Clean and quiet. The selected room was a good size, the bathroom was clean, and the layout was well-designed. It's so hard to find good value-for-money hotels in central London, so I ended up choosing this one. It's close to the subway station, has a supermarket nearby, and is located in a residential area. The breakfast was rich and fantastic. A great hotel.

I had to escape my previous booking because the other hotel didn't have air conditioning, and at 37 degrees Celsius, I had to quickly search for a new hotel with AC. The transportation here is pretty good; it's a 10-minute walk to several tube stations, and you can take the Elizabeth Line directly to Heathrow. Plus, buses can take you to Regent Street and Hyde Park. There's a large M&S supermarket nearby, as well as Asian food options like Vietnamese and Japanese ramen. Shoreditch, with its many trendy brands, is also within walking distance, making it great for shopping. On my last day, I forgot my passport in the safety deposit box, and the hotel manager helped me retrieve it. It was a bit of a hassle because the next guest wasn't cooperative, and it took the manager an hour to sort it out. I'm very grateful as I still managed to catch my flight.

Dear Indigo London Chinatown Management / Trip.com Support,

My name is Brian, and I am writing to formally raise a serious complaint regarding the conduct of your Receptionist, Sabrine, during my recent stay.

I want to be clear that I genuinely enjoyed the hotel itself. I stayed for two nights after my arrival and was fully planning to return next week for an additional week-long stay. However, because of this incident and the way it was handled, I have decided not to proceed with any further bookings.

On the morning of checkout, Receptionist, Sabrine, came to my door at 11:00 AM and mentioned a £40 late checkout charge. I clearly told her she could come in to explain properly, but she did not. Instead, she expected me to simply accept and understand this charge without clear communication.

At no point was the £40 late checkout fee clearly explained to me in advance. Guests should never be confronted with additional charges without transparent explanation either prior to their stay or clearly and professionally at the time. Neither occurred in this situation.

Additionally, I was informed that there was no luggage storage space available. However, when I checked personally, there appeared to be available space. The explanation provided was inconsistent and did not demonstrate a genuine willingness to assist.

This situation reflects a serious failure in customer service standards. Clear communication, transparency, and professionalism are fundamental expectations in hospitality. As a direct result of this experience, the hotel has lost a returning guest who was prepared to extend his stay significantly.

I expect this matter to be reviewed seriously and addressed appropriately.

Sincerely,
Brian

The room was very spacious, and it's not far from the train station, Hyde Park, and Kensington Gardens. There are plenty of restaurants downstairs, and a shopping mall and supermarket are also very close by, making shopping and dining incredibly convenient.

We booked two rooms from July 16-20 and 18-20, 2026. On the evening of the 17th-18th, when we returned to the hotel, our rooms hadn't been cleaned. On the 19th, before heading out, I informed the male receptionist with silver hair to please clean our rooms. He replied that he couldn't and would only be able to do it after 4 PM. On check-out day, I forgot my tablet and power bank at the hotel. I called back, and the same male staff member said he would check for me and asked me to call back in 10 minutes. While I was on the train heading back to the hotel, I tried calling again, but no one answered. When I arrived at the hotel, there was no one at the counter. I went to the kitchen to ask them to call a receptionist. The silver-haired male staff member then told me he had checked and there was nothing in the room I had just checked out of, and then he walked away. Later, a female receptionist with black hair came out after checking in another guest. I explained the situation to her, and she called to inquire for me. She said the person on the line reported there was nothing. I then showed her that I had tracked it, and it was still at the hotel. I intended to file a police report if I didn't get it back. The female staff then told the person on the line that the customer had shown proof that the tablet was still at the hotel. After that, I finally received my tablet and power bank back. Hotel staff should be service-minded and honest.

First of all, the hotel reception is really nice. Everyone is very warm and friendly. I feel full of love. The room is very large and clean, with a palace-style bed, I love it. Mineral water is available every day, and snacks are also free to eat, which is charged in other hotels... The location is even better, 3/5 minutes walk to Tower Bridge, double subway, and 8/9 minutes walk to Liverpool Street Station... Liverpool Street Station is convenient to major airports... In short, it is a very good experience, and a must-choose hotel next time you come to London

The hotel offers convenient shuttle service to and from LGA, making it easy to get there from the airport. The room was decent, nothing special but not bad either. For New York, I was quite satisfied with the price. The location is excellent, very close to various Chinese restaurants. It feels like the best value for money among the nearby hotels.

Conveniently located near Wall Street with easy subway access. There's a great Danish healthy fast food restaurant nearby called Joe and the Juice, definitely worth checking out. You'll also find a pizza place, street-side taco trucks, and ice cream trucks. The hotel is very clean and has good soundproofing. Like most hotels, there's no hot water in the room, but the lobby offers refreshing lemonade and luggage storage, which is a nice touch.

The location is fantastic! It's super close to the Statue of Liberty ferry terminal, One World Trade Center, the 9/11 Memorial, and Wall Street – all within easy walking distance. However, the soundproofing in the neighborhood is really poor. The subway runs right beneath the building, and everything in the room vibrates when it passes by, so you pretty much have to sleep with earplugs in. On the bright side, the room has tea and coffee, and they clean the room and restock supplies daily.

Was definitely expecting more from this IHG hotel. Got a room upgrade and even then the room was very beat and worn down. Service staff were nice, does have a very popular night club / bar which is nice or bad depending on your plans.

The location is convenient, the surrounding restaurants are also very convenient, and the hygiene is average

Every year, we celebrate our wedding anniversary by staying at the Hotel Indigo. We love the atmosphere here, and it's so convenient for getting around. Each time we've visited, we've received a complimentary room upgrade, and the river view from the room is absolutely stunning. My old home was just across the street, so I used to frequent this place for afternoon tea and steak at Char. That's why I have such a soft spot for it!

The room size is actually quite good for the price in Shanghai. The location is very convenient, just a few kilometers from the Natural History Museum, Wukang Road, and Taikoo Hui. The bed is comfortable, and it's generally quiet. I plan to stay here again, but I really have to complain about two things, and I hope the hotel can see this and make adjustments.

1. The breakfast is simply terrible!!! I've never had such a bad hotel breakfast. Even if it's included in the room rate, it shouldn't be this bad! (I heard it costs 198 RMB per person if purchased separately, but it's not about the price, it's about the poor quality!) The meat sauce for the noodles was reheated from the same pot for several days; the yogurt wasn't individually packaged, it was all cheap bulk-sized; the bread and small cakes weren't freshly baked, they were all cold and pre-made; and the cold cuts and cheese were even worse! It doesn't resemble a hotel breakfast at all, which is a shame given the hotel's hardware and environment! (Why did I eat this awful breakfast for three days? Because I was in a hurry every day, and finding a place outside would take time. From the second day on, I just ate a bowl of noodles and an egg!)

2. The blinds near the bathtub in the room let light through at night. On the second night, I asked housekeeping for a curtain to block it. This design is really unreasonable. Also, the bar counter above the minibar in the room is too easy to bump your head on. Please, make the breakfast better.

✅ Pros

1. **Excellent Location**: Right across the road from the Dishui Lake环湖 trail, and the Duoyun Bookstore Dishui Lake branch is very close. It's also a short drive to the Shanghai Astronomy Museum, Maritime Museum, and Yaoxue Ice and Snow World. The lake view balcony rooms offer a prime viewing spot for Dishui Lake's Saturday fireworks display; you can watch the fireworks directly from your balcony without battling the crowds by the lake.
2. **Modern Facilities & High-End Amenities**: The hotel is relatively new, with most rooms around 40sqm. They feature King Koil mattresses, Dyson hairdryers, smart toilets, Nespresso coffee machines, JBL speakers, and a standard mini-bar. The decor follows an ocean/Dishui Lake theme, with wave and water elements creating a strong ambiance and great photo opportunities. The popular heated indoor pool, with its starry sky design, is a must-visit for many.
3. **Excellent Dining**: Breakfast is served from 7:00 AM to 12:30 PM, perfect for a relaxed holiday. There's a wide variety of food, including local lake fresh ingredients. The main restaurant is called ”Chao,” and there's also the ”Xi Neighbor Bar” for an evening drink.
4. **Reputable Service**: The staff are enthusiastic, and you can get in touch with them before check-in. IHG members often receive room upgrades, and even on holidays, they strive to ensure good service, sometimes offering small surprises for birthdays. Free parking is available, complete with charging stations.
5. **Diverse Room Types**: From basic lake view balcony rooms and suites to ocean-themed family rooms, there's something suitable for couples and families with children.

⚠️ Cons

1. **Small Breakfast Restaurant**: On weekends/holidays when the hotel is full, you might have to queue for breakfast, and seating can be tight during peak hours.
2. **Lake View Room Visibility**: Lake view rooms are divided into blocks. Some rooms in Block A have their views obstructed by Block B. When booking, it's recommended to request a lake view balcony room in Block B.
3. **Noise Issues in Some Rooms**: Soundproofing in some individual rooms is not great, and rooms facing the road may experience traffic noise. Room rates increase significantly on holidays, with a very high premium on fireworks days.
4. **Far from Shanghai City Center**: It's about a 1.5-hour drive from the city center, making it ideal for a one-night short getaway but not suitable for a day trip.
