The hotel's location and environment are excellent, especially the rooftop infinity pool with its breathtaking views of the Mekong River. However, the strong smell of renovation in the rooms, especially those not facing the sun, was quite off-putting. As the second highest-rated luxury hotel in Vientiane, I'd hope they'd provide an air purifier in every room in the future. Placing them in public areas on each floor seems pointless. The air purifier on the fifth floor had a broken motor, creating an extremely loud noise, and it was never replaced. Additionally, the hotel's smart control system was very uncomfortable to use. The panel lacks proximity sensors, making it invisible at night. Voice control is also far away, and the system often glitches; pressing the panel at night would even turn on the TV. The air conditioning in the room worked very well, but the lobby air conditioning was poor. Also, the exquisite teapot only holds one bottle of water, and it overflows when boiled.

DoubleTree by Hilton Vientiane 🇱🇦 | A Stay I’d Happily Come Back To I recently stayed at DoubleTree by Hilton Vientiane, one of the newer Hilton properties in Laos, and overall, I had a really great experience. 📍 Location The hotel is conveniently located and getting there from the Morning Market area was easy — I simply took a tuk-tuk. It’s also not far from the Mekong River, and some rooms even offer views towards the river. In case you book direct by Hilton website. 🏨 Check-in & Diamond Experience As a Hilton Honors Diamond member, I was able to check in at the Executive Lounge, which made the arrival experience even more comfortable. I originally booked an entry-level room and was very happy to receive an upgrade to a suite during this stay. The suite was spacious, comfortable, and very well appointed. It was definitely a nice surprise and made the stay even more enjoyable. 💛 Service What impressed me most was the service. The staff across the hotel were attentive, professional, and genuinely welcoming. A special thank you to Ling at the Front Desk, who took great care of me, and Chit at the breakfast restaurant, whose attentive service made the morning even better. Both of them really stood out during my stay. 🍳 Breakfast Breakfast was another highlight. The selection was extensive, with plenty of choices, but I especially enjoyed the local Lao dishes. There were Lao-style sausages and fried fish served with jeow dipping sauce and fresh vegetables — simple, local, and absolutely delicious. I always appreciate hotels that include local flavors at breakfast rather than offering only standard international dishes. 🛏️ Overall The room was excellent, the location was convenient, breakfast was impressive, and most importantly, the service throughout the hotel was consistently warm and attentive. It was one of those stays where everything simply came together nicely. Would I stay here again? Absolutely. The front desk staff greeted us with a smile, which was a definite plus. However, the room was very small, and the bathroom was shared. There was no air conditioning, only a fan, so it was too hot to sleep comfortably. They did offer free breakfast with toast/porridge and coffee.

The accommodation is located in the tourist area. The location is super convenient, and the staff are incredibly kind. The building is quite new, and I love that the room, toilet, shower, and sink are all separated. It would be perfect if it weren't for the slight herbal medicine smell and the meager breakfast.

Clean and good quality hotel. On the downside, the air conditioning let a large puddle of water inside when it started to rain outside. At breakfast, where we arrived half an hour before it was due to end, the hot food had run out. The picture shows all the protein I could find in the thermal bath. There wasn't even an omelet or eggs available in the open kitchen.

acceptable for the price. clean, friendly staff, close to everything. the room (double room) was very tiny, ac working but not great. we put it on 18 but it was still quite warm in the room. mattress was far away from soft but also not hard like a brick. they offer free drinking water dispenser but moat of the time it was empty or not working.

A cheap stay, good for our one night only. Room had no natural light and the lights flickered. Bathrooms were fine and mostly tidy, shared with everyone else. No shampoo or body wash in shower and no towel provided. Breakfast was fine, bread and some potatoes with egg. Super central to the night market and close enough to the Mekong. Good stay for the one night only.

Great service, very clean, nice room! It was a great hotel to stay at for an early flight. It's tucked away off the main road, but the security guards in the area are more than happy to help you find it.

My stay at Vientiane Tiangai Hotel truly exceeded expectations; the experience was fantastic! The hotel has its own swimming pool, the water is clean, and after a good swim, relaxing on the nearby lounge chairs was incredibly comfortable. The view from the room window was absolutely stunning – expansive cityscapes during the day and beautiful night views in the evening, making every photo look great. The location couldn't be better; transportation is super convenient. Taxis and public transport make getting anywhere very easy, no hassle at all for sightseeing. The biggest surprise was how close it is to the night market; just a few minutes' walk. It was super convenient to grab some snacks after dinner. The room was spotlessly clean, the bed was soft and comfortable, and the environment was quiet and peaceful. The front desk staff were very friendly and check-in was quick. Being able to enjoy the pool and views, while also having such convenient access to shopping and attractions, makes it perfect for both tourists and short stays. It offers great value for money, and I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in the area. Highly recommend!
