Amazing
HH.MAT-I couldn't adjust the air conditioner temperature properly, and it got so hot in the middle of the night that I got a headache and felt unwell. I don't really know how to set it to lower the temperature. - The food recommended in the club lounge was so-so, but the head chef came over to greet me and explain. I was impressed by his perfect service. - The staff in every department had wonderful smiles. - When I filled the bathtub with water, it was full of debris. It's probably because you can't tell until you fill it with water, so it's not always properly cleaned. - The shower water doesn't drain quickly; the more you use it, the more it accumulates on the floor, and the water doesn't stop immediately even after turning it off. Overall, I think the person instructing the cleaning isn't checking for problems after staying there themselves. The cleaning staff are just doing what they're told.

Amazing
220020We had an awesome time at Shangrila Jakarta. Booking the clubroom was the best decision as we could have free flow drinks, afternoon tea and evening canapes. For those with children and not allowed into the lounge during evening time, they have allocated an area in the lobby lounge for families to enjoy their evening canapes and adults could still order any alcohol drinks served ala carte should they desire to do so—all inclusive. Lounge food was delicious. There were scones, salmon, smoked salmon sandwiches, profiteroles, sushi, satay, cakes etc. we would absolutely do the same should we be going to Jakarta again. There’s also a water playground with water slides and big tipping bucket for children. Pool is big and enjoyable. There are also fringe activities for children like bracelet making and also a bouncy castle and a swing. Rooms were kept clean and tidy and the toilet (with separate bathtub and shower) was huge! Room temperature control was accurate and good too. The only thing is that it is not located walking distance/connected to the big malls. But taking a bluebird cab out to mega malls is easy and also of budget cost. Breakfast spread is amazing and seating was fast too. Kids were also greeted with goodie bags on arrival. Hospitality was great. Thanks so much Shangrila!

JjohantajuddinI had a great stay at Yello Hotel Harmoni Jakarta. The hotel is in a very strategic location, making it easy to access many attractions and business areas around Central Jakarta. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, with a modern and vibrant design that gave the hotel a unique atmosphere. The staff were friendly, professional, and always ready to assist whenever needed. Breakfast offered a good variety of food, and the overall service exceeded my expectations. The direct access to the mall and nearby dining options was also very convenient. Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and affordable stay in Jakarta, and I would gladly stay here again in the future.

GGuest UserA mixed bag of feelings here. I thought I was feeling lucky when they told me at check-in that I was getting a complimentary upgrade (to Deluxe) Unfortunately I was plagued with a number of recurrent issues. The room itself is very nice (311), best thing about it was the bed and the views into the city by the window. With that said, it did have a number of issues, so it was not the finished article in my mind (the safe locked without instructions, the wooden strip on the floor coming off making me trip, the kettle malfunctioning, not hot water on the basin, so had to use the kettle to shave daily) When I arrived, it had not been fully cleaned (see pictures) All of these were actually minor issues vs. other stuff I experienced, I didn't make much of it as I was getting an upgrade. The problems came a few days later when it started raining, and suddenly I was getting sore throats in the room with the temp marking almost 25c and the air con off. I had to take mucolytics and anti-flu tablets cause I was getting a bad cold there. I was wondering if the air conduct were releasing bad spores into the air because it was so tatty (pictures attached) So with no heating, I got cold there with 27c outside, I find this very very strange. But the much bigger problem was a few days later when I was hearing massive thumps, bangs and wall stomping from the room right above me, they had placed a family with 4 kids on top of me and it went on at all times in the evening. It got so bad that I requested a change of room, and surprise, they gave me a really REALLY bad downgrade to the 17th floor in a much smaller room, on a really grotty floor that looked like a 2 star highway motel. I thought maybe they were penalising me. The staff at reception told me the next day the people checked out, but the same noises continued another 2 days, so they lied to me or they placed another family with noisy children. The floor on top is super thin. You can hear anyone walking as if they re stomping on it.It will drive you crazy. I also heard people next door hammering something at 1 am in the morning for two nights straight. This hotel has big structural problems. I don't pay $520 to get tortured, it felt like it at some point. On a separate note, the breakfast service was more like a brunch, very varied and many choices (except for meat and fish that was very underwhelming) They had a temp control management problem, there were mornings when I touched the trays and they were at room temp. Also the plates for the hot section are not heated, so that with the powerful air con overhead translated into your hot food going lukewarm almost immediately, which makes it taste disgusting. It was only the last 2 or 3 days when I started placing my plates on the griddle for a few mins with the staff's permission, when I could finally start eating hot food. Due to this, I was getting ”stomach runs” every single day after breakfast, except for two days. This is a breach of H&S So there are several issues that affected my health here. The restaurant and cafe in the evening had some good meals. The Mexican had some Western tucker that I enjoyed, my last meal (Mexican enchiladas) was underwhelming, felt like cantine food that was microwaved and badly, because I had to send it back for being lukewarm. Overall I cannot recommend this hotel due to numerous health problems I suffered. I also discovered that if it weren't for the upgrade, I would have been given a horrible room like the one I saw quite possibly.(the room I received cost almost $1000 for two weeks, still very overpriced) This wasn't cheap, and I feel it was so expensive for what it was. Definitely not a 4 star, a 3 star is more befitting. The staff was mostly corteous, And premises are up to standard only in places. The gym was very nice. The pool area nice with some views, if only a little tiny..

張建華 LoireAn old-school upscale business hotel. Very good service with friendly and helpful staff. Spacious room with adequate amenities. With international electric sockets that was very convenient for international tourists. A Family Mart and a KFC are just round the corner, Without 10 minutes walk to find many eateries. Not around with shopping centres. The swimming pool and full-gear gym were excellent! I'd in particular mention Tria of the lobby lounge. I went to the lounge also every evening throughout my stay, Tria was very friendly and consistently provided excellent service.

CChristine LokNot that recommended if you looking for a 5 star hotel standards. Staffs are friendly, but the room doesn't looks like the photos it shows. My room's lights are quite dark, and beside the roadside. So even is at 12am still quite noisy from the outside. And the plugs beside the bed both have issue, so I have to inform the team. For the telephone, I couldn't call the team, they said probably technician problem, so come and fixed it. But after checking it said because I didn't press 0 first. I think it would be great if on the phone they can paste an instruction sticker better. The light in the toilet also quite dark, it is hard for a lady to do the makeup since light is not enough and there's no additional small mirror that can zoom in see the details type. The location is great, you can walk over to plaza indo and grand indo. Staffs are friendly and helpful also. But overall quality needs to improve if looking for 5 stars standards.

DDr. AdamThis is my first time booking at this hotel and I stayed for 3 nights. It feels like a 3.5 stars hotel but they claim to be a 5 stars hotel. If you follow my reviews you'd know that I rate, review and critic honestly and professionally. At this hotel I got the Bulgari Suite. I'd the suites was 4.5 stars, customer service is 5 stars, but the hotel I'd place it a 3.2 stars based on followings: - Reception: very friendly, helpful, polite and customer service is a 5 stars hotel experience. The customer experience manager and Flo are highly trained and professional. That was above excellent because of those 2 ladies. - Lobby and vibe: I wouldn't give it a 5 stars because this hotel honestly isn't 5 stars. It's clean but outdated, it feels like a 5 stars lobby from the 1980s if even. - Rooms: depending on the room you book. If you book the standard rooms, you'll get a a 2.5 - 3 stars feeling (not 5 stars). If you book middle - high range rooms, you'll definitely get your money's worth. All rooms are moderately specious (30 - 45 sqm). Rooms are clean, beds are also clean with fresh smelling pillows and they are well prepared and feel right at home. - Restaurants & Cafes: the breakfast includes standard Continental, Western, Local and East/Soutth Asian and Middle Eastern (a bit of everything). The food quality isn't close to 5 stars (it's NOT the fault of staff), the quality isn't there to claim 5 stars. Plates, glasses, cutlery are stained (NOT from staff), it's because of the dishwashers they use mostly outdated. Also worth mentioning, the quality of guests isn't 5 stars (no political correctness), guests cut lines, poor table mannerism, loud laughing etc. The hotel attracts a below middle class guests. - Gym & Pool: the gym is excellent, they have a smith machine, cable machine, dumbbells, free weights and cardio machines. Typically everything you need for a workout. However, they close at 7pm (unless high season) because they saving power as described on a sign in front of the gym. So, gym and pool, close at 7pm to save power. - Location: you're close to Chinatown and relatively to the airport and Ancol, and everything including tourist places are within 15-30 min drive from the hotel. - The Hotel in General: I've visited and reviewed close to 500 hotels throughout the years and I can say that for this hotel claim 5 stars is a very long shot. A total renovation would even put it a 4 stars. - Summary: you'll definitely get your money's worth at this hotel if you book the Bulgari suites. Otherwise, not worth it if you're looking for a 5 stars stay. I'd take my hat off for the staff, I respect and highly rate each of them, but the hotel itself I'd place it at 2.5 stars. However, if you don't care about the 5 stars claim, this hotel would be good for you. I liked being in the room, gym, pool, chatting with the amazing staff, but disliked everything else about this hotel. Poor foid quality, 2 stars guests quality, not a location I prefer, the restaurant hygiene is poor, the lift is slow, weekend sometimes they have events and the whole hotel feels like a Sunday market with low quality guests. Therefore, my issue with this hotel is they claim a 5 stars that isn't provided by any ISO or anyone but the hotel itself and maybe government connections as such behaviour is common in South East Asia. Lastly, would I go back? No!

MMilo S.The hotel has a fairly good location in central Jakarta, making it convenient for shopping and getting around the city. The room was decent overall, although it felt a little outdated. The biggest issue during my stay was the noise from motorcycles on the main road outside. The sound was extremely loud and could be heard clearly inside the room, making it difficult to sleep at night. The lobby was also quite small, and the breakfast area felt crowded and chaotic, with not enough tables available during busy hours. However, despite these issues, the staff provided excellent service throughout my stay. Everyone was friendly, professional, and genuinely helpful, which made the experience much better.
