Hotels near Wat Maha That, Sukhothai

I loved this hotel.  Owner and staff were friendly and helpful.  Location is fabulous- close to historical park and night market/Main Street, but far enough away that it’s very quiet. Breakfast buffet was excellent, many different dishes that changed each day.  Free coffee, tea, water, fruit available at all times. And free use of bicycles to explore the historical park.  Bed is a bit hard, and it would have been nice to have screens on balcony window so I could sleep with the windows open instead of using A/C, but otherwise this place is excellent.  Would definitely stay again.

Toon was an excellent launching point for exploring the Sukhothai temples, as the guesthouse is located right in front of the main entrance to the historical park. In addition to this, both bike and golf cart rental options are available at adjacent shops. In terms of service, it's pretty good - the owner lives in one of the rooms and is usually on-site, though they do disappear now and then to live their life. Check-in and check-out both rely on trust; when the owner is out they make arrangements so check-in can be done without them. In terms of amenities, the room had a good amount of space and soap, toilet paper, and a desk were included, as well as two bottles of water (but these were not refreshed on subsequent days). The facility also offers a free toast (bread/jam available) and coffee/hot chocolate breakfast in the morning to get some cheap calories in before your day exploring. Rooms don't contain a fridge, but there is one located in the main area of the second floor (though this wasn't mentioned when checking in to my first floor room, I found it myself later). Shower pressure/heat was pretty good, and AC proved sufficient once it got going, despite the apparent age of the unit. The bed was firm, but not hard, and corridor noise was pretty low. Overall, I'd say Toon is EXCELLENT value for visiting Sukhothai's old town, and a much better spot to start from than anything in the new town unless you really think you're going to want to do much of anything in the late evening after a full day of exploring temples!

Maid and cook staff, good service, polite. but there is no security guard at night breakfast is delicious,unlimited filling,you can order everything The pool is clean, shallow to deep, there is a children's pool Calm atmosphere Good morning But no trees provide shady lots of parking spaces,with both roofs and non-roofs.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The room was spacious and came with a lovely balcony, perfect for relaxing after a day of sightseeing. The bed was incredibly soft and comfortable, making it easy to get a great night’s sleep. The hotel’s Thai ancient-style decoration added a unique charm and really complemented the historical atmosphere of the area. Its location was excellent, just a short distance from the Historical Park, making it very convenient for exploring. What stood out the most was the staff. They were exceptionally friendly, thoughtful, and attentive. Knowing how hot the weather was (nearly 40°C outside), they kindly turned on the air conditioning before our arrival, so the room was already cool and refreshing when we checked in. It was a small gesture that made a big difference and showed their attention to detail. Breakfast was also very enjoyable, with a good selection of tasty options to start the day. Overall, we had a very pleasant stay and would happily return.

I think the location of the hotel is very good! Coming from Chiang Mai and getting off the bus, it’s only 300 meters away. It’s not far from 7-11 to eat around, especially the central scenic area. I rode my bike around all the attractions in the morning. The sincere smile of the lady boss made You feel the happiness and kindness of the Thai people. The family room I live in is relatively large, and there is free coffee and water. The facilities in the room are relatively simple and basic enough, but there is no desk and it is not convenient to use a computer for temporary office work. It’s very large, with plenty of tables and chairs. You can work in the courtyard if the weather is right.

Clean and comfortable hotel. Although the air conditioner failed on the first night, the night staff immediately provided an electric fan for use and repaired it immediately the next morning. The room fee for the first night was refunded without saying anything 👍

This hotel is in an area called Tanwan, and there are several good hotels around, this hotel is in the innermost. The room was clean and the facilities were good. There is no breakfast and renting bicycles, these have to be solved outside by yourself. But the service is really good and the price is good. It is recommended for tourists who stay for several days.

The entrance is truly amazing, wow! You can have an excellent dinner there. Breakfast was good (both Western and Thai). The spacious room had great air conditioning. Nice swimming pool. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staff were lovely. Our room had a temple view. We wanted to travel on to Lampang, and when it became clear that Bolt and Grab weren't very keen on the trip, the reception arranged a great alternative.

Pleasant stay at an old style wooden house, with a kind owner who will try to accommodate you. If you’re sensitive with the slightest sound then this is not suitable for you. Simple breakfast is provided every morning to start your day off. The place also provides free bicycle rental to roam around the Old City. Just a stone throw away from 7-eleven (with ATMs) and the daily night market surrounding the lake where you can have picnic dinner by it. If you’re coming using Wintour Bus, it will drop you off less than a 100m from this stay (provided that your end destination is the Old City Sukhothai, as the Sukhothai Bus Terminal is located in the new city) & you can also buy tickets there to go to your next destination. There are also other bus companies’ kiosks / stores along the street that you can check them out.

This was my first trip to Thailand, and I stayed at La Charme in Sukhothai with my friend's family. The hotel's environment and service were excellent, but there's significant room for improvement with the in-room facilities. The bathroom fixtures were severely rusted, and the air conditioning was very noisy. We also tried the hotel's spa and dinner, which were both decent. Overall, it offered pretty good value for money.
