"We booked a 2 double beds room. The bed is good, but the heater is too old and noisy. So it was quite annoying and easily made us awake. The room's size for double size beda is not spacious, it is quite tight. Food Basics is located a couple of minutes walk. So, we can easily buy fruits, breads and some frozen fooda as the room alao has the microwave."

"Booked this hotel last minute as we had to stay one extra night in the city and it was really amazing! This is a hotel I would definitely go back! The lady at the counter was extremely nice and she spoke Portuguese! She was really happy to be able to speak with us in Portuguese and we were happy she spoke Portuguese! The hotel location is really good, downtown near the parliament, and the room was amazing! Really big and spacious studio with a kitchen and a living room. Bed was really comfortable but the sofa bed was not that good (as in all hotels). Toilet was big and had all the amenities. Breakfast was good and had eggs, bacon, fruits, cereals, fresh waffles, chia pudding, bread, … They have private parking at an extra fee but the entrance is really narrow. There’s also street parking around at a fee."

"The hotel is more impressive than expected, and transportation is convenient. Most of the scenic spots can be reached on foot by crossing the bridge. Of course, it's also easy to park if you drive here. The rooms are spacious and clean, but unfortunately, the air conditioner is a bit noisy. The hotel uses a central air-conditioning system, which is much quieter than traditional independent air conditioners. It's believed that the noise can be reduced through proper maintenance."

"The room was a bit small, and the counter felt like something from an economy hotel. Perhaps as an online platform guest, I was assigned a lower floor room where a huge exhaust fan on the outdoor platform vibrated and made noise clearly audible inside. I got back to the hotel late at night, and my child fell asleep immediately, so I didn't want to complain in the middle of the night. I finally fell asleep after two hours, a really terrible stay. However, the cleaning lady in the morning was excellent; I left my wallet on the table, and she immediately took it to the front desk. Thumbs up for her!"

"I had a short one-night trip to Ottawa and stayed at the Best Western Plus Ottawa-Gatineau Downtown. The location was great—close to Ottawa’s main attractions, yet in a quieter area across the bridge, away from the busy downtown. The atmosphere was calm and relaxing. However, the room amenities were quite basic, which matches its more affordable price. Still, there are some convenient options on the RC floor, like access to water, hot water, coffee, and a microwave. Overall, it’s a good choice for a short and budget-friendly stay near downtown Ottawa."
