This is a must-see place! Please note that to visit Lishan Garden, you need to take the bus to the entrance (it's free). At the entrance to the garden, there's a ticket counter for the electric carts that travel around the entire garden (it's impossible to walk around it all, it's just so huge). Tickets cost 15 yuan per person.

Completely doable without a guide. It's recommended to visit the park first, then take the shuttle to the museum and Pits 1-3 around midday when the biggest crowds have passed. It's still very busy, but not nearly as crowded as at 9 am. I would definitely book this ticket again!

Frankly, the information on the website is unclear, leading people to believe that they need to show their ID card at the visitor center to exchange for "tickets". In fact, Hong Kong and Macau residents can simply use their "Home Return Permit" information to scan their "Home Return Permit" at the entry gate to enter.

Good experience, I only booked for the entrance ticket. I booked a shuttle bus separately around 20yuan one way shuttle bus stops at 2pm then you have to take a taxi back or a DiDi. At the site everything is quite far you could walk or pay 15 yuan for like a golf cart to shuttle you. Worth it honestly everything was pretty far.

Terracotta Warriors Peak Season
Basically, the peak season for visiting the Terracotta Warriors runs from March through the end of November, and the biggest crowds tend to cluster around the following times.
- Spring (April-May): The weather is pleasant, and visitor numbers usually begin to rise.
- Summer break (July-August): schools are out, more families hit the road, and it's also the prime time for international visitors.
- National Day Golden Week (October 1–7): One of mainland China’s most important long holidays, when visitor numbers hit their annual peak. You’ll also see brief spikes around traditional festivals like Qingming, the Dragon Boat Festival, and the Mid-Autumn Festival.
During peak season, we recommend booking tickets and guided tours in advance and being prepared for longer lines. If possible, consider visiting on weekdays or during the off-season for a better experience.

The Terracotta Warriors Museum is divided into three pits, each with its own unique layout and features:
- Pit 1: The largest of the pits and the most spectacular. This is where the main formation of the Terracotta Army was unearthed, including infantry, cavalry, and chariots.

This hotel is absolutely worth a special mention! First off, the location is excellent, with convenient transport links. The accompanying garden is truly unique in Xi'an. The public areas are grand and spacious, and even though it's not a tall building, it has four elevators. Our room itself was fantastic – great size, layout, natural light, and a lovely view, truly feeling like a suite.
But the most outstanding highlight is their service. From the doormen and front desk to housekeeping, everyone was incredibly polite and helpful. Any request we had was addressed immediately. We had arranged for a twin bed setup beforehand, and it was all ready when we arrived, which was very thoughtful!
Specifically, on our last day, our museum plans changed, and we couldn't get back to the hotel in time for checkout. We spoke to the front desk, and they graciously extended our checkout time on two separate occasions.

Lovely hotel, we had a huge room with 2 TVs and probably one of my favourite showers out of hundreds of hotels. The breakfast was great, staff very friendly and great location right at the heart of Xian and only 30-40min by Didi from XianBei (North Station). The exterior of the hotel didn't do it justice, but once you are in the lobby everything is taken care of. Drum and Bell towers are both easily walkable 10-15min stroll through restaurant streets and make a lovely sunset visit (open till 9pm) and wandering around the exciting if slightly chaotic street food vendors of the Muslim Quarter just next to the towers are well exploring. Get some Biang Biang or a Xian traditional Chinese Burger. The Metro is also about 10-15 mins walk roughly near the drum tower which can take you to Huaqing Palace in about 50mins North East of the city (1 simple line change) I suggest you get entry tickets and shuttle for both palace and Terracotta Warriors (+10 mins shuttle from Huaqing Palace).From€ 50

My first time trying this place, and I thought it was great! I booked the cheapest room, which I think was a 16-person dorm, but the front desk lady upgraded me to a 12-person one. I even extended my stay for another night.
The environment inside is quite peaceful. Everyone in the common areas is pretty respectful, except for a few loud shouts during billiards sometimes!
Oh, and there were a lot of foreigners, couples mostly, chatting among themselves – it had a nice vibe.
Since it was my first time, I wasn't familiar with everything and didn't prepare toiletries. When I went to shower, I even saw two guys coming out of the same stall, which honestly stunned me a bit.
However, the privacy in the restrooms and shower rooms is excellent; they're all enclosed. The hot water comes on quickly, the water pressure is strong, and everything is clean.
Everyone seemed pretty well-behaved. I mostly kept to myself, though, and didn't really interact with anyone. At one point, a foreigner asked me in English if he could use a stool. I honestly didn't understand anything he said, but I got his meaning and just waved my hand. He must have thought I was refusing him because he started to leave. I was so flustered I couldn't speak, just waving my hands around like fans, trying to convey my meaning. He must have seen my panic and understood, so he moved the stool. Only then could I relax and continue drinking my hot water alone. (I saw the front desk staff, both a guy and a lady, speaking English with the foreigners, and I was so envious! Ugh, I can only read English; I can't understand or speak it. I really need to practice my listening and speaking skills. I'll try my luck again next time.)
Overall, I think it's a pretty good place.
Oh, and its location is fantastic, right by the Bell Tower. But make sure you exit the correct subway station, or else a directionally challenged person like me will spend almost an hour wandering around trying to find it!From€ 6

Love love love this hotel!!! I stayed with my friend in a 2 bed 2 bath room for 8 nights and it was extremely spacious and comfortable. The rooms were very clean and the beds super super super comfy ( I could sleep it in all day but my itinerary was super full). The photos online are quite true to the actual room. They had extremely good service too, starting from the airport pickup, where they were on time and the car was spacious and luxurious! We did the 5 seater sedan at RMB100, the price is comparable to a didi premium but the difference is that they would track your flight and made sure to you were taken care of. The hotel even had Butler service and was very attentive, I could even get them to help store my friend's birthday cake sent from the local cake shop and send it up to us when we were back. The laundry service was handy for a long stay, it was easy to use (and we were on the same floor so it felt like home to just go to and from our room to the laundry room). Its location is unbeatable – directly opposite the Big Wild Goose Pagoda and right next to the Grand Tang Dynasty Everbright City. They even arranged for us a room with a view of the Big Wild Goose Pagoda from inside! The 5th-floor club offers afternoon tea, light meals, and drinks. Watching the Big Wild Goose Pagoda light up at night from there, even in the rain, was such a romantic experience of the ancient capital – truly delightful. Housekeeping was also excellent; we had plenty of bottled water replenished daily, which was a thoughtful touch. The hotel itself is quite grand, and its own dining options are excellent. The breakfast is very rich, and both the Cantonese restaurant and the Spanish restaurant are great. The hotel environment is really great, with lots of greenery and trees everywhere, making for a very comfortable stay. This time I stayed for quite a while, and the butler was wonderfully attentive throughout my stay, always responding promptly to any requests and handling them with incredible patience. They even helped me find something I accidentally left behind right away, which was a huge relief when traveling with kids. This is definitely a family-friendly hotel, and choosing a package for a long stay offers great value for money.

Although the rooms were renovated a while ago, they are incredibly well-maintained and still look brand new. The hot springs are also fantastic, with both outdoor and indoor private baths being superb. The room facilities are good too; this family room exceeded our expectations. I recently visited Xi'an Lintong with my family and specifically chose the Joyland Hotel. Our entire stay was incredibly comfortable, and both the environment and service were exceptional. We were upgraded to a courtyard room, which was a bit small inside. The location is great, right within the scenic area, and there's a car available to take you to restaurants inside the park. The private hot spring was ready in the evening. I had put up the 'Do Not Disturb' sign, so I was quite annoyed when I received a call at 10:00 AM, only to find out they were calling about breakfast. This was a spontaneous, short trip, a perfect reminder that plans often yield to the unexpected. Here I am in Xi'an, at the foot of the Qinling Mountains, longing to open my arms and embrace nature. I soaked in the cool breeze, the fragrant blossoms, and the gentle chirping of birds that seemed to whisper secrets. Every tiny flower here possesses a unique beauty; they don't need to be dazzling, yet their charm is utterly irresistible. It served as a beautiful reminder: you don't need to please anyone, and true happiness isn't given but earned through your own smile. I cherished the tranquility, the white swing nestled among flowers, and the vibrant green pomegranate trees adorned with their distinctive red blossoms. The shaded courtyard was a delight, featuring brightly colored rocking chairs, sun umbrellas, and a small pebble-built stream with stone and wooden bridges. In the stream, around twenty fluffy, super cute ducklings swam playfully, even hiding under lily pads when the sun grew strong. Two brown goats contentedly grazed on the lush green grass. I even playfully called out, 'Hello there, goat, can we be friends?' Haha, a unique soul indeed! The 'Eight-Point Black' rabbits were a constant favorite with the kids, and a proud white fox enjoyed its spacious cage – perhaps not its ideal home, but certainly one where its neighbors posed no challenge! Then there were the flocks of big white geese, honking away with gusto. There's also a vegetable garden, still growing. I hope to taste its fresh produce when I return – what a lovely thought! The evening scenery was enchanting, with countless small lights twinkling like stars in the sky. If you're feeling musical, you can even grab a microphone and sing a few songs. The rooms themselves were very comfortable, clean, and hygienic. For those with energy, brewing a pot of tea and chatting about life is a wonderful option. I love this place so much that I'll definitely be back. It's a perfect spot to record life's beautiful moments and ponder its many inspiring mottos.

Unfortunately i didn't take many pictures but recorded videos. I booked a room type as shown in the first but received something smaller as the one in the second pic, weirdly cut. I didn't notice it as first as i was distracted by the strong smoke smell and asked the lady to change, who tried to sell me a qin shi huang mausoleum tour. Then i was brought to a room type as the one in the first pic, that's when i realised that's what i initially had booked... but there was still a smoke smell and as i really had to use the toilet i simply thought of using the A/C and opening the window, hoping it'd get better. By the evening i got startled by someone knocking at the door only to realise it was someone knocking on my neighbouring door. That's when i realised there was a 1-2cm gap between the floor and door and why i heard that loud knock. I also noticed neighbouring doors were fine and even asked the neighbouring guests if they could hear me. Anyway; that's when i demanded for a second change and only then, when i was a bit assertive and insisting on a new room, did i get a proper room. But there was small issue with the 3rd room too, with the drainage as the water took around 5mins to flow away, making noise. But that wasn't an big issue. It seems like this hotel seems to follow the procedure to give problematic rooms to customers who seem easy-going, which is a known tactic to chinese people from china but not so to foreigners. Beside of that, my stay was pleasant, the breakfast was rich and they have a big variety. I just think it was a bit of a waste of time trying to sell those tobacco smell rooms to me. You can easily fix those by endorsing proper no smoking rules or use a filter machine before, removing smoke. Beside of the convenience as it's really close to all main attractions i just find those actions subpar. Which is an issue with whoever decides to implement such strategies.From€ 32

I chose this hotel for a last-minute business trip and honestly didn't have high expectations, but my entire stay was incredibly smooth. Check-in and check-out were both efficient and quick. Once, there was a minor issue with the AC in my room, and after I called the front desk, staff came up to fix it almost immediately – the response time was excellent. The room itself was just the right size, with soft lighting and plenty of hot water pressure. The toiletries were also of good quality, and the bathroom, with its separate wet and dry areas, was spotless. In the morning, the breakfast buffet had enough variety for daily needs, and hot food was continuously refilled, so there was no rush to grab a meal. Completely different from the bustling city vibe around the Bell Tower, this Tang-style garden hotel is nestled in Qujiang. With its courtyards, waterside pavilions, and winding corridors, the architecture exudes the charm of the prosperous Tang Dynasty. The hotel is right next to Qujiang Lake, and they offer complimentary sightseeing bus and boat tours of Qujiang, which was a great experience. The environment is quiet and peaceful, a welcome escape from the city noise.
After exploring, I felt Qujiang has a unique charm, somewhat like Hangzhou's West Lake, similar to Suzhou's Jinji Lake, and even a bit like Shanghai's New Jiangwan City. It's also a short taxi ride to the Big Wild Goose Pagoda and the Grand Tang Everbright City.
The suite was spacious and airy, featuring two scenic balconies with views of Qujiang Lake. The happy hour food at the lounge was quite good, and the hotel also has a heated swimming pool. The overall food quality was impressive.From€ 103

Service: Every lady at the front desk was kind and extremely attentive. We checked out a bit late, and they extended our checkout time to 3 PM, which was really thoughtful. The staff even helped us with our luggage to the car and offered us drinks.
Cleanliness: The room was tidy and comfortable, and the bedding and bath amenities were very clean. However, the pillows had a slight odor of hair oil.
Environment: The surrounding area has convenient transportation. The Xigong University subway station is just a few minutes' walk away, including a pedestrian overpass. There are also street food vendors just a few steps away. My only complaint is that Xi'an surprisingly doesn't have shared e-bikes, only shared bicycles. Riding a bicycle to tourist attractions will make you question your life choices. I recommend taking a taxi or, if you're looking for a more affordable option, combining it with subway transfers.From€ 12

I did a lot of research for my trip to Xi'an and finally settled on this hotel. The location is absolutely unbeatable. Xiangzimiao Street is right downstairs, full of unique shops. It was so convenient to explore late into the evening and just walk a few steps back to the hotel.
The biggest surprise was the fourth-floor terrace. Having breakfast there in the morning was a real 'wow' moment! It faces directly onto the Yongning Gate city wall, and the view is just incredible. Every photo I took looked great, and so many people asked me which hotel it was when I posted them. The breakfast tasted delicious, and I recommend the beef noodles. Honestly, just sitting there and eating felt so atmospheric.
The room itself was very clean, the bedding was comfortable, and the bathroom's wet/dry separation was well-done. My only minor regret is that the bar street downstairs can be a bit noisy at night, but the hotel provides earplugs, so I was still able to sleep. Overall, it's excellent value for money, and I'd definitely stay here again when I bring my parents next time.From€ 53

Right across from the Drum Tower, the location is excellent. The room was clean, tidy, spacious, and bright, with a separate wet and dry area in the bathroom. The staff cleaned punctually every day.
