Came to Shanghai for Chinese New Year, and luckily the hotel had a family room, which was perfect for our family of three. The room was spacious and very clean, with excellent facilities. The subway is just a few hundred meters away, making it super convenient to get anywhere. The staff were also very nice, and we even received a souvenir when we checked out. I'd definitely stay here again next time I visit!

We stayed in a river-view room, and as soon as we got out of the car, a staff member helped us with our luggage. The check-in experience was excellent, the room was clean, and the service was beyond words. The blinds were automatic blackout curtains, making it super quiet. It's also very convenient for visiting the Oriental Pearl Tower and the Bund. Next time I'm in Shanghai, I'll definitely stay at Xiyue again.

I really liked it. The check-in/check-out times were flexibly accommodated to suit the customer's needs, depending on room availability. It really helped alleviate my fatigue. It was also great that food delivery came right to the door. The environment was clean, and the room layout was good and comfortable. The only minor inconvenience was that the pillow was a bit too high; I wonder if they would have provided a different one if I had asked a staff member. I was too tired this time, so I just slept with it as it was.

The room was truly impressive — spotlessly clean, furnished with elegant pieces, and thoughtfully designed with attention to detail. The entire property, including the serene indoor garden, exudes a quiet, traditional charm that adds to its unique atmosphere. The only slight downside was that the room felt a bit smaller than expected but it was compensated by large area on entrance of room and on bathroom side.

Just got back from Chengdu and found some photos I took at the hotel on my phone, so I decided to write a review. Honestly, I chose this place purely for convenience. It's in Taikoo Li, and if you know, you know – you can shop until you drop and just head back to the hotel to relax anytime. But to my surprise, I found quite a few pleasant surprises. The soundproofing in the room was excellent. Taikoo Li is such a bustling area, but once you close the window, you can't hear a thing. The air conditioning was also quiet, which was a huge relief for a light sleeper like me. The bathroom amenities smelled wonderful; I looked it up and apparently, they're custom-made fragrances. After a shower, I felt completely relaxed.

For breakfast, I devoured three made-to-order egg pancakes – the chef was quick and friendly. There was a small hiccup on checkout day: I left my USB drive in the room. When I called back, I honestly didn't have high hopes, as it's a busy place with people coming and going. However, the duty manager, Rita, was incredibly attentive. She personally went to my room to search for it, and after finding it, she even asked if I wanted it sent via SF Express with payment on delivery. It's these little things that show true dedication and whether a hotel genuinely cares about its guests. You can really tell the difference. Next time I'm in Chengdu, I'll definitely be staying here again.

My holiday stay was absolutely perfect! The service was efficient and welcoming, the room was meticulously detailed, the bedding was soft and comfortable, and I didn't feel any back pain after a night's sleep. The bathroom had separate wet and dry areas, and there was no odor. Even the mouthwash cup was disinfected and had no drying marks. The dining was amazing. The freshly cooked dandan noodles for breakfast were delicious, and the fruits and vegetables were fresh. The location is also perfect, a 5-minute walk from the subway station, allowing easy access to attractions. Free parking is also very convenient. From the amenities to the service, I couldn't fault a single thing. It truly deserves its five-star rating!

Repeat trip with JOYA Hotel, great location, great services. Great hospitality and nice staff especially Ms. 文吉. Requested late check out also happily provided for us. Robot for delivered of take away food and package. 
Will choose to stay JOYA chain hotel again next time visit to China.
