I have stayed for 3nights, hotel is very clean and convenient, location of hotel is so near from Nanjing road (you can take around 4mins walking from hotel entrance to “Top Toy Nanjing”). And All staff here are very nice i got the good and nice suggestion about room, facilities and places around here. Special thanks to Xiao Hu (Staff person at Floor5 Lobby) She is very kind and supportive, i got good suggestion about nearby restaurants, souvenir shops and all must know-information for hotel. So i would like to recommend this hotel if you come to Shanghai with your wife or family due to the nearby location with Nanjing road (you can find family mart, chagee 24hours) and good service mind staff especially Xiao hu (she made me very impress).

Convenient location, close to Nanjing Street and easy to travel around. The room was clean and comfortable with a cozy bed and strong water pressure. From the hotel, you can even see the Oriental Pearl Tower. There are many restaurants and shopping areas nearby. The staff were friendly and helpful. Highly recommended for both business and leisure stays.

The view is the best thing about this hotel. Location is 10 mins walk to the Bund and Nanjing street. Breakfast spread is ok but not so good. The bed and pillow is quite comfortable but the air condition constantly make weird noises. The stained carpet is unpleasant. Hand shower is broken and was just simply taped instead of replacing a new one

This hotel has a really interesting style which makes a nice change from all the cookie-cutter 5star chain hotels. The location is pretty amazing, next door to the Bund, metro lines 10 and 14 and Yu Garden. Our room had a great view over the river and looking towards the light show on the Pudong side. Breakfast was good. While the western breakfast was extensive perhaps the Chinese selection could have a bigger selection? We were really happy that we picked this hotel and definitely recommend it.

I stayed at this hotel for a total of 9 nights. During my stay at the second room type, I noticed that some of the room facilities were beginning to show signs of wear, which may suggest frequent guest turnover. That said, the intelligent control system, robotic service, effective sound insulation, and Atour’s signature memory pillow were standout features that made our stay comfortable and enjoyable. The hotel is within walking distance of the nearest metro station. However, due to time constraints, we did not have the opportunity to use the metro during our trip. The building’s layout is somewhat unusual, with a wall dividing the space in the room in a way that feels inefficient. It would also be helpful if a small foldable table were provided in the room, allowing guests to place items or enjoy a snack while watching TV. There are two lifts, but one of them appears to be primarily used by office workers accessing the upper floors(hotel sharing same building with offices), which can be slightly inconvenient for hotel guests. One area for improvement is the consistency of customer service at the front desk, which varied throughout our stay.

YYezishushangjinglingBefore our check-in, the hotel called, thoughtfully inquiring if we had children and mentioning they would prepare kid-friendly amenities. Unfortunately, these seem to have been overlooked upon our arrival. The lobby's air conditioning was incredibly powerful; it felt quite chilly stepping in from the summer heat. We received a complimentary room upgrade, which was a nice gesture. However, upon arriving at 3:20 PM, we were informed our room wasn't ready and had to wait until 4 PM. While we waited, they offered us complimentary drinks. We ordered three, but were then informed that only two of them would be on the house. The balcony offered a fantastic view, and the hotel boasted an impressive design aesthetic. The pool staff were very attentive, and the kids absolutely loved the warm soaking pool.

IImpressedAtour X Hotel Shanghai Bund NJ East Road Subway Hotel is strategically located near the famed Shanghai Bund - where one can jog along The Bund in the wee hours of the morning, away from the hustling and bustling of tourists jostling around you. You get to catch crisp air, amidst light shower and the view is just spectacular. The customer service is just superb! My 2 friends struggled opening their bottle of wine and the hotel went out of the way to buy a wine opener for them at no charge. Though our stay for 2 nights were short, we had very pleasant and wonderful experience of the hotel’s customer’s service. The hotel came equipped with washer and dryer but as we put our laundry to wash only at close to 1 am, the night shift staff took the trouble on themselves to load our laundry for wash and drying. They folded our clothes and packed them neatly in the laundry bag and all of this service, without charge. We will definitely return and stay at Atour again if we ever visit China for business or for leisure. It is not just good value for money but they have gone well and beyond the expectations of a good hotel. It is a great hotel with personable hotel employees.

AAnonymous UserThe location is excellent—very central and convenient. I highly recommend booking early, as prices can increase a lot closer to your stay due to the premium location. Cleanliness and location were both excellent. However, I booked a double room and it was on the ground floor, which had a few downsides. The air was quite moist and there was a noticeable smell in the room. Also, there was no mobile signal at all inside the room, which made it hard to make calls or receive texts. Another inconvenience is that if you’re staying on the ground floor, food delivery won’t be sent directly to your room—you’ll have to go to the front desk to collect it. It would’ve been much better if they could send it using a delivery robot or something similar. Overall, a decent stay, but the experience would be much improved if they addressed the ground floor issues.

WwntngSolo travelled to shanghai and stayed here for quite a few nights. Aesthetic of the place is 💯 One of the things i love about this hotel was the 📍location, it was a short walk to the amazing Bund (otw there, you can get your coffee run at starbucks!), metro isn’t far and there are little food places + convenient stores like family mart nearby too! It’s also a walkable to Nanjing Road where Pop Mart and many other shops are! Another thing is the balcony - Requested to get the bigger balcony (which wont be at the highest floor but thats okay). Chilling in the early morning or just having my supper by the balcony is so nice. The construction happening right now nearby didn’t affect me incase anyone was wondering, because i’m usually out and about by then. They also offer ear plugs if it affects you! I did not book the room with the bund view, just balcony. But because the first room had issues with the TV, they transferred me to another room where you can see a small glimpse of the bund if you sit more towards railing. (I don’t know if its an upgrade or still within what i booked, but assume it should be within that i booked). The room is 303 incase anyone wants to know!~ Lastly, for anyone who needs to wash their clothes 🧺, they have a little room with a washer and dryer, free to use! They provide detergent and all too~ Anyways, overall 10/10 would recommend anyone to stay here! And thank you for a lovely stay and the little goodie bag when i checked out. Was contemplating to get this cream, but i guess i don’t have to anymore! :)

GGuest UserA Timeless Treasure at 32 The Bund The Peninsula Shanghai Brass elevator reliefs evoke the Art Deco grandeur of the 1920s, while a silent service wardrobe delivers impeccably pressed bathrobes. This 'Paris of the East,' meticulously crafted from Jinshan stone, distills Shanghai's unique flair into an intrinsic warmth, from the subtle rumble of its Rolls-Royce fleet to the gentle hum of nail dryers. ▪️ **Design**: Antique elevators, faithfully recreated from the Bund's golden era, and carved black lacquer cabinets concealing smart TVs exemplify how bygone elegance and modern technology beautifully coexist, all masterfully orchestrated by Pierre-Yves Rochon. ▪️ **Service**: Bathrooms where lights automatically dim at the touch of a 'SPA' button. Dark green Phantoms glide into the night, embodying the ceremonial elegance of a 'Lao Ke Le' – the quintessential old Shanghai gentleman. ▪️ **Shanghai Soul**: The exquisite balance and meticulous attention to detail, reminiscent of the nuanced artistry in local Shanghai cuisine, awakens amidst the harmonious clink of silver cutlery and the delicate burst of crab roe xiaolongbao. This is a must-visit five-star hotel for aesthetes and romantics alike – prepare to be utterly delighted!

GGuest UserWaldorf Astoria has always held a special place in my heart as one of my favorite luxury hotels. My admiration for it began during my first visit to the Grand Brasserie for Sunday Brunch. The moment I stepped into the hotel, I was utterly captivated and amazed by its unparalleled grandeur, opulent design, and magnificent decor and furnishings. Even as a Shanghainese local, I can't resist a weekend stay here. I always opt for a full river-view room. In the morning, as the curtains gently open, with nothing to obstruct the view, I look down through the floor-to-ceiling windows to see the most vibrant S-bend of the Huangpu River extending into the distance. Looking up, the majestic cluster of skyscrapers in Pudong, including the iconic ”Four-Piece Set” (Lujiazui skyline), proudly stand tall. The landmark buildings of the Bund and prime river views are all laid out before you. At night, colorful sightseeing boats crisscross the river, and the buildings shimmer with vibrant, beautiful neon lights, creating a truly magnificent spectacle. The hotel's service is also exceptional. Coco, Eva, and Katrina, the wonderful staff from the exclusive concierge team, are incredibly warm and attentive. They proactively helped me with my luggage, personally escorted me to my room, and showed genuine care and concern. At the front desk, during check-in and check-out, even when busy with other guests, they would proactively engage with me, help me review my bill first, and minimize my waiting time. They truly go above and beyond to make guests feel completely at home, providing a wonderful and seamless experience.

FFreddieliciousToday is my last day at The Westin Bund Center Shanghai. At first, I loved the hotel, but unfortunately, the experience has slowly deteriorated. Before arrival, I had tried emailing ************************* to make a small request to celebrate an anniversary, but the email failed to deliver with an error saying the recipient’s server didn’t recognize certain characters. I’m not sure why, as the email was in English and sent from my phone. At check-in, I mentioned this to the receptionist (his name started with “C”), who was very polite and spoke to the lady behind him, asking her to reach out to Angela to assist. He then told me to head to my room and assured me I would be contacted. I waited for an hour in the room with no update, so I went out hoping to find a message upon my return, but sadly, there was still nothing. The email issue could have been my fault, and that is fine. But what is unacceptable is being promised a follow-up for such a special occasion and then never receiving it. For a hotel of this standard, I expected better communication and service consistency. Later, my son lost part of his toy, which led me to start searching around the room. While doing so, I discovered dust under every cabinet. Worse, I found what looked like someone else’s cream bottle stuck between the bed and the dresser. This makes me believe that the bottom part of the bed sheet was not changed, as housekeeping would almost certainly have noticed such an item if the bed had been properly stripped and remade. I have stayed in many Marriott properties, and this is the first time I would give only 2–3 stars. :(

AAnonymous UserThis is my first time staying in Nanjing, walking may be too far because I don't know the distance, but walking to Yiyuan Park is very close. There are many small restaurants to choose from, but during the two nights I stayed, it was very difficult to deal with rain every day, which was the most difficult part of this trip, but overall it was not too bad to stay in this hotel, but the price I booked was not worth it to be unable to go anywhere because of the rain.
