The room was very clean, there was a faint fragrance when I entered the house, the mattress quilt pillows were very comfortable, the toilet was heated, and there was a large projection. The house is very high, it feels very large, the room is full of glass on one side, and the curtains are opened in the morning to be the lawn, super comfortable. The lawn is planted by the boss himself. There are sky curtains, swings, sits around, etc. on the lawn, and the atmosphere is full. Super friendly to pets, my dog rolls around on the big lawn, let go of myself 😂 The boss was very enthusiastic. He added WeChat in advance and reminded us that it was cold this season. We had to bring thick clothes. The restaurant recommended to us was also affordable. The key taste was too good. We went to eat twice in a row. In the morning, I got up and chatted with the boss while basking in the sun and drinking tea under the wall next to the lawn in the yard. It was really pleasant and I didn't want to leave. In the end, the boss personally took us to the mountain to play and told us not to buy souvenirs in the scenic spot. Bring your friends back next year!

GGuest UserWe hiked the Great Wall of China from Gubeikou to Jinshanling and chose this hotel to rest after the day. The accommodation is ideally located, right next to the entrance gate to the Wall. The host was very welcoming, and the room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. All the beautiful photos you see of his establishment were taken by the host himself! Since we were there during the off-season and most shops were closed, the host offered to cook dinner and breakfast for us. He is a delicious cook. He also offers taxi services and was able to take us to Gubeikou train station the next morning for our return trip to Beijing. We are extremely grateful for this wonderful stay in Jinshanling and would gladly return!

There is no place to put the water cup, and the water can only be boiled in the bathroom, which is not very good. In addition, there is no drinking cup provided. The shower head is not very useful, and the water flow is not very large. The breakfast is average, only millet porridge (no soy milk, milk, coffee), with some small flower rolls, small buns, etc. The homestay has lunch, dinner, etc., and you can order. The taste is OK, but the price is expensive. Example: A bowl of ordinary steamed rice costs 5 yuan, and no bowls and plates are provided. You must buy simple bowls and chopsticks for dining, and a set of single charges costs 2 yuan (a bowl of rice is higher than that of a five-star hotel). At night, the lights outside the courtyard are on for a long time. The curtains on one side of the room are simple and do not block the light. Figure 1 shows the translucent curtain.

GGuest UserWe were scared of large crowds at the wall, and followimg many online recommendation we found the Jinshanling section. This hotel is at the great location a short walk from the mid enterance to the wall section, the Gubeikou train station is also very reachable from the Beijingbei (North) train station. It is also quite affordable to reach the place by Didi (550 yuan from the Beijing airport). The place is clean, and the food really stands out as quite amazing, the prices are also very low, for room and food. Just tell the owner you would want a breakfast and you will be served one first thing in the morning. The ladies are also super nice and very hospitable to the foreign turists.

KKnufbergstravelThe Hotel is located at a busy central road. Lots of shops around and a good popular grocery store. The staff is welcoming and helpful as it can be. 5 stars. The room is small but okay. The bed is comfortable like most chinese beds. The bathroom is super tiny and had some plumbing problems also the grey water from the shower runs across the floor to the sink, bear in bind when you put dowm a towel for your feet. The light in all rooms is very dark and everything in the room was laying under a urine smell caused by the aircon. That's the reason we would not stay here again. The breakfast is great but the room is too small to fit all guests, so it gets super busy. Plus point: you can tale your bicycle to the rooms.
