Amazing
GGuest UserThe first thing I'll write about Richmond Hotel Premier Sendai Ekimae is the good location. It's right next to Aobadori Station, but there is only a stairway down. An elevator is located not too far away, and I'll get to that in the last part of this review. The lobby of the hotel has a nice ambience, and the hotel offers one complimentary drink and a complimentary bowl of soba noodles. Since the majority of hotel guests take advantage of these offers, the lobby and bar can be crowded during both day and night (until 22:00). The staff whom I interacted with, especially the young lady upon check-in, were all very friendly and helpful. Water coolers are available on each floor next to the elevators, so if it's late at night and you're out of water, you don't have to go far. This is a good service by the hotel. I really like the fact that from the ground level, you can take the elevator directly up to your room floor, bypassing the usually busy and crowded lobby. When it comes to sound insulation between rooms, unfortunately this was not too good. I was able to hear my neighbours banging their limbs, suitcases, clothes hangers etc. against the walls. I didn't really hear talking, but that's probably because my neighbours were Japanese and talked to each other in low tones (non-Japanese people should emulate this). As for noise from the streets, my room faced another building (which was what I requested), so I didn't hear much traffic noise. The shower temperature in my first room fluctuated badly. It would be hot for about 30 seconds, then it turned cold for a minute, then hot again for 15 seconds, then cold again for a long time. The hotel staff helped me switch to a different room, and the shower temperature in the second room was fine. The furniture in the rooms are a bit old, but that's not a big issue. The fridges on the other hand are too small and not cold, the hotel should purchase larger and better units. A nitpick of mine is having to use the television to choose the 'Do Not Disturb' sign for the cleaners. I'd much rather a switch next to the door, or the traditional sign to hang on the doorknob. I did not have breakfast at the hotel nor did I use any of the facilities, so I have no comment on those services. Overall, I had a good stay at this hotel and would recommend it to others. I hope that in the future the sound insulation between rooms can be vastly improved, and that the hotel can provide physical 'Do Not Disturb' signs or switches. Side note: If you have large luggage and need an elevator, you have to walk south just a little along Atagokamisugi-dori, and soon you'll see an elevator to the underground station. When you get into this elevator, get to the lowest level, and when walking to Sendai station via the underground passage, there is another elevator in an oddly-angled corner. CCZWONGHad another great stay at Sotetsu Fresa Inn Sendai. The location remains one of its strongest points—very close to Sendai Station, making it extremely convenient for getting around the city and connecting to transport. The room was clean, quiet, and well-maintained, with a comfortable bed and efficient use of space. Everything was in good working condition and thoughtfully arranged for a smooth stay. Staff were polite, professional, and quick during check-in and check-out, ensuring a hassle-free experience. The overall environment of the hotel is consistent and reliable, which makes it a great choice for repeat stays. Overall, a solid and dependable hotel in Sendai with excellent convenience and value. Highly recommended for both business and short leisure trips!

GGuest UserJust a few minutes' walk from Hirose-dori subway station, the hotel's location is extremely convenient, surrounded by numerous dining options. Having a convenience store on the ground floor is also a reassuring plus. We stayed in a moderate non-smoking room for two. While the queen-sized bed was comfortable, it felt a bit cramped for two, though it would likely feel quite spacious for a solo traveler. The mattress firmness was just right, and the air purifier was a welcome amenity. The bath area was nicely separated from the toilet, preventing any concerns about water splashing out, and the rain shower was a pleasant feature. The front desk staff were friendly and left a positive impression. One minor point is that the air conditioning throughout the hotel, including the lobby and hallways, felt a bit too strong. The complimentary coffee service in the lobby was a nice touch, but it was a shame that it couldn't be taken back to the room. Overall, it's a clean hotel with excellent service, and we left feeling very satisfied.

MM315587****The location is great, right in a shopping street, about a 15-minute walk from the station. There are plenty of shops nearby, making it very convenient for dining and other needs. The hotel uses a self-service check-in and check-out system at the front desk, and the overall experience was excellent. The room I booked this time was over 30 square meters, which is quite spacious for a Japanese hotel and offers great value for money. The facilities are also relatively new. I'm very satisfied with my stay.

GGuest UserThis hotel in Sendai is extremely friendly to international travelers. One of the staff members can speak Chinese, which was incredibly helpful for us. She assisted us with many things during our stay and helped arrange luggage storage before check-in, making everything very smooth and convenient. The room is also slightly larger compared to many hotels in Japan, which made the stay more comfortable. The location is excellent as well — it is very close to Sendai Station, and there are supermarkets and many shops nearby, making it very convenient. Overall, it was a wonderful stay and there is really nothing to complain about. I would definitely recommend this hotel to other travelers visiting Sendai.

GGuest UserI absolutely loved this chain hotel. It's conveniently located very close to the station, though I'd recommend using navigation for the most straightforward route. Upon exiting the station, the easiest way is to head up to the second floor, walk a short distance, cross the street, and then take the stairs down. The room was a good size, and the layout was very practical.

GGuest UserSendai has become my second favorite city in Japan. It offers the perfect blend of chill and urban vibes — not as crowded as Tokyo, Osaka, or Sapporo, yet equally lively and enjoyable. This capsule hotel is located right along the main business street, making it very convenient for dining and shopping. There’s even an Ichiran Ramen just next door, and a famous Taiyaki shop only a 2–3 minute walk away. Sendai Station is about a 10-minute walk from the property. However, one downside is the confusing luggage policy. The hotel rules state that large luggage cannot be brought into the sleeping area, so I rented a chain lock (JPY 100) to secure my suitcase in the hallway. Despite this, many guests still brought their bags inside, so the rule seemed inconsistently enforced. For guests like me who followed the policy, it was a bit inconvenient since my capsule was quite far from the hallway and it was troublesome to retrieve my belongings each time.

GGuest UserLocation a little away from the centre, no that easy to get to but in a quiet residential area. Very friendly staff with good service. Also allowed to leave baggage after check in. The lady who helped with that also had perfect English. Unfortunately I ended up at a time where the prices were extortionate due to some event happening but this was the most affordably priced option without sacrificing too much, also one of the very few with rooms available at that time too. Happy with this and would recommend if you don't mind a bit of distance to the centre.
