Tsingtao Beer Museum

As a coastal city, Qingdao is one of China’s hottest travel destinations, packed with attractions like the Laoshan Scenic Area, Qingdao Yunshang Haitian (Observation Deck), and the Qingdao Olympic Sailing Center. Historically, the city was once leased to Germany; beyond the European flair that still colors its architecture, it also embraced German brewing techniques to create the world’s best-selling Chinese beer brand: Tsingtao. If you’re planning a trip to Qingdao, you can’t miss the Tsingtao Beer Museum. Trip.com has all the details on discounted tickets, transportation info, and suggested routes to take you on a deep dive into beer culture.

Tsingtao Beer Museum | Introduction

Tsingtao Brewery’s predecessor was founded by German merchants in 1903. Using German brewing techniques and ingredients and brewed with mineral spring water from Qingdao’s Mount Lao (Laoshan), it grew into one of Asia’s largest and most advanced breweries and became one of China’s longest-standing beer brands. After World War II, it was officially named Tsingtao Beer and began exporting worldwide, making Tsingtao one of the most recognizable Chinese beer brands abroad. By 2003—the brewery’s 100th anniversary—the Tsingtao Beer Museum opened, bringing a century of brewing history and the production process to life through interactive exhibits and multimedia. You can even taste the freshest Tsingtao beer!

To the representative tourist spot "Qingdao Beer Museum" in Qingdao. The historic brick building is very impressive, and it looks like a photo from the outside. You can learn about the history and manufacturing process of Qingdao beer in the museum, and you can enjoy "Qingdao city and beer culture" together rather than just an exhibition facility. I think that not only beer lovers but also people who don't drink can enjoy it as a memorial to sightseeing in Qingdao. There are many streets and restaurants that are typical of Qingdao in the area, so it is recommended not only to walk around the museum but also to take a walk around the area. 📍 Tsingtao Beer Museum Address: No. 56, Dengzhou Road, Shibei District, Qingdao City, Shandong Province, China # Qingdao # Qingdao Travel # Qingdao Beer # Tsingtao Beer Museum # TsingtaoBeerMuseum #China Travel #Qingdao Tourism #Tripcom

It's best to make a reservation in advance to avoid queuing or potential issues with full capacity. The tour route runs from Hall A to Hall B, and you'll be offered refreshing drinks. There are many Tsingtao beer and barbecue restaurants nearby. I recommend visiting around 2 PM, then heading to Taitung District to choose your favorite seafood and have it cooked by a catering service (most have prices listed). Experience the refreshing taste of Tsingtao beer and the freshness of the seafood for a perfect meal!

I stayed at the Holiday Inn Express Qingdao City Center. The hotel boasts an excellent location, making travel incredibly convenient. Vivian and Ann at the guest services center were very responsive; my room requests were promptly handled after a phone call. The staff were all polite and gentle, and the rooms were clean, tidy, and well-equipped with all necessary amenities. The overall service was professional and standardized, and the environment was quiet and comfortable.

Exceptional VIP Stay! Cindy and Reya are the True Face and Soul of Crowne Plaza Qingdao! We are absolutely thrilled with our stay at Crowne Plaza Qingdao, and it has become truly unforgettable solely due to the incredible efforts of two outstanding professionals at the Front Desk — Cindy and Reya. From the very first second of our arrival, they welcomed us with world-class hospitality and high-level care. Thanks to their exceptional dedication, we were granted a spectacular, breathtaking panorama room on the highest 38th floor, which made our stay absolutely magical. Furthermore, their outstanding generosity, exceptional VIP compliments, and a highly personalized approach to our family and our child touched our hearts deeply.A premium international hotel brand builds its reputation and positive image only through such exemplary employees. Without Cindy and Reya, an elite hotel is just a building with furniture. They are the ones who breathe life into it, holding the entire guest experience on their shoulders and making the brand's identity truly prestigious. They didn’t just do their job; they went above and beyond to deliver pure hospitality from the heart.I sincerely request the General Manager and Senior Leadership of Crowne Plaza Qingdao to highly praise and officially reward Cindy and Reya for their brilliant work. They are the absolute best assets of this hotel and the ultimate reason why guests will always want to return here. Thank you, Cindy and Reya, for making our family stay so special!P.S. We also want to express our deepest gratitude to another incredible team member, Yu Fei (于菲). During our check-out process, she showed exceptional care and professionalism. Understanding our travel plans, she personally helped us book our next stay at the beachfront sister hotel within the Crowne Plaza network. Her initiative completely saved us from any language barriers and made our transition seamless. Along with Cindy and Reya, Yu Fei represents the gold standard of IHG service. This trio of brilliant professionals makes Crowne Plaza Qingdao an absolute benchmark of luxury hospitality!

When traveling to Qingdao, I chose to stay at the Westin, initially drawn by its location and hotel standard. However, the front desk service truly impressed me. I had to change my check-in time last minute during my trip, and after communicating online in advance, the front desk staff prepared everything for my check-in. Upon arrival, I didn't have to wait long in the lobby and was able to check in quickly, which saved me a lot of hassle after a long journey. During check-in, considering I was tired from a long journey, the staff spoke in a calm and soothing manner, providing only essential and practical information. Throughout my stay, I called the front desk multiple times to inquire about luggage storage and late check-out policies. Each time, they answered promptly, provided clear explanations, and offered suitable solutions from a guest's perspective. Check-out was transparent and reassuring. Even near shift change, the staff diligently completed their tasks without rushing guests or being perfunctory. Throughout my entire stay, the front desk team was polite and composed, demonstrating professionalism. During busy times, they worked efficiently and calmly. When it was less busy, they remained at their posts and maintained their service-oriented attitude, without any slack or idleness. Excellent service is hidden in many small details; there's no forced politeness, yet every interaction makes you feel secure and comfortable. The front desk's service alone is enough to make me willing to stay again, and I sincerely recommend it to friends visiting Qingdao.

We chose Shangri-La Qingdao for our family trip with kids, and the entire stay exceeded our expectations! The check-in process was incredibly thoughtful, with a warm welcome tea and complimentary beer offered, instantly washing away our travel fatigue upon arrival. The staff proactively introduced the hotel's kids' craft area. My child absolutely loved the various clay DIY and creative craft projects, especially playing with Cherry – they had so much fun they didn't want to leave, which was a lifesaver for us parents. We even added Cherry on WeChat, and she patiently answered all our questions, meticulously recommending nearby attractions and authentic local restaurants tailored to our family's itinerary. She also distinguished between trendy spots and family-friendly places, helping us plan routes that saved time and effort. The hotel's location is excellent, with easy access to May Fourth Square and the Olympic Sailing Center. Our room was clean and comfortable, and service responses were prompt. We felt the meticulous and thoughtful care everywhere. It's perfect whether for a short break or as a base for exploring Qingdao. With its superior facilities, warm service, and fun kids' activities, it's highly recommended for family travel. Next time we visit Qingdao, Shangri-La will still be our top choice. I genuinely recommend it to anyone planning a trip with children!

The hotel feels a bit historic, but the environment is still quite good. Minibar: First use is complimentary. The lobby bar offers a choice of a cultural and creative ice cream or a 300ml bottle of Tsingtao beer on the day of check-in: My child chose the pineapple flavor, and it was delicious. I really need to highlight the shower water pressure – it was incredibly comfortable! It felt like they used a high-pressure pump to get such strong water flow. Few hotels pay attention to this detail, and it made showering truly enjoyable.

Just checked out of the Crowne Plaza Qingdao Ocean Spring Resort, and this 3-day, 2-night 'lie-flat' vacation was truly therapeutic. We didn't have to rush to any attractions, making it perfect for families with kids or those looking for a quiet escape. The hotel has a European castle style, and the high-ceilinged lobby with a crystal chandelier immediately sets a holiday mood upon entry. We were lucky enough to get a complimentary upgrade to a sea-view room. The room itself was generously sized, but the real highlight was the large balcony. Stepping out, you're greeted by an unobstructed view of Aoshan Bay. We enjoyed watching the sunrise from bed in the morning and the sunset over the sea in the evening – simply an amazing view. While some areas of the facilities showed a bit of age, the overall cleanliness and tidiness were quite good. Downstairs, there's a beach where you can wade in the water or dig in the sand – the kids absolutely loved it. There's also an outdoor children's swimming pool, and hotel guests have unlimited access. Next to it, there's a small petting zoo, where feeding the animals easily fills up a whole day.

I've stayed at this hotel before. This time, I booked a newly renovated room, and they've even added an elevator to the renovated building. The hotel's location is excellent; you just cross the road to reach the beach, and it's near the scenic area. The room was clean, and all the amenities were complete. It offers great value for money. The only downside is that there's only one charging pile at the hotel, so there's always a queue to charge. I'd recommend the hotel add a few more charging stations.

Absolutely loved the Junlan hotel in the ancient town! The decor is incredibly stylish and blends perfectly with the town's atmosphere. From the moment we came up from the underground parking, we could feel the hotel's unique vibe. I really enjoyed the overall design; every corner was picture-perfect. We booked a room with a courtyard, and it was so comfortable. Even though the courtyard walls were high, providing great privacy, it didn't block the sunlight at all, and the kids had a fantastic time playing there! This was definitely the highlight of our Jimo trip.

Facilities: This is an older five-star hotel. While the facilities are a bit dated, they are well-maintained. Cleanliness: Clean and tidy. Good attention to detail. Environment: The hotel is conveniently located in a quiet spot amidst a bustling area. Transportation around is very convenient, and Kaohsiung Station is right downstairs. Service: The hotel service is excellent. During the peak tourist season in Qingdao, the hotel staff were well-trained and efficiently resolved any issues.

Extremely clean, with excellent service. Lisa's service was prompt and outstanding. I travel all over the country, and the efficiency here is the best I've seen. Even I, with my high standards, couldn't find a single flaw. We had an errand to run and couldn't make the check-out time. Since there wasn't an immediate next booking, they kindly extended our check-out time. This is efficiency for business travelers combined with thoughtful, human-centric service. The hotel offers a wide variety of food, and the desserts are professionally made.
