The concierge staff was particularly helpful, proactively assisting with luggage, calling taxis, and recommending local restaurants, always with a smile. The room was very spacious, bright, and comfortable. Overall, the experience was great. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I visit. Highly recommended!

Staying at the InterContinental Shanghai Wonderland (Shimao Quarry Hotel) felt like entering a secret world at the Earth's core. Built into the cliff face, the rooms' viewing balconies directly overlook the dramatic cliff waterfall. The underwater-themed rooms, like an undersea world, showcase truly astonishing design ingenuity. The service was meticulous and thoughtful, the facilities modern and complete, and the hygiene impeccable. Their travel photography service was professional and attentive; the photographers captured every wonderful moment, and the resulting pictures were exquisite, creating precious memories for our family trip. Whether you're on a family vacation or a romantic getaway, this place delivers an immersive experience that exceeds all expectations. Absolutely five-star recommended!

Great location with convenient transportation. This is an older, well-established five-star hotel in the Pudong area that has been very well-maintained. The service is professional and attentive to detail. The surrounding area has a full range of commercial amenities, making it very convenient for meetings and business discussions.

This was my second stay here, and based on some reviews, I was expecting it to be a bit dated. To my surprise, the facilities are incredibly well-maintained! The smart home features and smart toilet were particularly thoughtful and convenient. The bedding was super comfortable, especially the four 'cloud' pillows – they deserve a huge shout-out! The gym is also very spacious, perfect for running or lifting weights. While the swimming pool is a bit small, it's still big enough to stretch out in, and I really appreciate how they manage the number of people – excellent service! After a swim, there's a sauna and steam room, which are great for cleaning pores. The breakfast selection is also very rich, and the coffee is perfect for taking on the go. Nearby, you can walk about 12 minutes to the Ole's business district and enjoy some late-night food. A 5-minute walk takes you to the Pudong riverside for a pleasant stroll or bike ride with a nice breeze. Overall, a delightful stay, and I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time.

I came to Hongkan for a concert, and staying at this hotel was very convenient. I compared a couple of platforms, and Trip.com had the best price, so I booked it. The room was probably the most basic in the hotel, but the size was decent. It was cleaned well, and I even received complimentary welcome fruit and a small cake upon check-in. The staff at the entrance were enthusiastic about helping with my luggage, and the front desk ladies were warm and attentive. The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of options suitable for all ages. It's very close to the subway station, and only one or two stops away from both the airport and high-speed rail station.

This hotel, a renovation of old Shanghai villas, boasts a 'old money' style decor and is perfectly situated within the city walk area of Fuxing Road and Sinan Road. There are many unique cafes, restaurants, bookstores, and old residences nearby. The English 'old money' style decoration is quite appealing. The downsides are that it's quite a distance from the subway station, and the surrounding streets are narrow, one-way, two-lane roads, making transportation not very convenient. Inside the hotel, the garden area doesn't separate pedestrians from vehicles; people walk on paths while cars pass by, which feels unsafe. Also, there seem to be several wedding companies nearby. Throughout my three-day stay, there were weddings held on the hotel lawn with loud speakers, which was very noisy and significantly detracted from the experience. Furthermore, on the day I checked into the Executive Tower, I intended to have afternoon tea. When I went downstairs to ask the front desk where the Executive Lounge was, a middle-aged female staff member with a Shanghai accent actually interrogated us, asking if we were guests, which room we were in, and if afternoon tea was included. She even spent a long time checking on the computer before finally telling us the location. This felt very unprofessional and deeply disrespectful. When I ask where the Executive Lounge is, a simple answer is all that's needed; whether or not I'm eligible for afternoon tea is something the Executive Lounge staff can determine. I hope the hotel can improve its training.

First off, the environment is simply amazing. Its prime location at the 'Heart of Dishui Lake' and proximity to the Planetarium make it an excellent choice for a family getaway. This time, we specifically chose the Planetarium themed family room. It was spacious, the starry sky lights created a wonderful ambiance, and they thoughtfully included complimentary tickets to the Planetarium for 2 adults and 1 child. Secondly, the food was delicious. We tried the Cai Feng Lou Chinese restaurant, the Korean restaurant, and the buffet, and all were quite good. The only minor downsides were that the breakfast buffet wasn't particularly outstanding, the wait time for food at the Korean restaurant was incredibly slow, and the prices were a bit high. Thirdly, the facilities were comprehensive. The kids' play area, infinity pool, gym, and astronomy-themed VR experience were all quite rich. Most notably, the hotel's butler service was excellent. Our butler, LEE, was very attentive and thoughtful, arranging memory foam pillows as requested, booking various restaurants and activities in advance, and even adjusting plans promptly based on our feedback 😊. This truly elevated our entire trip!
