"It was a pleasant stay and everything was satisfactory. It's very suitable for a family of 4 members. All necessary utensils are available, including a hairdryer and ironing facility. Both the hall and the master bedroom have air-conditioning.
Nevertheless, there are 3 nagging issues for the price of RM140 per night stay. They are
1. There is no daily housekeeping, and we have to clean it ourselves.
2. There is no suitable place to throw rubbish, and we have to bring it down 30 floors to dispose of it.
3. The security guard forgets our parking lot and needs a reminder every day."
"The location is good, close to many attractions. There is a stall selling durian and coconuts about 10-15 minutes away, where you can sit down and eat. The whole house is for our use. The owner does not live there, and there was no one there when we arrived. We had to contact the owner to get the password to get the key. This is recommended to be communicated in advance. The house has many beds, a washing machine, kitchen utensils, etc. However, the house is quite old, and the wall paint is peeling in some places. There are no exhaust fans in several bathrooms, which are relatively humid and moldy. Among the rooms on the second floor, the rooms near the front door have poor sound insulation. The cars passing by downstairs and the conversations of passers-by can be heard clearly. The rooms near the back door are relatively quiet."
Great care is taken to ensure guests experience comfort through top-notch services and amenities. Stay connected with your associates, as complimentary Wi-Fi is available during your entire visit. To facilitate your arrival and departure, you can pre-book airport transfer services prior to checking in. When arriving by car, take advantage of the hotel's convenient on-site parking facilities. To ensure the well-being and convenience of all visitors, smoking is strictly prohibited throughout the entire hotel. Start your day stress-free at Bellevue The Penang Hill Hotel as breakfast is made available for you on the premises. How about kicking off each day of your getaway with a delicious cup of coffee? At the hotel, relish in the invigorating taste of a freshly brewed, excellent coffee.Various excellent meal offerings at hotel ensure that enticing and easily accessible options are constantly available.
"The hotel is located in the core area of the old city. It is a Nyonya-style homestay converted from an old house. The second floor is for accommodation and the first floor is a local restaurant. They all have a strong Nyonya style. The old objects have a sense of time. As a tourist experience, it is very good. The room is large and the ceiling is very high, it feels four meters, and it feels open and comfortable. After booking, the owner will contact you via WeChat to communicate in Chinese. A deposit is required for check-in, which will be returned after check-out."
"The Magazine Vista Hotel in Penang is more cost-effective. When choosing this hotel, I consulted for a long time, such as booking (more reviews, good or bad), Ctrip (only a simple review). Because it only opened in 2018, the hardware is very new, and the hygiene is good. I especially like to have a washing machine, but I have to find a place to dry the clothes indoors. The location of the apartment is very good. On the left is the GAMA supermarket, and on the right is the landmark of Everbright. Fruits and snacks have their own favorites! Call the front desk before arriving at the hotel, because the front desk is not here, so call in advance and the hotel will send staff to wait at the door. When you call, you need to speak English. There is a Chinese-speaking waiter. India borrowed ”Di Li” (transliteration)-Figure 6 this one. If you call him, you will have no difficulty in communication. He will come to collect a tax of MYR 10 per night, introduce room facilities, and even help you set up a taxi app on your phone. The network is poor and it can't be connected for a few days, so it is important to buy a local phone card. On the second floor facing the street, the noise of motorcycles on the street is loud, which will affect the rest. These problems are not big, this hotel is worth recommending."
"Our first time visiting Penang, was greeted warmly by the staffs of The Granite Luxury Hotel. love the space by lobby, didn't feel overwhelmed by crowd n nice area for photo taking. Room is comfortable n clean with adequate toiletries in bathroom. My only issue is the Wi-Fi don't seems to work as well and the rooftop bar look sad n too warm to sit out.
Generally a conveniently located hotel that's walking distance to lots to do and eat"

Great
MM_KSE&O Hotel Penang exceeded our expectations! The hotel's colonial charm and luxurious amenities made our stay truly unforgettable. The staff were attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure our needs were met.
The rooms were spacious and beautifully decorated, with stunning views of the garden or city. We enjoyed relaxing by the pool, indulging in delicious cocktails at the bar, and savoring local and international cuisine at the hotel's restaurants.
The hotel's prime location in George Town made it easy to explore the city's cultural attractions, street art, and culinary delights. We highly recommend E&O Hotel Penang for its exceptional service, luxurious amenities, and unique charm.
GGuest UserMy stay at PARKROYAL Penang Resort was truly exceptional. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel welcome with their warm hospitality and attention to detail. The room was spacious, spotless, and beautifully decorated, with a breathtaking view of sea. I especially loved the pool, breakfast buffet, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Overall, it exceeded my expectations, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for comfort, luxury, and outstanding service. I would definitely return!. TQ Mr. Kana, Noraini, Shah and Shojun for the services.

Generally a conveniently located hotel that's walking distance to lots to do and eat
DDrOBYMy wife and I stayed 4 nights here recently.
Highlights:
- Prime location in the heart of Georgetown—walking distance to shopping malls, eateries, and key attractions.
- Reliable high-speed internet, ideal for both work and leisure.
- Complimentary parking with a convenient license plate recognition system.
- Warm, courteous staff who go the extra mile to assist.
- Breakfast spread was impressive—varied, fresh, and satisfying.
On the negative side:
- Room size is quite small, which may not suit guests seeking spacious accommodation.
- Unusual housekeeping policy: rooms are only cleaned once every two days, which may not meet expectations for daily upkeep.
Overall Verdict:
While the location and amenities are commendable, the limited room space and infrequent cleaning schedule detract from the overall experience. For the price point, it falls short of delivering full value for money.
GGuest UserLooking at the review of hotels in Malaysia, there seem to be tons of people giving negative reviews for almost every hotel so was pretty wary of booking this hotel and all the other ones I stayed at! However, I found that this was a decent hotel albeit with some minor problems.
To start with the good. The hotel is well constructed, by that I mean the rooms and walls are made of good material so that generally sound from other rooms or outside is not an issue. This is my main concern, because you must be able to sleep peacefully or live in your room without being disturbed by neighbours or the outside, that should be the primary goal of any hotel. The room size is also very large, although I found small things like the funny diagonal shaped desk not to be practical because it was too small to use comfortably. Also, you cannot connect your laptop to the TV with and HDMI because the TV is fixed to the wall.
I had some small issues with a blocked basin and the shower hose was broken, but these were resolved after a couple of visits. I needed to persuade maintenance man to change the hose, which I thought was strange as it was obviously broken. He called in housekeeping afterwards to clean up some of the water on the floor that came from the work. The cleaner used one of the body towels to wipe up the water. I said that he should at least use the floor towel and not the ones for the body. He said it was ”Just water”. As someone who is prone to eczema, I have to be careful about detergents and what I put on my skin. If this is something that house cleaning do regularly, this would be a problem for me. (I did start getting some skin issues here, but cannot say for certain it was due to the hotel).
There was also some old stains on the bed sheets that I had to ask to be changed. Bed sheets like that need to be either bleached or thrown away. They may not pose any health risks but no one wants to sleep on visibly stained sheets. Also, the small sofa bench on at the foot of the bed was heavily stained and really needs to be re-furbished.
The breakfast was okay. I remember the dining area which is nice, but not much of the actual food. I just like eggs, toast, fruit and coffee.
The check-in is on the 20th floor, so you will probably only see the managers when you check-in and when you check-out. I had a nice Indian lady check me in. I saw one other man manager, portly Indian man, there when I tried to extend by one night, who I found to be less friendly.
I would stay here again, as the problems were minor. (I also stayed at the Citadines, which I absolutely do not recommend).
SSPSLHelpful staff and good location. Suggest to travel by Grab for places of interest within Georgetown to avoid hassle of parking. Walls a little thin and could faintly hear noises from outside, else everything is good.
AAnonymous UserRoom is ok but the toilet have not lock door that is not so good and also the place is china town but after 4pm all the restaurants are closed so need to go to george town to having dinner. The room is not so small the facilities are quite good and also the rooms.
AAnonymous UserAll good ! For the parking it has poor visibility directional board so just keep yr eyes big 😄
for hotel itself everything it's all in well condition
SSangeetthis hotel is good overall, but when we arrived, they told us that we didn't have a booking with them and they couldn't locate our booking and details. the room was also said to be taken, and they are waiting for a cancellation in order to get our room. There is a lot of confusion among staff. some visitors were told to leave their rooms once they have entered. we waiting 1 hr 30 min to get our room. so check in was at 4.30pm. parking was also very inconvenient, as we had to park at the basement, which was impossible to even get one if you came into the hotel late and a T&G card was also needed to get validated before leaving the hotel if we wanted a free spot. Room was very spacious and clean. the tea and coffee was hard like its never been changed.
WwithlikeFront desk service was friendly and very good.
Hygiene ok
Environment OK
The location is ok, 5-10 minutes walk, there are bars, convenience stores and food markets.
The facilities are average.
I don't recommend the bar in the hotel as it's very expensive. Although there are discounts on accommodation, they are still very expensive.
Overall review. . Good review 4.5 stars worth recommending.
