GatorkaiPros:
1. Unbeatable Location: Extremely convenient! Just a 1-minute walk from JR Hakodate Station and 1 minute to the Hakodate Morning Market.
2. Compact yet Functional Room: Although the room is on the smaller side (16 sqm), the layout is very well-designed, so it didn't feel cramped at all.
3. Smooth Service: Fast and hassle-free check-in and check-out process. We opted for a 2-hour late check-out for an additional 2,000 JPY, which was totally worth it.
Cons:
Elevator Congestion: The only real downside during our stay was the heavy elevator congestion during morning peak hours (08:30–10:30). If you are heading out during this time, make sure to budget a little extra waiting time!

XiaomaguaEgoI specifically visited this hotel, which is featured in Detective Conan, right next to Hakodate Station.
The location is unbeatable, right next to Hakodate Station, making it super convenient for getting around and shopping. The hotel also offers free luggage storage, which saves a lot of hassle when exploring the old town or catching transportation.
Objectively, the room size is a bit small, typical of compact Japanese-style rooms, but it's well-maintained and clean, with all the basic toiletries readily available.
The atmosphere is absolutely amazing: the hotel entrance is the exact same spot seen in the show, with Conan-themed posters everywhere. For Conan fans, this place perfectly captures the vibe.
The convenience of the location is a big plus. It's ideal for Conan enthusiasts looking for a short stay. Those seeking spacious rooms should probably look elsewhere.

Miimouse TravelHotel is located close to the station so it was easy access from the airport. We checked in around 20:00 and we booked a bus runs by hotel (2,000yen per person) go to Hakodate mountain to see this famous night view. It was the last two seats so if you are thinking to go better to book in advance.
Hotel also runs complementary shuttle bus around the city - easy access to every sightseeing place.
Breakfast buffet was great, they have a little their own inconvenient store in the hotel so you don’t have to go out to buy something that you need. The lounge area was also great. after we took a bath we both and ice cream and we sat down there walking at the traditional sea glasses lamps which was pretty good time.

LW_user- microwave and washing machine in the room(recommended to buy Hakodate milk and heat it up using microwave, make your own milktea using free tea bag from hotel)
- great location, right beside hakodate morning market
- there is a Hot spring bath with sea view
- free coffee and a comfortable lounge with sea view
- unpleasant check-in experience, one of the staff is impatient
- No bottled water provided in the room.
Check-in experience was a bit unpleasant when we arrived earlier (we knew we were early and weren’t requesting for early check-in). One of the male staff was quite unfriendly and kept repeating “no early check-in” when we were just asking whether we could store our luggage before check-in. He seemed quite impatient throughout.
However, the rest of the staff were good, and even lent us a knife and cutting board to cut the melon we bought. Location is great, right beside the morning market, and only about a 7-minute walk to the JR station. We came during spring so the walk was totally fine.

A rare find at this ocean-view hot spring hotel! Soaking in the hot spring while gazing at the sea, daydreaming, or chatting is simply wonderful! From the moment we arrived, we had a dedicated butler who escorted us to the large lounge for check-in. While their English wasn't fluent, they could communicate in Japanese and Chinese using a translation app, and were very responsible in repeatedly confirming our reservation times. The private hot spring bath we booked was excellent in both its environment and facilities, and both the indoor and outdoor public baths offered ocean views. Cleanliness was impeccable, and the ocean-view room was enormous; we even had albatrosses visiting outside the window. The kaiseki cuisine at breakfast and dinner was absolutely amazing—delicious and beautifully presented—I was extremely satisfied!

Guest UserThere are 5 beds, perfect for a family. We could spread out our luggage, and the location was generally walkable, which was nice. The only downside was that the toilet and shower were combined and quite small. I've stayed in many hotels and guesthouses in Japan, and this bathroom was definitely on the smaller side.
Location: It's right opposite Hakodate Station, which is excellent. Bus stops 11 and 12 in front of the station are for the shuttle to Hakodate Airport. Our room also faced Hakodate Station, which was a great view.
Service: You can choose daily housekeeping or opt out. If you skip housekeeping, you can get fresh water at the front desk. However, we chose to have our room cleaned and beds made.
On the first floor, there's a laundry room and self-service luggage storage. There's also a microwave on each floor right outside the elevator.

Anonymous UserThe hotel is quite large, with several buildings. The room we booked was also spacious, with four beds, but the floor wasn't great – the view outside the window was of another building's rooftop. The hotel's location is pretty good, and it's convenient for getting around; you can walk to the delicious Haiguangfang. They even provided two Refa curling irons in the room, which was a pleasant surprise.

Tatiana AnashkoThe hotel is conveniently located, literally about 5 minutes from the station, which is great if you are travelling with luggage. The room had the basic essentials, and the area is surrounded by many restaurants.
However, for the price, I expected more. The room for two people was extremely small: basically just a bed, a very narrow table with almost no usable space, one chair, and a fridge. The space under the bed for suitcases is a smart idea, but it does not really solve the problem, as there is simply nowhere comfortable to sit or spend time in the room.
Another thing I found strange was that there was a Bible and The Book of Mormon in the room. At first, I thought previous guests had left them behind, so I went downstairs to ask, and was told that this was official hotel literature. I found this confusing and unnecessary.
A charger was also provided, but it was not clearly marked as a hotel item, so at first I thought it had been left behind by another guest and that the room had not been cleaned properly.
The hotel provides various disposable amenities, but surprisingly there were no toothbrushes.
Overall, the experience was not great. The location is convenient, but the room size, check-in experience, and some strange details made the stay disappointing.

Ningshishenyuan20I stayed for three nights in a king-size bed room, room 422. On the morning of July 21, 2026, I saw a maid tidying up the room next door, so I told her I was on a multi-night stay and didn't need my room cleaned, just a bottle of water. Then I changed my mind and asked for the water for the third day as well. She responded rather rudely, curtly refusing me with 'no,' stating that only one bottle was given per day. She didn't use polite language and had a completely different demeanor from the other hotel staff.
The maid on the second day, however, was very polite. She proactively asked if I needed a bottle of water. I said no, but she thoughtfully left bathrobes, towels, and water outside my room door later. Although I didn't use them, her service felt warm and considerate.
