The service is great they are very nice and polite , I liked how the room is clean and well equipped , the atmosphere is calm , they also provide bus for people heading to the airport

Location: 20-minute shuttle bus ride from Shanghai Pudong Airport. There are stores and restaurants nearby. Cleanliness and room amenities: My room is clean and the bedsheets smelled fresh and clean. The lobby, dining area and elevator were clean too. Water pressure was high in the shower and toilet. Toiletries were provided. There was a nice view of the village from my hotel window. Quiet surroundings. Service: Provided free airport pick-up and drop-off. The staff communicated through Trip.com chat box for instructions. The name of the hotel (in Chinese and in English)is printed on the bus and the driver carries a placard with the name of the hotel written on it too. A bilingual voice-over gave instructions on the shuttle bus. Upon arrival at the hotel, the staff asked me about the time of my airport drop- off. The staff could speak English. The hotel provided a wide selection for breakfast- Chinese and western food which were constantly replenished. Airy and comfortable atmosphere. Tasteful decorations.

Clearly convenient location for an early flight. The room is a bit small, otherwise everything was good. Also quite convenient to transport heavy luggage from the room to the terminal.

It is a lovely hotel, conveniently located close to the airport and Disneyland and offers shuttles 24/7 to airport and roundtrip to Disney. All the staff is very helpful and friendly, specially Xiao Hu who was always helping and caring. The breakfast is very nice aswell.

I booked this hotel last minute to catch some rest due to a flight delay, as it's right by the airport. I was pleasantly surprised by how decent it was, especially since I was so tired from my business trip. **Cleanliness:** Very clean. **Facilities:** Well-equipped. **Pudong Airport 24-hour shuttle service:** Very convenient. The trip takes about half an hour, as it makes stops at other hotels before heading to the airport. **Service:** What truly stood out was the service. Even though I had an early morning flight, the kind lady at the front desk prepared packed breakfast bags (bread, milk, and biscuits) for a few of us. A huge thank you to her!

Perfect choice for a convenient and comfortable overnight stay before my flight. The hotel is very close to the airport, and the free shuttle runs every 30 minutes to both Terminal 1 and Terminal 2, operating smoothly and right on time — ideal for catching early departures or late arrivals. The rooms are clean, modern, and well-insulated, offering a great view of departing aircraft for anyone who enjoys watching airport traffic. Despite the proximity to the runways, the noise level is minimal thanks to excellent soundproofing. The breakfast buffet was a pleasant surprise, featuring a nice mix of Chinese and Western options — eggs, pastries, noodles, fruit, and fresh coffee — all well presented and constantly replenished. Staff were friendly, check-in was quick, and overall the stay was efficient and enjoyable.

I communicated our pick up needs to hotel at regular intervals and keot them updated about our flight. Advised would be arriving a little early due to flight. Was told to call after landing - no answer. Tried messaging on we chat took a while for response. No clear directions. So arrived at exit after clearing customs and collecting bags. Then told to go back upstairs to gate 3 departures. Waited out there for a long time. Over half an hour. Many other hotels collected people with many others coming and going while we waited. One hotel had 3 vehicles with their name on it pick up patrons in the time we were standing there. I can now see why we were the only ones going to Novotel. Clearly the driver did not leave the hotel after long after we advised we had arrived. When he did turn up in a rundown silver van with no name on it. He drove like a mad man and dangerously. He think he was trying to make up for time. He was rather rude when he dropped us off, not a word from him. Check in experience was no better. Two girls on reception were talking **** about us - yes I had my translator on after explaining our check in details to them. Very poor service and actually unprofessional behaviour. Room service had finished so we weren't able to get anything to eat. Did not feel able nor did I want to speak with front desk again to ask for assistance in ordering some food. Only staff that was friendly or even acknowledged us was the lovely cleaning lady on our floor the following morning. Breakfast was okay. Laundry was a mess from another lady who pulled out all her washing dripping wet and made a huge puddle on the floor. If there had been a towel I would have cleaned up her mess! We wish we had gone straight to the hotel we had originally planned to but opted for the Novotel due to close proximity to airport for our late flight back into Shanghai. We would have been better off going straight to the original hotel over an hour away. I believe we still would have arrived earlier. We have stayed at Novotel Auckland Airport in New Zealand a few times and the service is impeccable. Unfortunately Novotel Shanghai Pudong Chuansha is not a good representation of the Novotel brand. Also considering this an airport hotel with many tourists likely utilizing it - very few things have English translation including the vending machine. The hotel building itself is nice and the only positive. Won't be back - step up your game. I usually do rave reviews and very rarely do negative unless warranted.

What an amazing facility,it exceeded my expectations! I stayed in a lot of 5star hotels in Shanghai but to my surprise their service is way better.I booked last minute due to travel changes and needed to be close to the airport for my morning flight.The rooms are very clean,their service is excellent and they offered me free shuttle service to the airport at 4am! They also gave me breakfast snacks for the road .So thoughtful!! I can’t say it enough how good their service was❤️

I was very satisfied with my stay. The room was spacious, new, and very clean. The breakfast was bountiful and delicious, especially the fried noodles – they were excellent. For the price, the breakfast was a great value. I stayed two nights specifically to visit Disneyland during a layover in Shanghai. My main requirements were airport and Disneyland shuttle services, as I had an early morning flight when leaving Shanghai. This hotel perfectly met those needs, which was incredibly convenient. In the mornings, if I didn't want to get up early for the shuttle, a taxi to Disneyland cost about 40 yuan and took less than half an hour. In the evenings, I took the shuttle bus back. On the day I left for my early morning flight, the front desk provided ** service 20 minutes in advance, and the service was excellent. The hotel is within a 30-minute drive of Pudong Airport. The surrounding commercial area is a bit lacking, with not many dining or shopping options, but food delivery was very fast. It's an excellent choice for a layover, and definitely great value for money at this price point.

We took the kids to Disney and were planning to fly back the next day. We randomly booked a family suite at Light Inn Hotel via Ctrip, and it truly exceeded our expectations! The lobby had popcorn, which was a huge hit with the kids. Breakfast was very generous, and I particularly enjoyed the scallion oil noodles prepared by the auntie. The mattress and pillows were incredibly comfortable too. The decor was simple yet modern and bright, the layout was well-designed, and the smart features were also top-notch.
