Ibis Budget Frankfurt City Ost, located on the east side of Frankfurt, was a simple, clean, and business-oriented hotel. The room was compact but had all the necessary facilities, which was sufficient for a short stay. It's close to the nearest station and offers convenient access to the city center, making it a good location for business trips. While it's not luxurious, I think it offers good value for money considering the price. However, please be aware that it completely lacks amenities typically found in standard business hotels, such as toiletries, a security box, kettle, hairdryer, and refrigerator.
There are hangers, but as shown in the picture, they are not detachable, which made them inconvenient to use.
The reception staff were friendly and for some reason, called me by name during check-in. (Apparently, I was the only Japanese guest that day.)

Cleanliness 5, Location 5, Service 5, Facilities/Amenities 4 (out of 5). Sometimes the noise from the floor above was a bit noticeable, but overall it was a quiet stay in a calm area. The tram station was very close, making it super convenient to get to the city center easily. There was no kettle, but it was great to be able to use the microwave on the first floor. The staff were also very kind.

I stayed at this hotel a year ago and loved it.
This year, unfortunately, I was a bit disappointed. There was limescale buildup on the sink, some of the furniture was broken, and there was an unpleasant smell in the room.
Last year, I really appreciated the small tea and coffee bar.
This time, it was sadly gone.
Downstairs at the bar, there was a small selection of teas: five black teas and one Istanbul Night. I would have preferred some kind of herbal or fruit tea.

Indeed great location. Very close to great restaurants, shops, beside the Main river. The river has awesome views. The room inside are nice, well arranged, we unfortunately did not get a good-view room as we requested. The aircon is a little bit noisy, better to switch it off during sleep time. I wish they have a filtered drinking water maybe in the lobby, just to give guest a feel of security for drinking their tap water specially when guests have a long flight the next day.
Because stores close early, it is hard to find stores that sell bottled water.

The location is excellent. The lobby looks a bit like a fast or hotel, probably because the city center is very expensive. The room is small and a bit crowded if there are a lot of luggage or a lot of people. The elevator is the old-fashioned one that you have to push the door.
There is a kettle, bottled water, hand soap, shampoo and shower gel two-in-one, a wardrobe, and a dressing mirror behind the door.

Wir hatten einen sehr angenehmen Aufenthalt im Eastfive Hotel. Das Hotel war sehr sauber, die Zimmer gepflegt und ordentlich – da gibt es wirklich nichts zu beanstanden.
Die Lage ist etwas außerhalb, was man einplanen sollte, aber für den Preis – gerade über Silvester – absolut fair. Dafür kann man wirklich nicht meckern.
Das Frühstück war gut und hatte eine ordentliche Auswahl, allerdings war es leider sehr voll, sodass es zeitweise etwas hektisch wurde.
Insgesamt ein gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis und eine klare Empfehlung, wenn man ein sauberes Hotel zu einem vernünftigen Preis sucht.

There are not many types of breakfast, and the location is quite convenient. By chance, I stayed for two nights in a row. If you want to be close to the city, you can choose to stay. You can walk to the central area.

Headline: Not recommended if you want to be near the city.
While the room was clean, it was far too small and lacked essential furniture like a wardrobe or a mini-fridge. The bathroom was the only spacious part of the room. The biggest downside is the location; being 6km away means spending an extra €25+ daily on transport. Any money you save on the room rate, you will likely spend on taxis or transit.

VVaish’sI had a comfortable and convenient stay at Hampton by Hilton Frankfurt Messe during my recent trip.
The biggest advantage of this hotel is its location—it’s very close to the Frankfurt Messe (exhibition center) and well-connected by tram and train, making it easy to get around the city.
The rooms are clean, modern, and well-maintained. While not very spacious, they are thoughtfully designed and perfect for a short business or leisure stay. The bed was comfortable, and the soundproofing was decent, ensuring a good night’s sleep.
One of the highlights was the complimentary breakfast, which had a good spread including breads, fruits, eggs, and beverages. It can get a bit crowded during peak hours, but the staff manages it reasonably well.
The staff were polite and helpful, assisting promptly with check-in and any queries.
A small downside is that the hotel can feel a bit busy due to its proximity to the Messe, especially during events. Also, room sizes may feel slightly compact if you’re traveling with multiple suitcases.
Overall, it’s a great value-for-money hotel in Frankfurt, especially if you want convenience, cleanliness, and reliable service without spending too much.

Otherwise, you might end up walking in a circle around the station like I did. The hotel also has a bathtub, which is a nice touch, and the breakfast was decent too.

AArchDragonWe visited on 11 April 2026. The hotel is located near the main train station (Hauptbahnhof), but it’s a bit hidden, so you may need some navigation to find it.
The lobby is clean and warm, which is especially nice in cold weather when you’re heading back after a long day. A thoughtful touch is the complimentary fresh water infused with mint leaves and lemon slices, as well as free Granny Smith apples available for guests.
We stayed in Room 405, which was very clean and tidy. The air conditioning worked well during warmer days. The bathroom includes a heating rack, which is useful for drying laundry or warming clothes before heading out.
However, no dental kits were provided, so be sure to bring your own. Basic amenities like hand wash, shampoo, and body wash are available. One downside is the shower, the water pressure is quite weak, and the temperature fluctuates between hot and cold regardless of the dial setting.
A point to be cautious about: the street outside can feel unsafe, especially at night. There were people smoking and drinking, with occasional loud noises such as shouting or music. The area was also quite dirty, with noticeable trash and a strong smell of urine. It’s best to stay alert if walking alone, particularly after dark.

A bit off point for me as my room is at the station side which it’s very noisy and can’t have a proper sleep for my 4 nights stay. Requested to change the room but the hotel refused to do so as mentioned room is perfect to stay. This is because need to open the window let the cool air come into the room, so forced to bear with the noise🙂↕️
