I have stayed at this hotel many times due to its location. The initial good impression was completely lost due to the attitude and behavior of front desk staff GiGi and Nikka in treating guests during my stay this time. I arrived at the hotel at two o'clock and was told that check-in would be at three o'clock. During this period, people kept checking in early. The two front desk staff were laughing loudly and even used words like ”shut up”. After waiting until about three o'clock, I was given a room on the second floor with a window facing the fitness center across the road. Unable to bear it, I contacted a Ctrip specialist to ask for a room change. I finally checked in at 4:30 pm. Thank you Ctrip specialist for your support! As the front desk staff and the face of the hotel, they have neither professional qualities nor respect for the guests. They are very disappointed!

The facilities were good. The check in staff was excellant and very accommodating. Upon my return I discovered a 40.00 charge on my card. When I called to get a explanation of this I was placed on a lengthy hold then asked for my confirmation number which I had to look up as it was not readily available. When I returned to the call it was disconnected. Had to call back hold again then asked for last name not confirmation number. So a bit confused about that. Then told that the charge was 40.00 for parking, surprise surprise. I don't mind the fee, the surprise I do mind as well as the condescending, surly attitude from the person I spoke with. Think I'll choose some where else on my next trip to chicago.

Not bad at all, service soso, the location is not bad, nice near Chinatown, and Star Bucks Coffee next door. We checked out too late, our own mistake, but no mercy, they were not fully booked, yet they charged the full rate. The employee tried his best but the female owner was stiff. For the rest a nice stay.

The free breakfast is not a full buffet but a choice of egg and then usually fried potato and beefburger patty or slices of sausage. the rest was tiny yoghurt and bread for toast, or make your own waffles. there is tea coffee and hot chocolate. There was cereal and porridge but sometimes it is made so thin that its not worth eating.
There is no tea in the room, just coffee. The machine had a disposable tray but they ran out so I used the same one for 9 days for tea and coffee (i got teabags from the breakfast room). Housekeeping never supplied what you asked for first time, or even second. If you want something and ask at 2pm, you will get it if you chase a couple of times afterwards by 9-10pm.
There was also alot of messing about with respect to check out time. I am a member of the loyalty programme which is meant to give you an automatic late checkout. The manager gave it to me but then when I went back to ask about extending it further for a fee, it was clear the other guy behind the counter was on a power trip and the day before started saying I shouldnt have got it and as it was the manager, he wouldnt withdraw it but he could and I should only get an hour and be charged $25/hr after that etc. He was just a mean spiteful man who saw an opportunity to cause worry and distress and he did it. I had luggage to store and it was a late flight so I had to know whether to pack to store it to check out at midday, or 1 or 2 or 3 or 4 (they were messing me about with all times) but this is why I gave a 1 star for service. It is not at all professional but childish and spiteful. I had arranged the extended checkout days before and the day before they were messing me about when I had to pack and had a schedule of things to do? The worst service in any hotel I have ever been in. Hilton is no longer a 5 star experience it seems. 1 star for service.

This hotel provides a great value! The room is very spacious and clean! Breakfast is also included and although it was quite basic, but it serves me well. The surrounding area is pretty quiet so guests can have a good rest in the night! I highly recommend this place!

It's not worth the price of 4000RMB per night. I chose this room because it is close to the venue. Requested a room away from the elevator when booking, but was given a room right next to the elevator. Is that intentional?
The bed was too soft and collapsed, making sleeping very uncomfortable.
No one answered the phone at the front desk even at 3 or 4 in the afternoon. I called five or six times before someone answered. I asked for a toothbrush and slippers, and they agreed. But they were not delivered until I called again the next day.
The buffet breakfast had very few varieties and was not changed at all in four days.
Poor service, very bad hotel experience!

At the lakeside, but you have to go through the overpass on the south side, you can see the night view of the city at night, but the return journey must return to the original road. We want to go around the loop and the result of the navigation is going through the very dark park, which looks inside. Very unsafe. There are some high-rise apartments around, it doesn't feel like a black area, but it's a trouble to go black in the middle of the night.

GGuest UserHotel was beautiful. Beautiful room and view. Shower was definitely made for tall people haha. But the stay was amazing. Staff was so helpful with parking. Definitely will be back.
MMianqiuweibaThe hotel is located in the Loop area, with a relatively high safety factor.
The location is excellent, close to the Chicago River, and it is very convenient for boat trips. It is very convenient to go to various attractions, whether it is the Magnificent Mile or Millennium Park and the Chicago Art Museum, you can walk there.
The hotel service is OK, and they do not actively provide toiletries, but you can ask the front desk to provide them.
I need to remind you: when choosing a room, it is recommended to choose a room without breakfast. The so-called breakfast is just a $20 coupon for you to go to the restaurant on the first floor, but you can't have a satisfactory breakfast for $20, and you need to tip and pay taxes. The key is: the difference between breakfast and no breakfast is almost enough to book a room without breakfast. The explanation given by the hotel is: the price with breakfast allows customers to cancel the reservation at any time a few hours before check-in, which only gives you the right to cancel the reservation. This is the only unpleasant point of the stay. I stayed for 5 nights and spent nearly 6,000 yuan to buy this breakfast. Although the solution provided by Ctrip is a drop in the bucket, it is more important to be in a good mood when you go out, so I just give up. I hope Ctrip can clearly state the terms and conditions in the product details in the future, and I also hope that the comments can help everyone~
GGuest UserLoved my stay overall. There was a champagne offering upon arrival which was wonderful. After a long drive from Michigan, it was well received and completely set the tone for the type of stay we would be experiencing. View from Room 2754 breathtaking. A welcome fruit basket was provided for our 35th anniversary stay.
Ample Trump water provided. Location - Best in the City. Housekeeping was Outstanding. Reception staff were perfection. The view in Room 2754 blew away my expectations and I will stay here again in the future. Job well done Trump Hotel staff!
A few things that would improve the experience are: Provide 2 Barstools for the rooms with a kitchenette island. We had to eat on the low coffee table.
Replace barn door with normal door on bathroom. Privacy factor low due to the crack opening. Provide Non-Stick cooking spray for guests who use the cookware. It was awful cleaning eggs from the skillet. Invest in a few Real Dishcloths for the kitchenette. A normal Keurig coffee maker would be better than just espresso. The location was Best in the City. I highly recommend staying here!
Thank you. Laurie & Kevin St.Pierre

GGuest UserWe booked a room that unfortunately was for the wrong dates through a third party. We were told by the third party that they would refund us but that the hotel had to release our reservation. We called them immediately after realizing the dates were wrong which was within an hour. The reservation was for two days from then. The hotel said they would not cancel it. They charged us almost $600 for a room we did not stay in and called in advance to explain our situation. They also did not allow for us to change the days to the days we were actually looking for. While the hotel is lovely and the staff was pleasant even delivering the bad news I won’t be looking to book with them again.
GGuest UserWe recently stayed at the Holiday Inn O'Hare Area and had a fantastic experience! From check-in to check-out, everything went smoothly. The front desk staff were friendly, professional, and went out of their way to ensure my stay was comfortable. The room was clean, modern, and well-equipped with everything I needed. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and I appreciated the quiet atmosphere—perfect for getting a good night's rest before my flight.
The hotel also has a well-maintained fitness center, which was an added bonus.Overall, the value for money at this Holiday Inn is excellent. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a convenient, clean, and comfortable stay near O'Hare Airport. I will definitely stay here again
ZZhaojuanmeiguijieHTACThe room was great with a king-sized bed. Super convenient location, right above the subway station. Arrived in the morning and the hotel offered luggage storage, which was a nice touch. After check-in, the staff kindly reminded me to use my key card to access the left-side entrance if I returned late, ensuring safety at night.
TTerence CaoBe careful, there is a hidden charge ”A $25 daily urban experience fee will be charged to each room” at this hotel Fairmont Chicago - Millennium Park. The breakfast charge is very tricky if you have prepaid. 1st you have to argue that you have prepaid for the breakfast for each person in the room. 2nd you need to ask and confirm with the front desk how much the credit is for the breakfast you have paid (my case $38 for each person daily, covers taxes and tips). It is not buffet breakfast, you need to pay extra when you check out if you have ordered more than your credit for the breakfast. When I asked that if I missed one breakfast, can I use the extra credit for the next day. The answers were different from different staff members.
A very expensive hotel focusing on big conferences, there are no microwave oven, empty refrigerator (you can request) in the room and swimming pool. Do not lift up the drinks and snacks in the box on the table (there are sensors underneath) unless you don't mind to be charged. The existing refrigerator is full of drinks. I was afraid to touch it, even the concierge didn't know how to open the refrigerator lock. But the coffee and tea are free. There is a person (not housekeeper) comes to the room to check and refill all the drinks and snacks including the free ones.
We booked our room many weeks earlier, after we checked in I realized that the room prices dropped comparing our original prices, maybe not enough conference people attending.
Hope the information is helpful for you.
RRommel919lobby is on the 2nd floor, check in was a breeze, no need to see the passport .. just gave me the key and we were set to go
we stayed for 4 nights, but there was no Cleaning done..
i have to request for an extra towel since we are 4 in a room and they only provided for 2.
we run out of body soap in the next day and had to pick it up in the lobby , and no one came to install it .. so we just put it in the corner.. not on the wall
location was good, easy to get into public transport , if not too sensitive its a walking distance to the magnificent mile..
gym was Ok , laundry service is 3$ each cycle.. and you need to install an app to pay... and you can't load exact amount so if you are going to do a single laundry just use the credit card you pay 3.25 though, but you only pay for what you use.. apple pay or tap to pay not working.. so bring your CC with you,
another thing, if you use the app, it will let you know if the laundry is done.. but some people still don't come down to remove their clothes to need to ask the lobby to take it out and put in the rack provided
breakfast was nothing special., if you wake up late many people already and hard to find a table, and the refill is not too fast..
only a handful of variety for the food.
coffee and tea are available the whole day as long as its not yet depleted..
GGuest UserMy Honest Experience After Reading Negative Reviews
I was initially quite hesitant to check into this hotel after reading a number of detailed and lengthy negative reviews, especially those highlighting hidden fees and cleanliness issues. However, upon arrival with my partner, I was pleasantly surprised.
The hotel was clean and well-decorated, with a modern and cohesive style. Our check-in process was fast and efficient, and the receptionist was friendly and happy to answer all of our questions—especially about the fees mentioned on the hotel’s website.
One of the main issues people seem to bring up is the so-called “hidden” fees. In my experience, these fees are not actually hidden—they’re listed on the hotel’s official website. That said, they could definitely be communicated more clearly. It’s important to read the fine print when booking and during check-in. While the fees may not be obvious at first glance, the hotel is legally allowed to include them since they are technically disclosed.
Our room was spacious and comfortable, with enough space to hang clothes. There were multiple hangers, and the locker-style closets matched the hotel’s sporty decor. The floor and bathroom were clean overall, though I did spot a spider in the corner of the shower—but nothing alarming.
The downstairs common area includes an open kitchen with a communal fridge and even a crockpot, which was a nice surprise. There were also several games available, like ping pong and air hockey, which makes this place family- and couple-friendly.
Guests are allowed to enjoy drinks provided in the kitchen. If you’re sensitive to noise, particularly trains, I recommend requesting a room farther down the hall on the first floor. Our room was in a quiet spot—I barely noticed the train, and when I did, it was more like soft white noise. Still, bringing earplugs might help if you’re a light sleeper.
Overall, I recommend this hotel. It’s in a nice area, the decor is visually appealing, and the stay was enjoyable. Just be aware of a $120 refundable deposit (if no damage is done to the room) and an additional $50 guest fee. Knowing that ahead of time helps avoid surprises.
I’m very grateful for the pleasant stay and would return again.
GGuest UserI was to pay 117 at check in per room. Hotel made me par 285 for something I didn’t have time to use which was tickets to attractions and that fee included a fee for checking out. ..49 a room for coupons snd 65 per room check out fee. Our car was too tall for the 85.00 a night parking but the garage at the corner only charged 58.00 a night. I wouldn’t recommend driving downtown Chicago unless you like being stressed out. I’m asking trip.com to reimburse the difference between the 117 and 185.
