Thai Thai Sukhothai Resort

9.5/10
Amazing

My friend and I stayed at Thai Thai Sukhothai Resort as part of a road trip from Bangkok to Chiang Rai, and this place completely exceeded expectations. Walking into the room felt like stepping into a living museum of northern Thai heritage, dark teak walls, hand-carved furniture, Thai silk textiles, antique lamps, Persian rugs, and a stunning teal wainscoting with intricate carved details. Every single element has been thoughtfully curated. This is not a generic hotel room, it is a genuine work of art. The beds were incredibly comfortable, the room was spotlessly clean, and the air conditioning worked perfectly. The common areas are equally impressive, with warm lighting, velvet cushions, antique sideboards, and an atmosphere that feels like a beautifully preserved Thai mansion. Location is unbeatable. The Sukhothai Historical Park is visit a few minutes drive away. Don’t miss the in-house room massage. After a full afternoon cycling through the historical park in June heat, we booked the resort’s massage service and had the therapist come directly to our room. Lying on that antique teak bed after a full body massage, surrounded by all that beautiful decor, honestly one of the highlights of the entire road trip. One practical note for future guests: Being surrounded by lush tropical gardens means mosquitoes are part of the experience, especially in the evening. Come prepared with a good repellent and apply before your outdoor evening stroll. A small price to pay for such stunning natural surroundings, but worth knowing ahead of time. If you are driving through northern Thailand and need one night that feels truly special, stop here. Thai Thai Sukhothai Resort is the kind of place you’ll be talking about long after the trip is over. Absolutely outstanding value for money.

Highly recommended place. Easily reach the hotel from main road. 2 seven eleven was jst walking distance. 2 bus company wintour and world bus station are nearby too. They provde free rental for bicycle with no extra charges. I used the bicycle to ride around sukhothai hostorical park for nearly 32 km in one day. Bicycles well maintained. Some wih baby chairs. Breakfast are good. There are breads milk coffee fried rice fried vege/braise pork with eng n tofy, my favourite minced pork porridge, and fruits served are very fresh n sweet including passion fruits, mango, watermelon rambutan papaya. Laundry service 150b for one time charge. After check out we were given souvenir too a woven zip bag as shown. Room bed are cosy.pls dispose food properly in room or else will attract cockroach into your room haha. Sukhothai is a chill n relax yet historical place for those history lovers. The vibe and surrounding is even more calm the Ayutthaya.theh have specialized bicycles lane for bicycle rides along the historical park area. Will definitely recommend this property to my friends who want to come visit sukhothai in budget spending.

The bungalows are cozy and clean, breakfasts are same every day without much choice but the food is not bad. The hotel is away from the road so you’ll experience all the beauty of nature. There’s no food in the hotel, so prepare to travel if you want to eat. If you take a bicycle at the hotel, do not lose the lock as they’ll charge you 10$ for it. I felt as I was being ripped off but I might be mistaken (hate this feeling!) Will not stay here again perhaps because of this particular feeling.

The entrance is truly amazing, wow! You can have an excellent dinner there. Breakfast was good (both Western and Thai). The spacious room had great air conditioning. Nice swimming pool. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staff were lovely. Our room had a temple view. We wanted to travel on to Lampang, and when it became clear that Bolt and Grab weren't very keen on the trip, the reception arranged a great alternative.

The free accommodation was okay. There was a slight wait for staff upon check-in, but the breakfast staff were very helpful and provided good service. The amenities were good, but the hairdryer wasn't working and the air conditioning wasn't very cool. The breakfast selection wasn't very diverse, but the taste was acceptable.

Absolutely exceptional and truly luxurious from start to finish. The atmosphere is calm, peaceful and thoughtfully designed for total relaxation. Very recommended to explore the back of the structure where the fields and ponds are: a cool and magical experience to be being taken to watch fireflies in their ecosystem and lotus blooming in the ponds. Unforgettable. The massage offered in the structure deserves special praise: the therapist was highly skilled and the experience was deeply relaxing, making you leaving completely refreshed. The main pool was nice and elegant, large and it got jacuzzi side pools. Room was spacious, clean and well maintained. Every detail of the stay felt intentional and well cared for. Breakfast had many options and was delicious. This structure is a perfect choice for anyone seeking tranquility, elegance and unforgettable stay in Sukhothai.

A lovely green hotel with a scenic pond, large swimming pool, and lush landscaping full of flowers, trees, and birds. The atmosphere is peaceful and pleasant. However, the rooms and amenities feel somewhat worn and not particularly fresh. The bar and front desk staff were friendly and helpful, but the spa was disappointing — the Thai massage was not good and significantly overpriced. The hotel provides bottled drinking water in the room, but additional refills are charged, which feels unusual at this level. Transportation logistics are also not ideal. Ride-hailing services are very limited in the area, and the hotel offered airport transfer at 1,300 THB, while a pre-booked Grab cost only 260 THB — a very large difference. Overall, the stay was fine but inconsistent. The beautiful setting is a strong point, but some aspects need improvement.

The hotel we stayed in this time was incredibly remote! The Grab taxi twisted and turned into a narrow alley, and I never imagined there was a hotel hidden there. Upon arrival, I had a hard time finding the front desk; it was tucked away in a small, unassuming building. Check-in was even more problematic. After handing my passport to the staff, he didn't even check my online reservation and simply checked us in as an on-site check-in, even asking for payment. Finally, I showed him my Ctrip confirmation in English, and he only then began processing my Ctrip booking. This process was incredibly irregular, and I hope they can improve. The hotel's exterior is a real plus, embodying a rich Sukhothai historical atmosphere. It's relaxing and relaxing, and strolling through it was a delight. However, the room amenities were a complete disappointment. Each bed was fitted with a mosquito net, reflecting the prevalence of mosquitoes, but the nets kept falling apart and had holes in them. Even with the ”protection” of the nets, I woke up the next day covered in insect bites, which severely impacted my sleep quality. Upon arrival, I was too tired to go out, so I ate at the hotel restaurant. I ordered Sukhothai rice noodles, which were surprisingly sweet, but it was a taste of local flavor. Breakfast was also unique: it wasn't a buffet, but rather an à la carte menu. Upon arrival, I was given a small card and ordered the bacon combo, but ended up receiving two meals. One was the standard breakfast, which included fruit, juice, coffee, and toast butter. It wasn't on the menu, so it seemed like a default combination. The other was the bacon combo I ordered, and it was so filling that I almost stuffed myself. This stay was a mixed experience. The exterior and the special meals were pleasant, but the chaotic check-in process and the poor room amenities were disappointing. I hope the hotel can address these shortcomings and improve the overall experience!

We stayed for three consecutive days, rented a car, and explored all the attractions around Sukhothai. Overall, it wasn't crowded, there were many historical sites, and the scenery was beautiful. If you have time, you can explore at your own pace and appreciate it fully. There's a small 24-hour Big C supermarket and a self-service laundry station within 1 kilometer of the hotel, which is quite convenient. Airports are usually perceived as busy, but Sukhothai's airport is very unique—a garden airport. It's worth experiencing if you have the chance.

Toon Guesthouse Sukhothai

Toon was an excellent launching point for exploring the Sukhothai temples, as the guesthouse is located right in front of the main entrance to the historical park. In addition to this, both bike and golf cart rental options are available at adjacent shops. In terms of service, it's pretty good - the owner lives in one of the rooms and is usually on-site, though they do disappear now and then to live their life. Check-in and check-out both rely on trust; when the owner is out they make arrangements so check-in can be done without them. In terms of amenities, the room had a good amount of space and soap, toilet paper, and a desk were included, as well as two bottles of water (but these were not refreshed on subsequent days). The facility also offers a free toast (bread/jam available) and coffee/hot chocolate breakfast in the morning to get some cheap calories in before your day exploring. Rooms don't contain a fridge, but there is one located in the main area of the second floor (though this wasn't mentioned when checking in to my first floor room, I found it myself later). Shower pressure/heat was pretty good, and AC proved sufficient once it got going, despite the apparent age of the unit. The bed was firm, but not hard, and corridor noise was pretty low. Overall, I'd say Toon is EXCELLENT value for visiting Sukhothai's old town, and a much better spot to start from than anything in the new town unless you really think you're going to want to do much of anything in the late evening after a full day of exploring temples!
