The Citywell Hotel (Quanzhou Food Street) provides a great place for travelers to relax after a busy day. The Citywell Hotel (Quanzhou Food Street) is an ideal choice for travelers who want to take in the sights and sounds of Quanzhou. Traveling to the hotel is easy with Quanzhou Railway Station located approximately 11km away and Quanzhou Jinjiang International Airport roughly 13km away. With multiple attractions nearby including Chengtian Temple, Quanzhou Donghu Park and Guanyue Temple, guests will find plenty to keep themselves occupied. When guests have some time on their hands they can make use of the onsite facilities. This Quanzhou hotel offers parking on site. Our guests consider this hotel to have excellent service. This hotel is particularly popular with those traveling with families.

"First off, the front desk service was excellent. 👍 They were very thoughtful, spoke in a gentle tone, and went out of their way to help guests. When we needed to switch rooms, they offered to move our luggage for us, which was a huge plus. While waiting for our ride at checkout, the front desk even brought us lemonade. The room cleanliness was also impeccable. The front desk staff and cleaning aunties were very prompt in resolving any small issues. The hotel's location is great, with many restaurants nearby, and it's a quick taxi ride to major attractions. The robot delivery service for takeout was also very convenient. There were travel tips on the walls and cultural and creative products available for browsing in the lobby. The ground floor lobby also offered beverages like barley tea and plum juice, along with a reading nook. Breakfast mostly consisted of simple Chinese options: congee, various stir-fries, boiled and tea eggs, fried dough sticks, and small steamed buns. Western options were limited to toast and milk. However, regarding facilities and environment: (1) Upon arrival, the room still required a key card to power on the AC, and there was no AC in the hallways. The AC on the first floor was also not very strong. The temperature in Quanzhou that day was over 30 degrees Celsius, and waiting for the room to cool down was quite frustrating. (2) I made two separate bookings. For the first two days, the twin room's TV wall wallpaper was a bit dirty and the soundproofing was slightly poor. The two-bedroom suite for the latter two days was much better."

"Absolutely exceeded expectations! While the room wasn't huge, the design was quite minimalist. I really appreciate that the vanity is inside the bathroom – I personally dislike it when it's outside as it disturbs whoever you're sharing the room with. They even provide makeup remover and facial cleanser, which is a fantastic touch. All the little details were really well thought out. The hotel's location is also within the operating range of the 'little white cars' (local transport), and the environment isn't too noisy. Plus, there are bus stops right downstairs that can take you to many places."

"The hotel's location is excellent. It's right behind Liuguan Road, making it incredibly convenient for food and drinks. All the well-known delivery spots are also very close by, so delivery is super fast. It's also within walking distance to West Street, and if you don't feel like walking, there's a bus stop just a hundred meters away. I have to say, Quanzhou's bus system is very developed. The hotel service is also great; the staff are all very friendly and greet you warmly, and they respond to requests very promptly. In terms of cleanliness, for such an affordable price, the hygiene is also very good. Overall, I highly recommend this place for friends visiting Quanzhou. Quanzhou's tourism reputation is fantastic, and the food in Quanzhou is delicious. I'll definitely come back next time!"

"This hotel definitely doesn't meet five-star standards. The room was practically empty, just a coffee table, a chair, and the bed – that's it. When we asked for an extra chair, they brought a folding one, but there was no sofa, no proper desk
nothing else. What truly surprised me was how hot the room was. My husband was sweating profusely, thinking the AC wasn't strong enough. Turns out, when we finally got through to reception (side note: the phone was initially hard to connect, and the QR code for hotel services in the room was invalid – it felt like the hotel was on its last legs, honestly), the staff admitted the air conditioning wasn't even on! This is supposed to be a five-star hotel! They only agreed to turn it on after we insisted. My guess is they keep it off everywhere and only activate it for specific rooms when guests complain, all to save money and cut corners. The tea set in the room was shoddy – cheap enamel mugs you'd find on the street for a couple of bucks, and disposable cups. Again, I was shocked. There wasn't even any welcome fruit. Yet, the bathroom was huge and had a big bathtub. The luxurious size of the bathroom and the sparse, basic amenities in the bedroom created a bizarre contrast! They absolutely refused to add a children's meal to breakfast. It seems breakfast is their only real revenue stream. I heard it's quite lavish, though not much meat, and costs around 180 per person? The owner clearly has a strong grasp on saving money and maximizing profit; I have to admire that! So, do I recommend it? You decide for yourself. To be honest, I'm not exaggerating anything. I wonder if many other reviews are fake, but mine certainly isn't! đŸ€·"

Hotel near Xunpu Village/Donghai Taihe Plaza,Quanzhou
As an international hotel brand, InterContinental Quanzhou has become a highly anticipated core building in the city with its transcendent style and excellent quality. The hotel is located in the Donghai Taihe Plaza, which is known as a commercial aircraft carrier. It is built along the Jinjiang River and enjoys the beautiful city scenery. It is close to the Taikoo Plaza in the East Bay and the Xiapu Folk Culture Village. It is only a 20-minute drive from Jinjiang International Airport, a 30-minute drive from Quanzhou Railway Station, and a 5-minute drive to Jinjiang Bridge. InterContinental Quanzhou is happy to share more excitement with you, allowing you to enjoy the "InterContinental Life" while experiencing the comfort of "Knowing and Traveling in Quanzhou".

"Booked for 5 nights, and the InterContinental brand certainly delivers. The hotel is quite close to the airport, very convenient for getting around, and has excellent amenities nearby. We were able to check in immediately upon arrival in the morning, no waiting for a room. The front desk staff patiently answered all our questions and even thoughtfully provided their personal list of recommended local eateries. Upon entering our room, we discovered it was InterContinental Quanzhou's 8th anniversary, and we received a voucher for the 5th-floor Chinese restaurant and a discounted rate for the Western restaurant, which was a pleasant surprise. The room's layout was great, it was quiet, and the soundproofing was effective. Toiletries were well-stocked, the bedding was very comfortable, and they had even arranged for buckwheat pillows as per our prior request – the service was truly attentive. A special thank you to the housekeeping staff who cleaned our room every day; it was always spotless and tidy when we returned from our outings. Now for a couple of minor drawbacks. Given it's an InterContinental, I would have hoped for more tech integration, like smart toilets or automated curtains. Also, while the breakfast had a good variety and Fujianese specialties, the taste of the Chinese dishes could be improved, and perhaps a wider selection would be nice. We might have felt this more since we stayed for 5 days, and it started to feel a bit repetitive. The food at the 5th-floor Chinese restaurant wasn't as good as expected; the beef was too sinewy to chew, and when we mentioned it to the waiter, they just smiled, which wasn't ideal. Overall, though, we were quite satisfied and would recommend it."

"Traveling with a child, front desk staff member Yechen provided exceptional service. She proactively upgraded our room and a robot even delivered toothbrushes and slippers to our little one, which made them very happy. The breakfast was delicious with a good variety, and our child really enjoyed it, making for a very comfortable stay.
