Perfect for a leisurely stroll, sampling street snacks, and experiencing Chengdu’s culture. We bought some of the tea pastry and tea leaves and shop for some panda souvenirs there. We have our lunch in one of the Sichuan cuisine restaurant in the narrow alley which the food is pretty good. There is a cat souvenir shop named Mao Mao Yao which sells lovely handmade ceramic cat product. We bought some fridge magnets before going back to our hotel.

It feels like an ancient city that has been renovated to be modern. There are beautifully decorated restaurants and cafes, each competing to create unique gimmicks to attract customers. The prices are only slightly higher than usual, despite being in a popular location.

This place is especially recommended for fans of the Romance of the Three Kingdoms. Even those with only a vague understanding of the story will find it more enjoyable if they do a little research beforehand, deepening their understanding of the characters and historical background. It will surely be a memorable visit.
The information boards are in Chinese, Japanese, and Korean, making them easy for foreign travelers to understand. I visited in the morning, and there were relatively few tourists, allowing me to explore at my own pace.
The grounds have a calm atmosphere, allowing you to feel the history and culture of ancient China in a peaceful setting. It has a different charm from bustling tourist spots, and I highly recommend visiting this place when you're in Chengdu.

The combo ticket worked perfectly. The Shrine is interesting and very well maintained. The only slight drawback might be the theater. It's 3 km from the old city to the theater, and the address is quite difficult for foreigners to find. I left a comment on Google with the address to enter. When using AMAP, be careful to arrive at the correct location, as there are many theaters that could host performances. As for the performance itself, I have no complaints. The show lasted about an hour and was truly fascinating. It allowed us to immerse ourselves in Chinese culture.

A magnificent garden. It has everything: a fish pond, classical pagodas, and magnificent gardens. I definitely recommend visiting. You can exit the garden onto the old street, where you can eat and buy souvenirs.

The pandas are very, very, very, cute. 🐼 Definitely go right when it opens at 7:30am because a) pandas don’t like the heat as much as we do and b) it’s very crowded. I recommend skipping the panda observatories (sun ☀️, moon 🌙 ) close to the entrance of the park and taking the $3-4 shuttle all the way to the star ⭐️ panda observatory at the highest point of the park- it’s significantly less crowded and you will not be battling the crowds for your photos.

Even though I was only watching one type of animal, the pandas, it was really fun. There were some difficulties moving around due to the narrow passageways here and there, but it didn't hinder the viewing experience. I highly recommend booking the morning session!!

We went around 7:30 am (when the park opens). The queue was not too long, and we were let in swiftly. Remember your passport. You have to walk for a while (maybe 30 minutes) but eventually you will find some panda exhibitions where they are active. We watched 2 pandas wrestling for a long time, as well as others eating, relaxing and roaming around. There are also red pandas which are cool to see, also fairly up close.

We visit Chunxi Road offers plentiful of shops to choose from, shopping malls after shopping malls. We were practically spoilt for choice, The place was buzzing with people, music and smells of Chengdu baked goodies, the only down side was trying to get a taxi back to our hotel, all taxi drivers refuse to take us because of the traffice jam. We couldn't book one with Didi either so we ended up having to walk 3km out of the city centre were we stopped at a petrol station and managed to book a taxi from there.

Chunxi Road, Chengdu... is probably one of the streets with various shops, comparable to Siam... After checking in, packing up, organizing things, and taking a nap, I went down to walk around, take pictures, find something to eat, and chill... I didn't miss going up to see the Panda on the IFS building.
