The InterContinental Shanghai Jing'an is definitely my first choice when I travel to Shanghai for business. It's just a block away from Shanghai Railway Station, the breakfast is plentiful, the rooms are clean and tidy, and both the Chinese and Japanese restaurants are excellent. I also really like the gym, swimming pool, and steam room. Bella at the front desk is super nice and provides great service. I'll keep choosing this hotel!

Nisha, our butler, provided excellent and responsive service, catering to all our needs. Overall, we had a very pleasant stay. The room environment was generally fine, but there was a musty smell in the hallway, which is a significant drawback that can't really be helped. However, we happened to check in at the same time as a senior citizen tour group, and it felt quite noisy. We hope the breakfast area arrangements can be further improved.

Great location with convenient transportation. This is an older, well-established five-star hotel in the Pudong area that has been very well-maintained. The service is professional and attentive to detail. The surrounding area has a full range of commercial amenities, making it very convenient for meetings and business discussions.

My family came to Shanghai for a trip, and we looked at many hotels. Hotel prices in Shanghai have gone up quite a bit during the summer vacation, but this hotel's price-performance ratio is still quite good. InterContinental quality is always guaranteed. It's located right by the Huangpu River; just go downstairs, turn right, and cross the street, and you're on the riverside promenade. It's about a ten-minute drive to the 'Three Piece Suit' (Lujiazui skyscrapers), the Science and Technology Museum, and the East Pavilion of the Shanghai Museum, which is very convenient. We were upgraded to a river view room on the 30th floor. As soon as we entered, we saw the cleaning staff cleaning the glass curtain wall from the outside – they work so hard in the scorching summer heat. The breakfast was good, with a variety of Chinese and Western dishes, and the gym facilities were comprehensive. Overall, it was great, and we'll definitely come again.

I came to Hongkan for a concert, and staying at this hotel was very convenient. I compared a couple of platforms, and Trip.com had the best price, so I booked it. A 55,000 square meter English garden embraces century-old red-brick villas, with a large lawn, ancient trees, fountains, and old Western-style houses creating a picturesque scene. Just beyond the walls lies the bustling city, yet within the garden, it's a serene and tranquil world of its own. The hotel's overall sense of luxury isn't about superficial glitz; rather, it's a refined and unhurried elegance that has settled over time. The lobby is elegant and grand, and every brick and tile within the historic buildings exudes the charm of old Shanghai. Every snap of a photo captures a beautiful scene. The guest rooms are clean and comfortable, with soft and skin-friendly bedding, and the meticulous service in every detail ensures a good night's sleep. The breakfast truly deserves special mention. It's rich in variety and exquisite, offering a full spread of Chinese and Western pastries, made-to-order noodles, fresh fruits, and desserts. The presentation is refined, and the taste is well above average. Dining with a view of the garden is an absolute treat. This was a stay that offered both historical depth and modern comfort, making it worth revisiting.

Occupying the entire South Island, it's widely recognized as the prime spot for viewing fireworks and drone shows. While many people choose popular spots like the Twin Towers or the Singing White Clouds to watch the night view and performances, the InterContinental offers a quieter and more upscale vantage point. The drone show circles along the lake, and the hotel directly faces the entire lake view, with no obstructions or crowds. Whether from the balcony or the lakeside lawn, you can easily enjoy the complete light trajectory and reflections on the lake, making for a very comfortable viewing experience. This time, I stayed in an executive suite, and the overall experience was very satisfying. The room was spacious and airy, with clearly defined functional areas. The layout was well-designed and stylish, balancing aesthetics with practicality. The overall flow was intuitive, and the living atmosphere was quiet and comfortable, making it suitable for both short breaks and relaxing vacations. The room comfort far exceeded many other hotels in the same area. A major plus was the executive lounge privileges. Afternoon tea is served daily from 2:30 PM for two hours, and an evening light meal is available from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The food was delicate and light, not greasy, and the portions were just right. This was very friendly for me, as I'm on a diet; I could easily get full without needing to order extra meals, which was both convenient and stress-free regarding my diet. It offered great value for a vacation. Regarding family-friendly amenities, the hotel has a small children's playground with gentle and safe facilities, more suitable for preschool children under eight years old to simply let off some steam. The children's splash pool is relatively basic, without slides. It's said that this design decision was made to preserve the unobstructed lake view for fireworks reflections at night, thus simplifying the water facilities. Older children might find it less engaging. The hotel's breakfast area is very large, with an open and airy environment, but objectively speaking, the variety of dishes isn't extensive. While basic categories are complete, clean, and orderly, there aren't many unique options, making the overall experience average without many surprises. Overall, the biggest advantages of the InterContinental Dishui Lake are its **South Island view, excellent night view location, comfortable executive room types, and hassle-free lounge service.** It's highly recommended for those who want to watch fireworks and drone shows, prefer a quiet vacation, or have young children. It's a high-quality hotel well worth choosing for a Dishui Lake getaway.
