I returned to this hotel, and having stayed here twice before, I'm quite familiar with it! The weather wasn't great, with constant rain, so I had more time to spend at the hotel. The room was still very comfortable, and the restaurant served as a good spot for me to work and chat with the staff. Everyone was so friendly, it felt just like being back home. I hope the hotel will offer breakfast upon opening, or at least provide options to buy breakfast or dinner ingredients – that would be even better. The staff were all unexpectedly friendly! I'll definitely come back if I have the chance.
TangWu is the perfect place to unwind after a day of travel or work.
Grab a bite to eat at the in-house restaurant which serves Chinese dishes. Enjoy a meal right from the comfort of your room with room service from the on-site restaurant. Want to grab something to drink? Head to the in-house bar or cafe.
At this villa, you'll also find facilities including a garden and tea room. This property also offers free luggage storage.
When driving to the property, you can use the free parking lot.

I rarely write reviews, but this guesthouse was so incredibly comfortable that I just had to express my genuine feelings, haha! 😄 First, I have to rave about the owner's cooking – it truly tasted like home! 😭 On the evening of our arrival, after the owner picked us up and took us to the guesthouse, I was so hungry that I asked them to make some biangbiang noodles. Wow, they were absolutely amazing! Easily the best biangbiang noodles I've ever had! 😭 I immediately ordered them again for lunch the next day! Then, the breakfast the next day had both Western and Chinese options and was also delicious 😋 – it really energized us for the day's travels! We also had dinner at the guesthouse, because as an international student, I was really craving some authentic home cooking. Eating dinner there, it truly felt like ages since I'd had a proper home-cooked meal like that 🥹. Finally, for lunch before we checked out, we had handmade dumplings 🥟 which were also so delicious 🤤, and so fresh! They even gave us a complimentary dish of sweet and sour pork ribs! So happy! 🥰
Secondly! I'm so grateful to the owner for taking us to Mount Omuro and for picking us up late at night to go to the hot springs near Izu Kogen Station ♨️ – it was so relaxing! The owner was just incredibly enthusiastic about driving us back and forth to the station! Of course, the guesthouse environment itself is also impeccable – beautiful, high-class, comfortable, clean, and tidy, full marks! In short, when Mount Omuro turns green again, I'll definitely come back to Izu and stay here! 😋
Let's nakayukui in Izu Kogen. A healing pension where you can stay with dogs.

A very satisfactory B&B. The navigation on Google Maps was correct. It was a B&B run by a couple. The owner, especially the lady boss, spoke good English and was very friendly. They even drove us to the supermarket to buy things at night and helped us to arrange for the next day's shopping. Communicate with the other hotel we stayed at, plan the itinerary, and drive us to our destination. It was a really great experience, which really reflected the friendliness, simplicity and patience of the locals. It is a B&B worth recommending. I will definitely choose this place again next time I go to Izu!

I absolutely, absolutely, absolutely loved the Hachiman-no Wayo-shiki room type at KIRA-NO-SATO!
Upon reaching the floor of our room, we had to take off our shoes and put them in a shoe cabinet, then walk barefoot to the room. If you're heading to the public bathhouse or just exploring the hotel, you can wear the geta (wooden clogs) provided by the shoe cabinet. The floors were incredibly clean; walking barefoot was very comfortable and not dirty at all.
The room itself was spotless and spacious, not feeling old-fashioned in the slightest. In fact, it looked quite new. The shower room's design reminded me of a sauna, but it was very comfortable and clean.
We didn't use the public bath. Instead, we showered in our room each time before grabbing the key for a private onsen. The 'Stone Craftsman' bath, made of stone, was a bit small; it felt a little cramped for two people. 'Bamboo Immortal' was made of wood (or perhaps bamboo, judging by the name?) and offered more space. 'Rock Seat' was more like a small swimming pool, the largest of the three private onsens, very spacious for two, and had the best overhead cover.
The hotel front desk offered complimentary drinks, including sodas, coffee, and tea. The public bath area provided milk and coffee milk in the mornings, and lactic acid drinks and ice cream in the evenings. The building next to the front desk offered various refreshments at different times, such as green tea, local sweet potatoes, soba noodles, and oden.
The hotel also offers a convenient shuttle bus service to Izu-Kogen Station, though it stops running after 5:30 PM. After that, you'd have to walk. The walk from the station to the hotel is uphill with a significant incline, which can be tiring if you have luggage or many bags.
The hotel staff were all very enthusiastic and polite! I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone planning a trip to Izu~
Hello This facility has hot spring facilities because it is by appointment only. Therefore, you need to apply in advance when you use it (refer to the front desk when you check in) . The usage time for each room is 1 hour exclusively for each room. At the same time, please note that the hotel rooms with room numbers (107) (106) (105)(103) need to use the public bathing area because they do not have a separate shower room. In principle, only showers are provided. If you need to use the hot spring, please Confirm with the staff according to the instructions above.

The hotel is located in a picturesque place. The staff is helpful and pleasant. There are no shops nearby, but we were warned about this. They met us at the station and took us to the station!
We recommend it to everyone who also cares about aesthetic pleasure!

The room was very large, spacious, and bright, and it even had a sea view. Although the hotel's exterior looks a bit dated, the interior structure and facilities are well-maintained and excellent. Plus, the price offers great value and is very competitive. The only minor drawback is that it's a 20-minute walk to both the train and bus stations. However, this isn't an issue for guests who drive, as there's parking available, including charging stations.

The living environment is good, clean and spacious, the child also took the starry sky at night 🌃 It happened that a Chinese boss was warm and thoughtful. He took the time to help send our family to the attractions and stations, which saved us a lot of time. The recommended Atami to see the early cherry blossoms 🌸 is beautiful! Dashishan, the zoo, the Chenghuang Coast, and the Cat Museum around the homestay have all gone. I will come back to Izu in the future and I will go back to the flower margin. ~

A wonderful ryokan with its own private onsen, offering two types: open-air and indoor. Dinner and breakfast are included, and everything is incredibly delicious, featuring many new and unusual dishes. They use only high-quality ingredients for preparation. All dishes are served sequentially, with detailed explanations of what each dish is and the best order to eat them. There's a huge variety of dishes – you'll be full for a week! The presentation is like something out of a Michelin-starred restaurant.
The room comes with both a kimono and pajamas, along with men's and women's amenity sets.
The room itself is spacious. They prepare the tatami for you to sleep on and then put it away. The tatami was comfortable, though I found the pillows a bit hard. They were special therapeutic pillows filled with grains (perhaps buckwheat, I'm not sure what they use in Japan).

Amazing
MM18425****We were very satisfied with both the room and the service. I highly recommend booking a package that includes both breakfast and dinner to experience the full Japanese service. For families or couples, after checking in, you can use the in-room phone (dial 8) to reserve a 50-minute private family bath session with the front desk. (You might be able to get the key a bit earlier depending on availability.) The cost is about 1680 JPY, which is quite reasonable. Prices for additional drinks, meals, and SPA services are also within a sensible range.
One thing to note is that the hotel is located halfway up a hill, so I don't recommend walking there if you have large luggage. You can contact the hotel in advance to inquire about shuttle bus options or take a taxi from Ito Station. If you absolutely must walk, do not follow Google Maps' route from Minami-Ito Station, as this path involves climbing stairs and going over a hill.
GGuest UserThis hotel has a unique inclined elevator, like a mountain cable car, which is something you don't see in many places. There are also foot massage machines next to the lobby on the first floor, so you might want to give them a try if you have the chance.
GGuest UserIt was love from the first sight. Lovely and silent place that what you need after all the hustle and bustle of big cities. Hot springs are relaxing and food is delicious. Wish had more days there.
Big thanks to all the staff who created such atmosphere
XXiaomuMUSI”This trip to Izu Kogen was made particularly memorable because of this B&B. As soon as I arrived at the B&B, the owner's warm welcome made me feel like spring breeze. The owner was very considerate. Not only did he introduce us to the surrounding attractions in detail, but he also gave us a lot of practical travel suggestions.
The environment of the B&B is even better. The room is clean and tidy, and the layout is very warm and Japanese, making people feel as comfortable as at home. The public area is also very comfortable, and the hot spring ♨️ is also very suitable for families.
It must be mentioned that this B&B is very close to the Jogasaki Coast, and it is very convenient to travel. You can just walk there, and the scenery along the way is also very beautiful.
When we went back, it rained heavily and the tram stopped running. The owner took the initiative to contact us to help us find a way, and finally sent us to our destination. Thank you very much🥹
In short, this stay experience was great. I will definitely recommend this B&B to my friends around me, and next time I come to Izu Kogen, it will still be my first choice.”👍
GGuest UserWe ( 7 of us ) booked 4 rooms in end of March, staying in Laforet for 3 nights because it has private onsen in the hotel room. Very clean ( typical japanese cleanliness), its huge ! You have both choices to stay in 2 super single bed or set your futons at the tatami lounge. Its super comfortable.
When we arrived to the hotel on a Wednesday and was hoping to have a meal at the hotel, the hotel front desk told us that we could NOT dine in the hotel as it is fully booked for whole month. We were very dissappointed, as we are paying hotel guests in the hotel and we are not allowed to dine in the hotel?! so we have to go outside of the hotel and look for dinners for next 3 days.
The town is very small and serene. So if you are looking to stay in a secluded non touristy place, this hotel definitely suitable.
GGuest UserThe room was very spacious, half Japanese-style tatami and half Western-style. The rooftop had a sea view. I booked a room with breakfast and dinner included; the food was very Japanese, the service was excellent, and the taste was good. It's difficult to find places to eat in the Omuro-yama area of Izu, so booking a room with meals was a great idea. There's also a hot spring bath, and many styles of yukata are available at the front desk. This hotel was very comfortable and I highly recommend it! The only thing to note is that you have to climb a hill to get to the hotel, but the advantage is that the children's common area on the third floor has a view of Mount Omuro. The hotel is connected to the Cactus Zoo, and staying at this hotel gets you a discount on zoo tickets. I even saw peacocks in the restaurant!
GGuest UserBeautiful onsen — our favorite stay in Japan with my family! The traditional breakfast was delicious with a very large selection of dishes. The rooms are gorgeous, quiet, and spacious — and everything was exceptionally clean. The cleaning crew truly does an amazing job.
The reception staff were very friendly and helpful, making us feel warmly welcomed. The location is excellent, just a short walk from the train station, and having a washer and dryer available for guests was a big plus.
Highly recommended — we would love to stay here again!
GGuest UserThe structure seems to be a legacy of the bubble era. The luxurious layout allows you to move between the main building and each building via pedestrians.
It's reminiscent of the 5-star hotels of Phuket and Bali of the past. The all-inclusive plan also feels like good value.
Unfortunately, however, maintenance of the interior and exterior has not kept up, and various parts are badly deteriorated. The bathhouse is also made of good granite, so it should be polished properly. The exterior walls are so black that you want to use a Karcher cleaner. I wish it was a little cleaner.
CcometdebrisI stayed at Izu Ippeki Lake Lakeside Terrace for 5 nights booking though Trip.com. Be warned that problems may occur when booking through travel websites such as this one. I booked a standard room with no meals. What I did not know however, was that this reservation did not include any room cleaning services for the entire stay, no taking of garbage or towel replacement, no bed making, nothing at all. When I contacted the travel website to show my disappointment, they immediately contacted the hotel requesting a full refund. I did not expect a full refund for my entire stay. What I did expect, was for someone to acknowledge the fact that this important piece of information should have been indicated someone on the online reservation confirmation. Neither the travel site nor the hotel would acknowledge this.
The travel site replied with a response from the hotel, saying that I was a regular guest and knew about this “regulation”. It’s true, I have visited Izu Ippeki Lake Lakeside Terrace on several occasions when housekeeping services were not included. However, this was clearly indicated on the reservation, and I stayed during the COVID STATE OF EMERGENCY, when it was standard practice for many hotels to exclude cleaning services. My recent stay was at the beginning of August, WHEN THE STATE OF EMERGENCY AND COVID RESTRICTIONS HAD BEEN LIFTED. It is no longer standard practice to exclude cleaning services at hotels in Japan.
The hotel stated that I visited the front desk every day to get towels and never mentioned the need to clean the room. This is untrue. I only came to the front dest 2 times during my stay, and this is because room cleaning staff entered my room on 2 occasions, so I was expecting them to clean or take out the trash, but they did nothing and left. I expected them to return, however, they never did. The bottom line is the hotel is responsible for communicating their services to customers, especially after covid restrictions have been lifted. Blaming guests for their lack of communication is completely unprofessional.
Now in regards to the hotel itself, I have stayed here on several occasions, I find it to be perfect, mainly because of the location and modest room size. The hotel is conveniently located near Lake Ippeki (Ippekiko) and there is plenty of nature and a few trails in the area. You can step out the door and be on a simple hiking trail within minutes. It’s a very quiet area and very good for children and families. Though the hotel is dated, the rooms are all quite large and include a living room, kitchen with cooking supplies and dishes (but no forks or spoons), a large bath, and both Western and Japanese style bedrooms. Some may be discouraged by the age of the hotel (it’s quite old and could use some renovation), but if you don’t mind that, then I would highly recommend staying here. One point that I need to mention is in regards to the bedrooms. The hotel has replaced their blackout curtains with super thin curtains which allow sunlight to easily shine through. We were woken up at 5:00 am every morning because of the bright sunlight in our room. If you’re a light sleeper, please take note. I wish management would consider this. Also, it’s highly recommended that guests come by car, public transportation is very inconvenient in the area.
Overall, Izu Ippeki Lake Lakeside Terrace is a very convenient place for a reasonable price. I will definitely be staying here again in the future, but hope that they act with a little more professionalism and consider the fact that the covid state of emergency ended long ago.
MMic890The staff here are very helpful and polite, they even helped me to contact the next hotel for clarification. Only I recommend them to build a store room around the parking lot so that the huge size of the luggage can be left there for overseas traveller and no need to bring up to the hotel by walking the long stairs, if any. Also, they can provide a simple map in the website to locate their exact hotel location and nearby shops, cafe and supermarket, train station, etc. For me, I had a great experience spent in this hotel. If you like to see sunrise, it also a good place to stay in ocean view room. If you like running, you can run along the hill side with wonderful ocean view.
Families visiting Ito often prefer hotels like Petit Hotel Izu Shabotenvillage (from CAD 126), which are well-known for their family-friendly features of spacious family rooms and child-friendly services.
Kawana Hotel (from CAD 278) provides fitness facilities for a convenient workout during your trip. Keep up with your fitness routine even when traveling!
