"The hotel is located in the CBD area of downtown Houston. The environment is OK, but it is still far behind the same star-rated hotels in China. There is only one front desk attendant in the hotel, and the breakfast is also very simple, which may be the consumption characteristics of Americans. The surrounding area is very quiet. The strange thing is that there are few people walking or moving on the streets in the CBD area. It is very unpopular and I am not used to it. Occasionally, you can also encounter a few homeless people in the CBD area"
"Both the suites and premium rooms are fantastic! They all come with kitchens, which is super convenient for making simple Chinese meals when you're craving home cooking. My favorite part is the lobby's self-service bar, with complimentary water, coffee, and milk. It's incredibly handy!"
"Overall me stay was great. It was right downtown which was close/ walking distance to a lot of places. They also had several restaurants. I went to the one on the second floor forgot the name but the bartender at night was top tier. I would definitely eat their again."
"We upgraded to have breakfast for $60. The hotel upgrade is to executive and free appetizer. So we got 4 free appetizers for free. Perfect location in downtown Houston. We”ll stay again next time. Their breakfast are really good as well"
"Very close to the exhibition hall, about 10 minutes walk, the room is large, the staff is very nice, because the flight is changed, arrived a few hours in advance, thought that it would not be able to stay, the front desk was very patient to help solve, the restaurant pizza tastes very good, very recommended."
"It's an old hotel, so even though it was remodeled, I was worried when I went in.
I thought it was because the lobby and reception were ordinary.
Oh my goodness, the room was clean and very modern~~~
What was disappointing was the pillow, which I had not seen anywhere else in the world.
It was a pillow with a lot of cotton tangled together, but it wasn't uncomfortable.
It was even quite comfortable. On the other hand, I wonder if it was clean since even the cotton was washed.
I also wanted to haha
And since it's an old hotel, even if it's remodeled, the plumbing can't be changed.
There probably wasn't one.
ㅡ.ㅡ;;;;; I definitely recommend bottled water for brushing your teeth."
"Trip was a last minute get together for a Venue near this location (Springhill). Accommodations were Excellent, Room was very Clean. Staff at Front Desk were very Friendly and Informative. Was Greeted with a Smile as Well as at Check Out. Stay was very Pleasant and would Recommend to others. Would stay again if the opportunity arises."
"It was about 20 minutes walk from the airport bus 500 stop near downtown and about 40 minutes from Daikin Park. The room was large and clean for one person and there was a sofa. There was also a bathtub. Breakfast was included. There was also a pool, hot tub and gym. There is a convenience store with a nearby gas station, and I used it often."
"I had a very pleasant stay in the hotel. The room was clean and comfortable, the bedding was soft and the facilities were complete. The service staff was warm and considerate, and the attitude was friendly. The hotel's food was also excellent and delicious. Highly recommended!"

Amazing
GGuest UserI recently had the pleasure of staying at a youth hostel that truly stood out for its exceptional qualities. Nestled in a residential area, its location was incredibly convenient, offering a tranquil retreat just a bike ride away from the city center—less than 10 minutes to be exact. This made for peaceful nights, ensuring a restful sleep in a safe environment.
The hostel is run by a delightful couple whose hospitality knew no bounds. They were not only eager to assist with any issues that arose but also went above and beyond by providing bicycles. This thoughtful touch significantly enhanced my mobility around Houston, allowing me to reach various destinations swiftly.
What set this hostel apart was the attention to detail and the array of complimentary amenities, including cookies, milk, cereal, coffee, and tea. The cleanliness and smart technology throughout the house contributed to a seamless stay, making it the best hostel experience I've ever had. The bathroom towels folded into swan shapes were a testament to the owners' dedication to detail, adding a touch of elegance and care.
The warmth of the place was akin to being at home, with the owners always ready for a chat, eager to answer questions, and share their stories and experiences. A highlight for me was the world map on the living room wall, where guests could pin their home countries—a fun and interactive way to connect with fellow travelers.
In summary, this hostel was more than just a place to stay; it felt like a home, or perhaps more accurately, a homestay. It's undoubtedly the best hostel I've ever stayed in globally, blending the comfort of a home with the adventurous spirit of a hostel.
刘刘白子_lssGreat Service, Lovely Breakfast — but Room Noise and In-Room Dining Could Improve
I recently stayed at the Thompson Houston and overall had a great experience, especially thanks to the excellent service. Every staff member I interacted with was friendly, helpful, and professional. Their attention to detail really made me feel welcomed, and I was touched when they surprised me with a graduation cake — a thoughtful gesture I truly appreciated.
The hotel breakfast was a highlight. The food was fresh and well-prepared, and once again, the service stood out. Dining in the morning felt like a treat thanks to the welcoming atmosphere.
That said, there were a few downsides that affected my stay. The room was quite noisy, even late into the night. It was hard to relax or fall asleep with the amount of outside noise coming through.
Also, I ordered in-room dining on two occasions. On the first day, everything was great. However, the next day the fries were noticeably soggier, the salad was just a bowl of greens with six tiny avocado cubes, and — most concerning — the aioli on the side looked like it had already been used.
Overall, Thompson Houston left a positive impression on me, mostly due to its exceptional staff and quality breakfast. I hope they can improve the soundproofing and ensure consistency in their in-room dining service.
AAnonymous UserThe hotel service is very good, the environment and location are good, the bedding is comfortable, and the swimming pool is clean. However, the toilet in the room is very large and takes up a lot of space in the room, making the room a bit small.
GGuest UserThe experience was quite pleasant. The members of staff who attended to our needs during our one week training were helpful and responsive to our needs.
Mariam, at the reception, was willing to assist and offer help upon request. The location of the hotel and the facilities were fantastic as well. All round pleasant experience
徐徐浩凯123456The smell of the disinfectant is quite strong, the breakfast is good, the stay is very convenient, the room card is a little bit bad, the front desk staff changes very fast, suitable for students living in Houston.
陳陳Very close to Her***n park, there are 010, 002 metro bus nearby, eating Subway, Burger King, MM, the location is not bad; There is a simple meal in the morning; However, in the room where I stayed, my colleague from the same company said that there would be a strange taste of ”roughly pen”, while the sheets and toilets were quite normal.
