First off, the location of the AC Hotel Carlton Madrid by Marriott is definitely excellent, being quite close to Atocha train station. The room itself was decent, just a tad small. Breakfast was quite rich and plentiful. However, compared to similar hotels in China, the overall price is on the higher side, which is especially noticeable in Madrid.

This hotel is very convenient if you're staying in Madrid for a short time before moving on to another location. It's right near the station, so you can get there in about 10 minutes with your suitcase. However, for those planning to spend several days in Madrid, its location might be a bit inconvenient as the main tourist attractions are across the station. Also, the breakfast is just pre-cut, cold items, which might slightly lower satisfaction.

The biggest letdown was that the room was dim. It's recommended for those who just need a place to sleep.

Pros: Close to the station, clean, quiet, and you can sleep well.

Cons: The guest rooms are in a separate building from the reception, so you have to take an escalator down to the basement and go to another building. The shower is incredibly difficult to use. The room is dimly lit.

The hotel is in a good location, very close to the station and subway station. There is a supermarket opposite and there are many restaurants nearby.

but! The guy at the hotel front desk initially gave us a rubbish room at the bottom of the corridor with a very small room and an air conditioner outside the window. It looked like a workshop. We arrived in the afternoon and there was no way there were no other rooms. In addition, after we went downstairs and asked to change rooms, we were indeed changed to a normal room. It also shows that the garbage room we were given at the beginning was intentional. It is difficult not to think that it is a kind of racial discrimination. Please pay attention.

Staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. The hotel is not located close to the historical center, rather closer to the university area, however there are metro stations close with convenient connections. Also, there are some restaurants for a quick meal very close to the hotel.

Close to the Bernabeu Stadium, full set of toiletries, brand hotel; the disadvantages are that the breakfast is average (my family experienced it in advance), the elevator is small, the big bed is soft, and the overall cost performance is not high

The hotel is very close to the airport and there is a free pick-up and drop-off. This is the main reason I chose them, but it also means that there seems to be nothing to go around. The room is fully equipped and the space is relatively large. A family of four (children 5 and 7 years old), plus a combed bed, an extra charge of 60 euros, Overall, it is recommended.

Beautiful and clean rooms except the wardrobes which had dust so I couldn't put my clothes in them. Excellent breakfast. Super helpful staff.

Great hospitality. Got a free upgrade for our stay. Room was spacious and clean. 

Location is its biggest advantage. There are bus stops directly down and on the opposite streets of the hotel, making it reasy to commute around the city. 

The shopping mall next to the hotel is great as well. It has a lot of local Spanish brands, supermarket and basic necessities. Great to start with for some quick shopping.

Excellent location. Spotlessly clean and spacious, with that classic Marriott style. Highly recommend staying here for your whole trip. I regretted staying in the old town initially. It's also close to the train station. Very highly recommended.

Having stayed at Marriott hotels a few times, I feel that hotels in Barcelona are more expensive than in other cities, but thankfully the service quality is good. Initially, I was given a room with a faulty air conditioner. After contacting the front desk, they said they would notify them to come and check the next day, and eventually agreed to change my room. The room was a suite separated by a door, so you could feel the presence of people talking next door. The breakfast selection was varied, but not particularly abundant; the food quality was good. The hotel is near a university, and the surrounding environment is nice. Getting to attractions requires transportation, so it's quite convenient. The Barcelona Football Club is very close by.

The room was very clean and new, it’s spacious for 2 pax. Their service was above average. The only con is that the location is a bit far from city centre and main attractions. However, it’s only a 10-15 mins ride if you take a cab.
