"The location is definitely one of the best features of this stay as it is very accessible to restaurants, convenience stores and all transportation options around the city. The staff are also very helpful when asked regarding directions. You also have the option to avail of the lunch or dinner buffet at their partner restaurant in the ground floor.
PS. The attached photos are some of the nearby spots to visit as I did not take a photo at the hotel.
Thank you!"
"Our stay at the hotel was excellent. We were looking for an affordable location with a conducive atmosphere for studying, and it delivered. While it's located on a street that experiences heavy afternoon traffic, this ironically worked in our favor, since the limited vehicle access made the area surprisingly quiet. The receptionist and staff were warm, accommodating, and handled all our inquiries efficiently. As for the room, I actually appreciated the analog aircon, since the steady noise helped me focus. There were a few areas for improvement, however. The toiletries were limited to a bar of soap (shampoo and toothpaste would've been a nice addition), and the analog TV had a weak signal and took up space. One major plus was the reception area, which offered ample lighting and table spaces for studying. The elevator was convenient, though note that it's turned off late at night. Overall, a highly recommended stay for students or budget travelers looking for focus and quiet."
"Room is okay and all goods. Our stay is comfortable.
Need to address the following
1. Aircon filter - need to clean
2. Bidet hose - leaking
Overall is okay"
"Room is cleaned every day. Toiletries and bottled water replenished daily. Bfast is satisfactory. Rooftop resto is a plus. Staff - very friendly and helpful.
There is no microwave to heat food.
You can’t bring pomelo to your room due to sanitary policies.
Lobby is under renovation but it’s ok."
"The hotel is located in the heart of the city. The room was clean, spacious, and had large cabinets. The building also has an elevator, which is very convenient. The only thing that may need improvement is the twin bed we used it might need to be replaced because it seems cracked in the middle and makes noise when you lie down. The bathroom window could also use a curtain for better privacy. Overall, it was a good stay. Highly recommended for all travelers."
"It is both a hotel and a restaurant🍴 The location is very good, close to a main traffic road, and it is very convenient to go anywhere by car. The hotel has a very beautiful small courtyard with an antique interior. There are several breakfast sets to choose from. It is very nice to sit at the dining table in the courtyard in the morning and enjoy breakfast😊 It is clean and the service staff is also very good. Because my flight was leaving at night, I applied for late check-out and added 500 pesos.
When traveling to Davao, I highly recommend the Big House Hotel🏨"
"This hotel may not be a luxury five-star property, but for its category, it’s definitely one of the better places to stay. The rooms were clean, well maintained, and all the appliances were working properly, which made the stay comfortable and hassle-free. The location is also very convenient since it’s just walking distance to Pryce Tower and nearby establishments.
One thing to note is that the hotel doesn’t have an elevator, so if your room is on the upper floors, expect a bit of exercise. They also don’t serve full meals, but they do provide free coffee and bread at the lobby. Luckily, there are plenty of restaurants and food spots nearby, so finding something to eat is very easy."
"At first check-in we had an issue with our room. The room looked very old and dated the air-conditioning wasn’t working and the Wi-Fi was non-existent. I raised a complaint to 8 am the next morning. It took two 8 pm to follow the same day for them to rectify this and move as to another room. This room was outstanding. The air-conditioning was working. It was modern better looking not as tight as the other room, there was room either side of the bed to get in as the other room you could only get in one side of the bed as the bed was against the wall so this new room was a lot better. The only issue with the Hotel was the Wi-Fi was extremely rubbish non-existent would be the better word but this was the only issue that we had in our day. Everything else was perfect from the cleanliness to the staff and the buffet breakfast was acceptable just not much choice for the Western pallet but for a Filipino it was okay"

TTerry AustraliaThe hotel is clean and in a great location, making it convenient to get around and access nearby attractions. The staff were friendly, and the room was comfortable. The only downside was the breakfast, which had limited options and could be improved by offering a wider variety of food. Overall, it was a pleasant stay, and I would consider staying here again.
GGuest UserThe place was nice and clean. But we were given a room with pillows with no pillowcase, no service water, and only given 1 pc of soap, given that we are 2 adults. We have to ask for another soap and for the next day's supplies ( We are staying for 3 days and 2 nights). The room service/attendant are very nice and polite. They even let me borrow a flat iron. On our last day of stay, the toilet flush got broken. Good thing it was fixed by the room attendant. The front desk ladies faces are not very welcoming.
YYkhca_TravelsWe arrived a bit late on our first night and were accommodated poorly. After a long day of travel, we encountered several issues with our room arrangements. I had booked two rooms, expecting them to be close to each other, but that was not the case. As a family travelling together, we requested to have our rooms swapped to be nearer, yet we were only allowed to add an extra bed. This was not ideal, especially since my mom couldn't stay alone in a room meant for 6 to 8 people, which I had already paid for.
When I spoke to the front desk, who I believe was the manager on duty at the time, her tone was unpleasing and lacked empathy for us as guests. It was a disappointing negotiation. We also discussed issues with the internet connection, and she seemed unyielding, suggesting that nothing could be done except to pay for a data plan, for which they would provide a modem.
Having stayed at many hotels and being a hotel manager, I can clearly say that our service was inadequate.
JJowahdi SalikWe stayed at Red Planet Davao for 2 nights. Overall, the hotel room was clean, and we appreciated how nice and accommodating the front desk staff were during check-in. The location and cleanliness made our stay comfortable.
However, we had one issue during our first night. I had a sudden gout flare-up when we arrived, and the pain became unbearable to the point that I couldn’t walk. My partner had to go down to buy medicine and dinner for us. Since only one key card was given at check-in (which is also needed to keep the room power and aircon on), he asked the front desk for another key. Unfortunately, they said only the person whose name was under the booking could request it. Even after explaining that I could not walk due to a health issue, they still required my signature first. He had to go back upstairs, get the paper signed, and then return downstairs again. In an urgent situation, this process felt very time-consuming and frustrating.
My suggestion for improvement would be to proactively offer two key cards when two guests are checking in, instead of waiting for guests to request it. Also, in urgent health-related situations, I hope the staff can show more flexibility and understanding.
Despite this experience, the room itself was clean and the staff were polite. With better handling of situations like this, the guest experience would be much better.
GGuest UserFor the 3rd time booking in Dusit Thani to celebrate a bday, We bought foods and small lechon to be consumed inside our room, but this time around they asked us a corkage of p5,000 for lechon, i told them that we will consume the food inside d room not in the restaurant but insisted us to pay the corkage fee. I read their room policy, only DURIAN food is not allowed to carry, other than that we assumed its ok, because it was not our 1st time to bring lechon. Asking for a corkage fee but did not even give a receipt.
GGuest UserThe Location of hotel is ok . The hotel itself could do with Room upgrades. Like bed / sheets , bathroom shower & also shower body wash & shampoo was not provided !
There was no bottle water in the room which was disappointing.
Staff were very friendly & willing to help .
GGuest UserI had a fantastic stay! The hotel's location is excellent, making it super convenient for getting around and exploring. My room was clean and spacious, well-equipped with everything I needed, and the bedding was incredibly soft and comfortable. The soundproofing was also quite good. The staff were all friendly and enthusiastic, providing thoughtful and attentive service, and communication was always smooth. The overall atmosphere was quiet and elegant, and the cleanliness was impeccable. It offers great value for money, and I had a wonderful experience staying here as a foreigner. Highly recommend!
AAnonymous UserThe room was more spacious than I expected, and the location is great for getting around by taxi. The cleanliness was meticulously maintained, and the service was warm and friendly. The mattress had just the right firmness, and the soundproofing was good, so I slept very soundly at night.
GGuest UserIt was a good stay overall. We had to look for somewhere to stay because of the travel time going home and the work. Although the rates are cheap, I just wish there was a direct email/phone number to contact the facility directly. We ended up having to pay extra for checking in an hour earlier because we couldn’t reach out to anyone regarding that matter. We were only checked in for 8 hours in total.
YYkhca_TravelsWe thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the heart of the city. My partner and I experienced excellent service, mainly when an incident arose that required us to visit the hospital. The staff were exceptionally cooperative in providing an incident report, which was incredibly helpful for our insurance reimbursement process.
While the hotel is somewhat older and the amenities could be upgraded, I still felt very comfortable during our stay.
I would recommend this place.
