It's very atmospheric and beautiful. You can find souvenirs, dine, and simply enjoy the surrounding beauty.
This place is reminiscent of the Fuqing Night Market, but with a very expensive twist. A must-see if you're in Chengdu.

We are always searching for a state of being, a state untouched by the passage of time, undiminished by worldly passion. On the road, we found it. It's a perpetually youthful spirit—not youthful in appearance, but youthful in soul, a youth that maintains a constant curiosity and love for the world. When we shoulder our packs and embark on unknown journeys, each departure is a rebirth. We witness the ever-changing light and shadow at sunrise, the vastness of the starry sky, the smiles and kindness of strangers—moments that bring tears to our eyes. Not because of sadness, but because of profound emotion, for we finally understand that the beauty of life lies not in what we possess, but in what we experience. On the road, we shed all pretense and defenses, facing the world with our most authentic selves. We no longer dwell on gains and losses, no longer cling to outcomes, but savor every scene, every encounter. This youthfulness is a love for life, a yearning for freedom, and courage in the face of the unknown. We are forever young because we are forever on the road, forever moved to tears.

Perfect for a leisurely stroll, sampling street snacks, and experiencing Chengdu’s culture. We bought some of the tea pastry and tea leaves and shop for some panda souvenirs there. We have our lunch in one of the Sichuan cuisine restaurant in the narrow alley which the food is pretty good. There is a cat souvenir shop named Mao Mao Yao which sells lovely handmade ceramic cat product. We bought some fridge magnets before going back to our hotel.
Chengdu Metro Attractions | Wuhou Shrine (Temple of the Marquis of Wu)
Wuhou Shrine is the only temple in China dedicated to both a ruler (Liu Bei) and his chancellor (Zhuge Liang) of the Shu Han Kingdom, with a history spanning over 1,700 years. The shrine honors Zhuge Liang, Liu Bei, and other Shu Han generals. The scenic area features ancient trees and well-preserved historical structures, including the Hall of Liu Bei, the Hall of Zhuge Liang, and the Sanyi Temple. It is a key destination for understanding the history of the Three Kingdoms period. Adjacent to the shrine is Jinli Ancient Street, which recreates the charm of old Chengdu with its Western Sichuan architectural style from the Ming and Qing dynasties. The street is lined with Sichuan specialty snacks (such as "Three Cannons," "Chuanchuan Xiang," and "Zhong Dumplings"), traditional craft shops, teahouses, and Sichuan Opera performances, offering an immersive experience into Bashu culture.

A must-visit historical site in Chengdu. The Wuhou Shrine is beautifully preserved and offers a deep dive into the Three Kingdoms period. I really enjoyed walking through the lush gardens, the classic red walls, and the peaceful bamboo paths. The ancient architecture and cultural artifacts are fascinating. It's a great place to learn about Chinese history and take stunning photos. Highly recommended!

The Wuhou Temple features three important figures: Guan Yu, Zhang Fei, and Liu Bei. However, everyone's favorite figure is Zhuge Liang, who is often seen carrying a feather fan, looking very imposing and exceptionally intelligent. The temple has many exhibition halls that visitors can explore, learning about many historical stories. One particularly detailed story is the tale of Liu Bei's three visits to Zhuge Liang's thatched cottage; you can check it out.

A large complex worth visiting. Well-maintained and interesting.

Go there first thing in the morning! Easy access and you'll see lots of pandas. It's magical!

A beautiful place to see pandas up close! The park has several different areas to explore, making the visit interesting and enjoyable. I highly recommend arriving before 10 a.m., as this is when the pandas are generally most active and you have a better chance of seeing them playing, eating, and moving around. Definitely a must-visit experience for animal lovers!

This place isn’t too bad if you’re not going there to see HuaHua. The queue for Huahua takes at least 2 hours if you are not there at the park early to queue. Me and my girlfriend reached slightly past the opening time so we didn’t want to wait to see HuaHua. Instead we just explored the other parts of the place and managed to see other cute pandas too! However the other parts are also very crowded! People will run and push you just to snap a photo of the pandas. Overall not too bad experience but too crowded and probably won’t be back again😂

It felt like Namdaemun Market. It seemed to have functioned as Chengdu's bustling main street for a very long time. There was even the Chunxi Hotel, which has been operating since 1924. After walking a little further, I came across Zhongshan Plaza, which features a statue of Sun Wen and serves as a major landmark of this massive commercial street. Passing the IFS Mall, which was impressive for its pandas climbing up, I arrived at Taiguli. I went down to the basement and browsed the merchandise at the Ole Food Hall. There was even the Marvis series, which I had bought on Taobao because it isn't sold in Korea. There were plenty of Hot Pot Diliao, but having already bought so much, I had nothing left to purchase. I went up to the first floor and bought a Peppercorn Ice Cream at an ice cream shop with the funny name of Yanmasuo. Peppercorns were embedded in the gelato-like container. Although I didn't actually chew on it, the white ice cream offered a new experience of a tingling sensation in my mouth with every bite. I was delighted to see my favorite shop in Daerim, Xiaogunganchuanchuanxiang, and was also surprised by how popular the Korean restaurant was, to the point where people were lining up to eat there.

Such an amazing experience there. Pandas everywhere.

I didn't find anything special on this street. It's beautiful and crowded. I took a photo of a panda climbing a building and left. The street is more suitable for those looking for shopping. For that kind of person, there's a wide selection of brand-name clothing stores.

We always thought youth would fade with time, but on the road, we discovered that youth is actually a choice. A choice to set off, a choice to be brave, a choice to remain curious about the world. When we're on our journey, we're no longer bound by worldly rules, no longer swayed by the opinions of others, but true to our own hearts, pursuing the happiness that truly belongs to us. We see the tranquility under the starry sky, the hope at sunrise, the warmth of strangers—moments that bring tears to our eyes. Not because of loneliness, but because we finally understand that the beauty of life lies not in how much we possess, but in how much we experience. On the road, we learn to let go, to cherish, and to encounter a better version of ourselves with each departure. This youth is a yearning for freedom, a love for life, and courage in the face of the unknown. We are forever young because we are forever on the road, forever moved to tears.
