Our stay at Shanlan Xipan was truly unforgettable. From the personalized pick-up service by the butler to the meticulously prepared breakfast, every detail made us feel the genuine warmth of Yunnan. The guesthouse boasts a unique and artfully designed exterior, the afternoon tea was exquisite and delicious, and the rooms were clean and cozy. The subtle, relaxing aroma and the bedding comfort surpassed our expectations. It all highlighted the owner's unwavering dedication to quality. Special appreciation goes to all the staff for their thoughtful and attentive service. We would definitely choose to return if given the opportunity.

The hotel provides attentive service, is spotlessly clean, and boasts incredibly cozy and spacious rooms in a prime location. The hotel's surroundings are a serene, idyllic paradise, offering picturesque views at every turn. The cafe, nestled beside a gently flowing stream, is perfect for enjoying breakfast or afternoon tea while soaking up the scenery and sunshine – absolutely delightful. We traveled with an elderly person with limited mobility and a one-year-old baby. The elderly person stayed in a ground-floor garden room, right outside of which stood a golden osmanthus tree, whose delightful fragrance wafted in, truly refreshing the senses. Our second-floor balcony room offered incredibly stunning views, and it was exceptionally relaxing to lie on the balcony soaking up the sun.

This place is very cozy and clean. It’s perfectly located inside the ancient town, surrounded by plenty of restaurants and shops, yet still quiet and peaceful. Taxis are just a short walk away. The staff were all incredibly helpful and kind—they arranged a late-night airport pick-up, helped us book a wonderful mountain tour, and shared many great recommendations. We enjoyed our stay so much that we extended for a couple of extra nights. Highly recommended!

This B&B was such a pleasant surprise! As soon as you step inside, you're greeted by a courtyard bursting with flowers and greenery, making you feel like you've stumbled into a secret garden. It instantly brightens your mood. The on-site cafe has a wonderful ambiance, and enjoying a coffee there in the afternoon was incredibly relaxing. A special shout-out to our host, Long Fei! He was incredibly warm and attentive throughout our stay, not only helping us with our luggage but also providing detailed recommendations for local attractions and activities. He truly made our experience exceptional! Definitely worth a second visit!

I was very satisfied with the room, which was fully stocked with everything we needed, including good quality tissues (not the cheap kind) and continually replenished mineral water. Afternoon tea was offered right upon check-in, and they even had traditional ethnic costumes available for guests to try on. Our dedicated butler was available throughout our stay, ready to assist with any needs or plan itineraries for activities. Their food recommendations were all excellent; in fact, the places we tried on our own were the ones that often missed the mark. The hotel itself was picturesque, with beautiful views everywhere. It was also very convenient to get a taxi to any destination, and the old town attractions were all within walking distance, perfect for a leisurely stroll.

Originally, we didn't have high expectations for Shanlan, but surprisingly, from the pre-arrival arrangements to our post-check-in experience, everything made us feel incredibly warm and welcomed. The airport pick-up driver was attentive, punctual, and very professional. The B&B's location and overall design were clearly well-thought-out. The quality of both breakfast and afternoon tea was excellent. Even though we only stayed one night, the owner upgraded our room! 👍 The two restaurants recommended by the owner also had fantastic ambiance and delicious food. Highly recommend! 👍✌️

The location is fantastic, very close to the South Gate and all the major attractions. Even though it's right in the ancient city, it offers a peaceful escape from the crowds. The guesthouse ambiance is perfect. Outside, you'll often see young people taking photos at this popular spot. Breakfast was a delightful taste of local Lijiang cuisine. They even help with luggage transfers. And for the price, it's simply unbeatable value.

The hotel setting is absolutely beautiful; you can take stunning photos everywhere. The staff are all incredibly friendly and attentive. They also have two adorable, well-behaved dogs that the children absolutely loved. If I get the chance to visit Lijiang again, I will definitely come back here. Highly recommended!

Our travel experience this time was simply amazing! The owner contacted us three days in advance to arrange check-in and airport pickup. My wife and I came for a short honeymoon before our big family trip to Guizhou. The hotel's facilities and views were truly excellent. It's conveniently located about 5 minutes from Exit D of the ancient town, and the owner thoughtfully arranged for someone to help with our luggage. Overall, our experience at this hotel was fantastic, from the accommodation and breakfast to the afternoon tea. It's a pity our schedule was quite tight; otherwise, we would have loved to stay an extra night.

I initially picked this place for its convenient riverside location and the coffee shop, but to my surprise, the experience far surpassed what I had anticipated. Upon check-in, they thoughtfully provided fresh fruit, which was a lovely touch. From my room's window, I could see the ancient town, and the gentle sound of flowing water from below wasn't noisy at all; it was more like a soothing white noise, incredibly therapeutic. I spent an afternoon at their coffee shop, which offered a great selection of afternoon tea. It was lovely to watch tourists cross the stone bridge outside while I enjoyed some quiet downtime. The bedding was warm and comfortable, and the shower had excellent water pressure. These small details really made a difference. The service was excellent. I'll definitely stay here again on my next visit to Lijiang. It truly offers all the comfort and beautiful scenery you could ask for.

We had a great experience at this hotel. The host, 老易, was very friendly and experienced in helping us with getting comfortable and organising our itinerary. It was very easy to communicate with them via WeChat (added prior to our stay, called through with trip.com first). Would highly recommend!

In the afternoon, you can enjoy coffee by the courtyard stream – a tranquil oasis hidden amidst the bustling city, yet just a five-minute walk to Sifang Street.

I was passing through Lijiang for a business trip and decided to look for a guesthouse with a good vibe. It certainly didn't disappoint! Its location right by the stream is fantastic. I booked a balcony room with a view; the balcony itself boasted a vibrant floral display and offered panoramic views of the ancient town. It was incredibly relaxing to lie there and soak up the sun when I needed a break. Their coffee shop by the stream is lovely, and their unique 'Magpie Bridge Latte' was a definite highlight for me. They also put a lot of thought into breakfast, serving delicious Yunnan free-range chicken rice noodles. The service was excellent, with staff offering luggage assistance and complimentary parking. I've already posted about it on my social media, highly recommending it!
