers usually begin to rise.
- Summer break (July-August): schools are out, more families hit the road, and it's also the prime time for international visitors.
- National Day Golden Week (October 1–7): One of mainland China’s most important long holidays, when visitor numbers hit their annual peak. You’ll also see brief spikes around traditional festivals like Qingming, the Dragon Boat Festival, and the Mid-Autumn Festival.
During peak season, we recommend booking tickets and guided tours in advance and being prepared for longer lines. If possible, consider visiting on weekdays or during the off-season for a better experience.

The Terracotta Warriors Museum is divided into three pits, each with its own unique layout and features:
- Pit 1: The largest of the pits and the most spectacular. This is where the main formation of the Terracotta Army was unearthed, including infantry, cavalry, and chariots.

Had a great stay here! The hotel is conveniently located right near Exit 6 of the Bell Tower Metro Station, and also very close to the Bell Tower itself, making it super easy to get around. Even though it's in a central area, it was surprisingly quiet at night, and the room had excellent soundproofing. All the facilities felt quite new, and I appreciated that the toilet and shower were separate. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious. Right next to the hotel's main entrance, on the right, there's a cultural street featuring local time-honored intangible cultural heritage delicacies, with shops like Tongshengxiang, Wuyi Restaurant, and Baiyunzhang – making it incredibly convenient to find good food. The hotel staff were very enthusiastic; they helped with my luggage, upgraded my room, and even gave me a parting gift when I checked out. After staying here for three consecutive nights, I moved to a hotel in the heart of Datang Everbright City for another two nights. However, that second hotel wasn't conveniently located near any metro stations. For tourists primarily interested in historical and cultural sites, I wouldn't recommend staying in Datang Everbright City. Even late at night, city bus tour vehicles are available at the Everbright City intersection to take you back near the Bell Tower. For first-time visitors, I highly recommend this hotel. However, I do not recommend buying the Terracotta Warriors direct bus ticket from Huatour Group at the hotel's intersection, as shown in my photo. I thought it would depart directly, but we ended up driving around within the city walls for an hour to fill a large bus before officially setting off. Plus, they first take everyone to smaller attractions where some people pay for purchases before heading to the Terracotta Warriors. Our overall stay was very pleasant, and I'd like to extend a special thanks to the front desk staff and Auntie Yan, the housekeeper on the 6th floor. With the continuous high temperatures in Xi'an, our room's daily supplies were used up quickly. After I briefly mentioned needing more bath towels to Auntie Yan, she quietly and proactively added two fresh towels to our room every day. When we ran into her before checking out, she greeted us warmly, offered us pre-prepared ice water, and reminded us to keep the air conditioning on. Her attention to detail and genuine sincerity made her service incredibly heartwarming, truly reflecting the warmth of the East House Hotel.
However, the hotel's breakfast restaurant experience could use some improvement. The auntie at the noodle station seemed to have a poor sense of hygiene; she used gloves that had handled raw eggs to directly touch the serving bowls. I chose this hotel in Xi'an, and the breakfast was good, with a generous breakfast manager. They had Hu La Tang (spicy soup), Rou Jia Mo (meat burger), and Biang Biang noodles.
1. Upon arrival, the hotel's revolving door, which seemed old, hit my elderly family member, causing them to fall. I found the revolving door to be too narrow and too fast, making it unsuitable and a safety hazard.
2. I'd like to commend Ada, the duty manager that day, for her prompt handling of the situation. She arranged for my family member to be taken to the hospital for X-rays and examinations. Thumbs up to this manager! 👍
3. We arrived at the hotel at 11 AM. After my family member fell at the entrance, I noticed a hotel doorman and another person responsible for the entrance quietly discussing something. This was very unsettling and made guests feel uncomfortable, as if there was a disconnect between their words and actions. On October 3rd, around 10:30 AM when we were checking out, there was a slightly taller security guard at the entrance. I was with a pregnant woman, an elderly person, and a child, and I asked him to help put our luggage in the car trunk. The security guard, however, refused, saying he needed to maintain order at the entrance first. Our car was right there at the entrance; shouldn't he have offered a hand to put the luggage in the trunk? Even in non-five-star hotels across the country where I've stayed, the security guards always help with luggage. Therefore, the management and standards for security at this hotel are inadequate. The first point of contact for guests arriving at the hotel is the security at the entrance, and this deserves a negative review. This hotel is located right next to Xi'an's Bell Tower, in a very bustling area. Places like Chang'an Grand Bazaar and Eight Hundred Li Qin Chuan are just downstairs, making dining incredibly convenient and lively. Personally, I found it very convenient, and it's also close to the subway entrance.
Service: I thought the service was very warm. I asked if they had well-done fried eggs, and the lady making eggs in the breakfast restaurant specially made two well-done eggs for me.

It was a pleasant stay with the very reasonable price with breakfast provided.
But what it shocked us was the room we requested is FULLY NON SMOKING ROOM and the signage display a non smoking room level, you still can smell heavy cigarettes on the floor, even you can spot the cigarette smoke under the light clearly. I think the hotel caters the group tours and the local guests were arranged on the same floor and they open their doors and fully, chi-chatting to next door loudly and smoking in the same time with fully ignoring the signage warning. This is the only unpleasant way with our experience on staying 2 nights here.
Oh ya, by the way the hotel should limit the tour agent on hard selling their local package tour to the guests too repetitive. We have arranged our tour and told them all were booked in advanced, but their hard sell attitude has annoyed us many times while entering or exiting the hotel.

My first time trying this place, and I thought it was great! I booked the cheapest room, which I think was a 16-person dorm, but the front desk lady upgraded me to a 12-person one. I even extended my stay for another night.
The environment inside is quite peaceful. Everyone in the common areas is pretty respectful, except for a few loud shouts during billiards sometimes!
Oh, and there were a lot of foreigners, couples mostly, chatting among themselves – it had a nice vibe.
Since it was my first time, I wasn't familiar with everything and didn't prepare toiletries. When I went to shower, I even saw two guys coming out of the same stall, which honestly stunned me a bit.
However, the privacy in the restrooms and shower rooms is excellent; they're all enclosed. The hot water comes on quickly, the water pressure is strong, and everything is clean.
Everyone seemed pretty well-behaved. I mostly kept to myself, though, and didn't really interact with anyone. At one point, a foreigner asked me in English if he could use a stool. I honestly didn't understand anything he said, but I got his meaning and just waved my hand. He must have thought I was refusing him because he started to leave. I was so flustered I couldn't speak, just waving my hands around like fans, trying to convey my meaning. He must have seen my panic and understood, so he moved the stool. Only then could I relax and continue drinking my hot water alone. (I saw the front desk staff, both a guy and a lady, speaking English with the foreigners, and I was so envious! Ugh, I can only read English; I can't understand or speak it. I really need to practice my listening and speaking skills. I'll try my luck again next time.)
Overall, I think it's a pretty good place.
Oh, and its location is fantastic, right by the Bell Tower. But make sure you exit the correct subway station, or else a directionally challenged person like me will spend almost an hour wandering around trying to find it!FromHK$ 49

Love love love this hotel!!! I stayed with my friend in a 2 bed 2 bath room for 8 nights and it was extremely spacious and comfortable. The rooms were very clean and the beds super super super comfy ( I could sleep it in all day but my itinerary was super full). The photos online are quite true to the actual room. They had extremely good service too, starting from the airport pickup, where they were on time and the car was spacious and luxurious! We did the 5 seater sedan at RMB100, the price is comparable to a didi premium but the difference is that they would track your flight and made sure to you were taken care of. The hotel even had Butler service and was very attentive, I could even get them to help store my friend's birthday cake sent from the local cake shop and send it up to us when we were back. The laundry service was handy for a long stay, it was easy to use (and we were on the same floor so it felt like home to just go to and from our room to the laundry room). First off, the hotel's location is fantastic. It's perfectly situated between the North Square of the Giant Wild Goose Pagoda and the Grand Tang Dynasty Everbright City, making it super convenient to get to both. You can see the pagoda right outside the door, and exploring Everbright City is a breeze – just turn right when you leave the hotel. Across the street is the Joy City commercial area, so dining options are plentiful. It was incredibly convenient for our family trip with seniors and kids; we could just pop back to the hotel to rest whenever we got tired.
Secondly, the hotel service was excellent, truly satisfying. Before we even arrived, a staff member contacted us to explain important traffic control information for the holiday period and even sent us the performance schedule for Grand Tang Dynasty Everbright City, saving us the hassle of looking it up ourselves. During our stay, our child needed to print daily homework for school, and the hotel staff kindly helped print it every day, which was great. They also upgraded our room, provided two days of breakfast for both kids, and gave us two extra tickets to the Qujiang Museum (B2 level). What I liked most about the hotel is that it has a small children's pool with a higher water temperature than the adult pool, which made it very comfortable for my child to play in. We mainly chose this hotel because of this small pool. The service and hygiene were excellent. We were upgraded to a garden view room, which was very quiet and had a balcony (though it only overlooked trees with no particular view). The bathtub filled up quickly, and the water quality was clean. The lights in the room were a bit strange; the bathroom light would turn on automatically if you got up at night but wouldn't turn off automatically, requiring a trip to the master switch by the bed. There's a deposit, but WeChat Pay and Alipay are accepted, so you don't necessarily need to use a credit card. The deposit was refunded about an hour after check-out. I soaked in the cool breeze, the fragrant blossoms, and the gentle chirping of birds that seemed to whisper secrets. Every tiny flower here possesses a unique beauty; they don't need to be dazzling, yet their charm is utterly irresistible. It served as a beautiful reminder: you don't need to please anyone, and true happiness isn't given but earned through your own smile. I cherished the tranquility, the white swing nestled among flowers, and the vibrant green pomegranate trees adorned with their distinctive red blossoms. The shaded courtyard was a delight, featuring brightly colored rocking chairs, sun umbrellas, and a small pebble-built stream with stone and wooden bridges. In the stream, around twenty fluffy, super cute ducklings swam playfully, even hiding under lily pads when the sun grew strong. Two brown goats contentedly grazed on the lush green grass. I even playfully called out, 'Hello there, goat, can we be friends?' Haha, a unique soul indeed! The 'Eight-Point Black' rabbits were a constant favorite with the kids, and a proud white fox enjoyed its spacious cage – perhaps not its ideal home, but certainly one where its neighbors posed no challenge! Then there were the flocks of big white geese, honking away with gusto. There's also a vegetable garden, still growing. I hope to taste its fresh produce when I return – what a lovely thought! The evening scenery was enchanting, with countless small lights twinkling like stars in the sky. If you're feeling musical, you can even grab a microphone and sing a few songs. The rooms themselves were very comfortable, clean, and hygienic. For those with energy, brewing a pot of tea and chatting about life is a wonderful option. I love this place so much that I'll definitely be back. It's a perfect spot to record life's beautiful moments and ponder its many inspiring mottos.

Unfortunately i didn't take many pictures but recorded videos. I booked a room type as shown in the first but received something smaller as the one in the second pic, weirdly cut. I didn't notice it as first as i was distracted by the strong smoke smell and asked the lady to change, who tried to sell me a qin shi huang mausoleum tour. Then i was brought to a room type as the one in the first pic, that's when i realised that's what i initially had booked... but there was still a smoke smell and as i really had to use the toilet i simply thought of using the A/C and opening the window, hoping it'd get better. By the evening i got startled by someone knocking at the door only to realise it was someone knocking on my neighbouring door. That's when i realised there was a 1-2cm gap between the floor and door and why i heard that loud knock. I also noticed neighbouring doors were fine and even asked the neighbouring guests if they could hear me. Anyway; that's when i demanded for a second change and only then, when i was a bit assertive and insisting on a new room, did i get a proper room. But there was small issue with the 3rd room too, with the drainage as the water took around 5mins to flow away, making noise. But that wasn't an big issue. It seems like this hotel seems to follow the procedure to give problematic rooms to customers who seem easy-going, which is a known tactic to chinese people from china but not so to foreigners. Beside of that, my stay was pleasant, the breakfast was rich and they have a big variety. I just think it was a bit of a waste of time trying to sell those tobacco smell rooms to me. You can easily fix those by endorsing proper no smoking rules or use a filter machine before, removing smoke. Beside of the convenience as it's really close to all main attractions i just find those actions subpar. Which is an issue with whoever decides to implement such strategies.FromHK$ 329

This time, I stayed in a delicate suite. The bedding was just right in terms of softness and firmness, the duvet was fluffy, and the pillows were comfortable, leading to excellent sleep quality. The bedside control panel was super convenient. The lighting and bathroom were highlights, with large expanses of marble exuding a sense of luxury. The freestanding bathtub faced the floor-to-ceiling windows, allowing me to enjoy the lake view while soaking. The corner balcony was the absolute best, with smart lighting and curtains. The master bathroom featured a triangular large bathtub, and the toiletries were W MOMO with a Dyson hairdryer.
However, there were no welcome fruits or amenities, and late check-out was only extended until 1 PM. This is a huge difference compared to the InterContinental Economic Development Zone where I stayed yesterday, which offered late check-out until 4 PM and provided welcome fruits. I will definitely consider this when choosing next time.
**Fitness Center:**
The hotel's swimming pool is a generous 40-meter pool, and there's also a sauna, making for a refreshing swim. The gym is spacious with a good variety of exercise equipment.
**Dining:**
Breakfast is served at the All-Day Dining restaurant on the first floor. They offer freshly baked bread, Western cold cuts, fresh squeezed juices, Yakult, Eggs Benedict, and a full spread of Shaanxi specialties like Roujiamo (meat burger), Youpo Mian (oil-splashed noodles), Hula Tang (spicy soup), Tofu Brain, and Zenggao (steamed glutinous rice with dates), among others. During the National Day holiday, we decided to make a spontaneous trip to Xi'an. We chose Shangri-La because my family had a wonderful experience at the Guangzhou Shangri-La previously. Plus, the Xi'an Shangri-La has a great location, not far from the subway station, with plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. While it's not directly next to tourist attractions, the advantage is that it's quiet and not noisy.
Upon check-in, the front desk upgraded us to a garden-view room, which wasn't on the main road side and had an unobstructed view. The room was very spacious, and even though the hotel has been open for many years, the facilities are still well-maintained and very clean. Breakfast was extensive, with many local Shaanxi specialties; the 'roujiamo' (Chinese hamburger) and meatball soup were delicious.
Overall, the hotel environment is excellent, and the service is very attentive. We will definitely choose to stay here again on our next visit to Xi'an.FromHK$ 693

This hotel deserves a five-star rating! I checked in on October 1st to a business twin room, and here's why it's so great:
1. **Room**: While not brand new, it's not old either. It was very clean and tidy, and you can really tell the quality of the decor and facilities from this established five-star hotel. The business twin room had large, bright windows.
2. **Food & Drink**: The room came with four complimentary bottles of water, a fruit platter, and two yogurts.
**Breakfast**: This was five-star hotel standard, with a variety of breads, tofu pudding, noodles, pork rib soup, and even poached fish and stir-fries – basically lunch-level fare! Highly recommended!
Just about 200 meters to the right after exiting the hotel, there are many restaurants, including a popular BBQ joint and a hot pot place. They were packed with people eating outside, so they must be delicious. However, I had already eaten and didn't try them.
3. **Location**: It's less than a 5-minute walk from Datang Xishi Metro Station. The airport shuttle bus stop is across the street at the Civil Aviation Building. I left at 10 AM on October 2nd, and despite a bit of traffic on Fengcheng Road, I reached T5 Terminal in 50 minutes.
4. **Service**: The front desk staff were very proactive, enthusiastic, and genuinely helpful, not just going through the motions.
5. **Price**: On the evening of October 1st, a business twin room was only 358 RMB, including two breakfasts. Keep in mind that on the same night, even budget hotels like Hanting (Rujia) were over 300 RMB.
