GGuest UserThe Peace Hotel truly embodies the unique charm of Shanghai's 'Haipai' culture, feeling elegant and grand. Their breakfast buffet offers a wide variety of exquisitely prepared dishes that taste delicious. The package we purchased on Ctrip included a visit to the Peace Museum and welcome drinks at the Jazz Bar, allowing us to deeply experience the history and culture of this century-old building. It's a shame the rooftop terrace wasn't open, as we missed out on the stunning panoramic views of the Bund.

YYushanfengheThis hotel is incredibly comfortable! Each room has its own unique theme. The bath towels and hand towels smell lovely, and the toiletries are all high-end. Since I arrived in the early hours, the front desk attendant even specially made me a red date tea to soothe my throat. The noodles for breakfast were delicious too! The smart mattress was exceptionally comfortable, and I slept really well. They also provided a sleep-inducing fragrance, which smelled wonderful! The whole room smells amazing! I'll definitely be back.

GGuest UserStay: The room was spacious, bright, and clean. Food: The in-room self-service coffee machine, fruit amenities, late-night wontons (pork and vegetable), small pastries/biscuits, special drinks, and the breakfast buffet were all excellent. Even regulars who frequent this hotel praise it highly! 🥰 Service: Very attentive, they met every request! Additionally, the in-hotel photography service was excellent. There are many scenic spots within the state guesthouse worth visiting. My hopes for the new year were captured in those smiling photos, which is especially meaningful!

AAnonymous UserCompletely exceeded expectations! Two days before my arrival, the hotel staff proactively reached out. The culture and tourism butler, Ethan, was incredibly detailed and thoughtful in his preparations, even going as far as to ask if my stay was for an anniversary or birthday – that really surprised me. Learning that my birthday was approaching, he specially arranged a small, tasteful decoration. It wasn't overly fancy or gimmicky, just simple and cozy. The check-in process was also very comfortable. A kind lady from the library promptly brought warm tea and snacks, and Ethan personally guided me through, soothing any first-time jitters. I had read reviews about having to go up and down stairs and was worried my mother might find it inconvenient, but after experiencing it, I found the room layout to be very sensible. It was far better than the previous hotel, where I could get lost without even climbing stairs. Upon entering, the subtle aroma was pleasant, and the entire space was bright and clean. The pavilion room was converted into an audiovisual room, the minibar was well-stocked, and when I turned on the TV with the White Rabbit comic series, my mom immediately fell in love. Breakfast was à la carte, with perfect portions and fresh, delicious food. The pre-meal croissant was incredibly crispy. Returning to the room, there was another surprise! Besides the small cake on the first day, there was a proper cake on the second – they are truly so enthusiastic! All the staff members were smiling, friendly, diligent, and responded very quickly. Ethan, especially, replied to messages in seconds. I've experienced other culturally themed hotels converted from old buildings in different cities before, but none have impressed us as much as this one. That evening, my mom immediately decided to change our flights and return here for an extra night after our remaining itinerary. If we didn't have other plans, we would have extended our stay directly. Overall, the value for money is incredibly high. We had a wonderful and unforgettable night here, and we will undoubtedly choose this place again on our next visit to Shanghai!

YYPluotuoThe owner of the villa, Moller, was born in China, yearned for sea voyages, and loved horses and horse racing. The architecture reflects these elements. During WWII, the Japanese sent this wealthy Jewish family, who was both a big earner and a big spender, to a concentration camp. The Moller Villa Hotel, renovated and expanded by Hengshan Group, opened in May 2002. Currently, the main building houses suites, the annex building offers 'style rooms,' and the new building has standard rooms. I chose a style room in the annex building, and the front desk staff was very considerate, letting me pick a corner suite that was larger. The annex building is a bit older (flooring and ground surfaces), and the room rate isn't cheap, but the room decor is distinctive, especially the castle-style windows and curtains. An executive lounge card was included. Although the afternoon tea was simple, the butterfly pastries, molten chocolate cookies, and soft-filled sandwich cookies were exquisite and delicious. Breakfast varieties were limited; there was no oat milk or pasta, and the bacon was too hard. However, they did have crystal shrimp dumplings. I later noticed small wontons, which looked good with their soft and chewy skins. Moller Villa is very photogenic and definitely worth a visit for pictures.

JJULIA DUStaying at the Oriental Qiancang, a part of Atour's Blossom House Lujiazui, was truly the most delightful surprise of my Shanghai trip! It's steeped in a timeless charm; every photo you snap turns into a vintage masterpiece, making you feel as if you've stepped back into the glamorous days of old Shanghai. The staff's service was incredibly thoughtful and detail-oriented. They proactively helped with luggage, offered a handwritten welcome card paired with a fresh fruit platter, provided a welcome tea upon check-in, and even delivered warm desserts late at night. They were always responsive and incredibly warm throughout my stay. The rooms beautifully preserve the elegance of an old mansion while being fully equipped with modern comforts like smart toilets and plush bedding. The soundproofing is excellent, and some rooms even offer a distant view of the Lujiazui 'three-piece suite' (iconic skyscrapers) – the blend of old and new is simply wonderful. Plus, the minibar drinks are complimentary. The yellow croaker noodles for breakfast were absolutely divine, with a rich broth and boneless fish; the Taizhou-style dishes were also incredibly impressive. The hotel also offers free experiential activities like seal carving and handmade candle making, and the underground vault bar and courtyard tea room have an amazing ambiance. It truly offers a peaceful, private retreat amidst the bustling city. It's just a short walk to the subway station, making it super convenient to get to The Bund and Lujiazui. I can't stop thinking about this place; I'll definitely choose it again on my next visit to Shanghai!

MM517323****This was such a beautiful serviced apartment, lovingly restored to Shanghai heydays of art deco. You can tell that a lot of care was put into the selection of fittings and furnishing. The service was prompt and unintrusive. We were a family of 4 and we occupied the 2 bedroom apartment which was very spacious and well appointed. The location is unbeatable both for leisure and business stay. A special place

LLiuxiaoxiangThe room is very clean and tidy, and the location is good. It is in the ancient town and is a riverside room. There is a small balcony where you can enjoy the scenery. The boss is also very welcoming. I will stay here again next time.

CcessiegurlwunderThis is a beautiful boutique hotel that has the art deco charm on the interior and lovely balcony design on the exterior. The room size is huge. Even though mine was on level 3 and the view was an indoor view, it was still nice to have natural light stream in during day time. Bath tub is massive but on the high side for short people to climb in and out, also feels not appropriate for elderly who may not be so mobile to get in and out of the bath tub. Room is kept clean by a friendly service staff on level 3. Also concierge service is excellent as I have deliveries that are collected by them, and they helped to bring my suitcase(s) to the room during check in and to the lobby during check out. There is a gym in site which I did not use but looks well equipped. Location is excellent as close to shopping area and yet not noisy. Opposite is the Metro station exit number 14 to easily catch a metro to go around Shanghai. I enjoyed staying here for my 6 nights in Shanghai.

__fengguoliufeng_Service: Very professional. The hotel staff were experienced, polite, and efficient, responding quickly to guest needs. They understood what guests wanted even from just a few words – as we say in Shanghai, 'lao ling ge' (super excellent). Environment: A tranquil oasis amidst the hustle and bustle. The hotel's main entrance faces the southeast gate of the Shanghai Conservatory of Music, making it the absolute best choice for anyone visiting the Conservatory or attending a performance. IAPM is about 400 meters away, offering shopping, gourmet food, and a City Supermarket, all easily accessible by subway. The hotel's courtyard isn't large, but it has a tennis court and a small garden, creating a charming, old-Shanghai ambiance. Cleanliness: Standard. The hotel isn't new, but it's clean and bright, making for a comfortable stay. Facilities: No bedside outlets, which was quite inconvenient. You also need a second room card to activate the power when you enter, which is a bit of a hassle. The direct Wi-Fi connection was a plus. The hairdryer was old and not very effective. However, the complimentary bottled water in the room was plentiful and good. Other amenities like the air conditioning and water temperature were comfortable, no issues there.
