Hotels near Yakushi-in Temple, Okayama City

After a busy day of traveling by plane and Shinkansen, I was able to relax and refresh in this private room. It was a same-day reservation, since I needed a place to stay briefly for the night, so the self-check in was incredibly convenient and stress-free. All of the amenities were clean and easy to use. The neighborhood is quiet and a convenient distance from the station, which made it simple to check out and continue on my travels. For solo travelers or two people who want a place that feels like hom, I would highly recommend this place!

The location was excellent and incredibly convenient. The staff was very friendly and made us feel truly welcome. The rooms were spotlessly clean and comfortable. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend this place!

I stayed in a non-smoking single room. The room was clean and perfect. The front desk staff were also polite and left a good impression. The elevator was also close by. It's a little far from the station. It's not too far to walk, but because it was hot and I had luggage, I took the bus from in front of the station. It's just a short walk from the bus stop. The bus arrives quickly. It's right next to the Sanyo Shimbun building, so it's easy to find, and it's just one corner from the main road, so you don't have to worry about traffic noise. I think the location is good.

Place is super sick. They had a cool little map in the beginning of the place that shows all the guest that have visited home. We were the first Canadians there and cant say at all that we were disappointed. For a quick little stop to Okayama it was amazing. Just a small thing but finding the address was kinda difficult as you will receive an email from BETTEI giving coordinates that dont really go to the home. However what is shown on trip.com as thr address seems to be correct. Overall, wonderful short stay in a modern japanese homw

The place is an old but well maintained house, the staff is really nice and friendly. This hostel is located in a good centric area, you can rent a bike with them and go to the Okayama Castle and garden, is very convenient.

There are hardly any restaurants near the hotel! You have to walk about 5 minutes to even get to a convenience store, and it's about 1 kilometer to the main street. Unless you take the main road, it's a traffic light nightmare! The station is far away! I couldn't get around much due to the typhoon, but if you use an Uber coupon, it comes out to 500-700 yen from the station. It's nice that breakfast is included, but there isn't much food. The main street was unexpectedly crowded, so I wouldn't recommend it.

The hotel located perfectly. Not so far from the Okayama Station. And there are a lot of restaurants and shops near by. You also can reach Okayama castle by walk (about 20-25 minutes) The room is very clean. The bed are great. We rested really well after long walks. There is only one flaw: it's impossible to open the window. But it's not a big deal. The reception staff are also perfect. Although they may not know English well, they're still absolutely ready to help with any question, including sending the baggage to our next hotel. The breakfast was also good. We'd definitely stay here one more time.

This was my first time in Okayama, and I chose this hotel. They offer free breakfast and dinner. The breakfast is a buffet with both Western and Japanese options, so you can choose what you like. For dinner, there are two choices: a rotating daily set meal or a fixed curry rice dish. The public bath is a bit small, but it's fine for about four or five people. The hotel is about an eight-minute walk from Okayama Station. There's a Don Quijote along the way, and plenty of restaurants and izakayas nearby, so there are lots of dining options. Convenience stores are also very close. The room I stayed in this time was quite spacious, even with my luggage open, there was still plenty of room. I would definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit to Okayama. The only thing to be aware of is that there are about five or six steps right after you enter, which can be a bit challenging if you have heavy luggage. Otherwise, everything else was excellent.

Perfect location, main station close by, convenience store just a couple minutes away. The room was also not too bad, though it wasn't entirely clean. Some dust haven't been cleaned, in mostly unnoticable places though, like really high up or behind the TV. And even though we haven't met any staff members it wasn't that hard to check in or check out. Though there was difficulty of getting inside the building, as we didn't receive the door code through email. Good thing there were some helpful residents of the hotel who helped us to get inside. Either way final score would be 8.5/10

The location is nice. Although, I got a smaller room than I saw in the pictures, I couldn’t stand up straight because the roof was so low. Also, there was a short went to another room and I had to craft a curtain because the light from the other room shined straight on my face and you can’t sleep the other way around because there’s not enough room. Furthermore, even though I left my keys for the cleaners, they just left the clean towels and sheets outside my room and told me to do it and the key was left in my door. But the showers and toilets was nice and you have privacy which is nice.
