After seeing a recommendation from a WeChat influencer, I booked this hotel 🏨, and it was absolutely amazing! 👍👍
The price might seem a bit steep at first glance, but it's definitely worth every penny. I'm very satisfied! 😀
The hotel is located halfway up the mountain. Outside the hotel, there are hot springs. If you arrive before 3:00 PM, you can go and enjoy the hot springs ♨️ first.
Check-in was very smooth, with smiling service. The overall design is a traditional Japanese garden style, ancient, elegant, and interesting. The intricate details of the decor are also worth appreciating. 😊
The hotel's 6th floor has exclusive private hot springs for guests, open from 5 AM to midnight – super nice!
The absolute best part was the dinner buffet at the restaurant. There were so many choices, both Japanese and Western. The quality of the beef and sweet shrimp 🦐 was excellent, and there was a wide variety of drinks too – everything you could possibly want. It's the GOAT!
The breakfast buffet was also great; the ramen was the best! ☺️
Luggage storage 🛅 was also very smart and convenient.
This hotel deserves a 5-star rating, and I'll definitely visit again if I have the chance! ✨
The hotel's unique sailboat-like exterior makes it a Yokohama landmark! It's located right by Yokohama Port, next to an amusement park where you can see the Ferris wheel. The ropeway station is also conveniently close. The Cup Noodles Museum is just across the bridge, making it perfect for family trips. The Red Brick Warehouse is within walking distance, and there are large shopping malls and supermarkets nearby. It's a bit of a walk from Sakuragicho Station, about 20 minutes on foot.
We stayed in a Bay View room for two nights this time. The room was spacious with a beautiful view overlooking Yokohama Port. Every morning around 6 AM, we could watch cruise ships docking. The bathroom was also large, and all the toiletries were Byredo. It's a shame there wasn't an extendable magnifying mirror, which made it a bit inconvenient for my husband to shave. Two bottles of mineral water, with cute bottles, were provided daily.
The hotel offers a shuttle bus to Haneda Airport with several departures throughout the day. You can choose a time that suits your flight; no advance booking is needed, just wait at the hotel entrance. You can pay with a Suica card on the bus, and it's 1000 yen per person, which is quite a good deal. It saved us the hassle of lugging our luggage onto the subway.

It is a very Japanese-style hotel with tatami-style rooms. The rooms are very clean. The hot spring water is very smooth and easy to drain, so you can soak at any time. It includes dinner and breakfast, which are very rich, very Japanese, and very distinctive.
Extremely, extremely, extremely satisfied! I regret not booking it for my entire trip. The location is unbeatable, making it convenient to go anywhere.
Since it was Christmas, the room was beautifully decorated. Looking at the pictures, these decorations aren't usually there, so I was incredibly lucky this time. I absolutely love this American style.
Hygiene: The wet and dry separation is fantastic; the bathtub, toilet, and shower are all separate.
Facilities: There's a balcony where you can open the window. I stayed in room 2208, which I believe is an excellent location. I hope to stay in this spot again in the future.
Suggestion: Besides the Christmas theme, it would be great to have decorations for other activities throughout the year, such as cherry blossoms in spring, ocean themes in summer, or autumn leaves.
Our room was incredibly spacious and spotless, a rare find for a hotel in Japan. We stayed for two nights, and the generous layout of the room made our stay exceptionally comfortable. The location is fantastic: there are two convenience stores right downstairs, and Nihon-odori Station (Exit 4) is only about 500 meters away – a straightforward walk, even with luggage. We also enjoyed the cozy coffee shop near the subway entrance. What's more, the hotel is within easy walking distance to the port, and you can even stroll to the Cup Noodle Museum.
Cleanliness: I wish there was a trash can in the bathroom.
Environment: Overall very clean, similar style to Atour and Ji Hotel, and the view is decent.
Service: Quite good, they greet you when you come in and out.
Location is great, in an office building, but it was really hard to find the first time. I couldn't find the entrance from Tokyu below, and had to ask around a lot. However, it was super convenient afterward. There are also a few Chinese restaurants downstairs, and you can hear a lot of people speaking Chinese working in the building. It's more suitable for sleeping than a vacation feel (compared to Tokyu). The sofa in the room is quite comfortable, and the bed's firmness is good too.

We had a great stay at Hotel Indigo Hakone. Our room had a beautiful river view and a private onsen, a real highlight. The restaurant was excellent (though a bit on the expensive side), and the overall facilities were top-notch.
The location is convenient if you plan to explore the area using public transport, since it’s close to Gora Station. However, if you’re into hiking like us, it can feel a little isolated.
One disappointment was the price of coffee at the hotel, which felt unnecessarily high. On a positive note, right across the street there’s an amazing sushi restaurant that we highly recommend.
Not bad. I can see they are trying to make this property more known to international guests from different countries. Two dire problems: the food was extremely salty. With the exception of the Teppan dinner, all of the meals we had here had so much sodium content. Also, their food in general is not of high quality and tastes pretty much the same across all dishes. Please make improvements.
And another thing I would highly recommend is that the manager lady learn English so that next time I visit this property and have to communicate in English and ask for some help, she doesn’t get sassy or mad at me for requesting another staff member who can speak English. I really needed some help with golf reservations and understandably it is not her business that we had to go golfing the next day. However, I didn’t realize it was such a rude thing to ask for another employee who could understand what I was saying when she couldn’t understand my requests specifically because of her lack of English proficiency. For this property to become popular with international guests, it would be a wholesome idea for the chief manager to learn to speak better English anyways.
I guess she knew that she was being rude by hitting the desk because she came up to me and gave me her business card (without my asking and finally in a nice manner) when I merely asked a younger staff member if the angry lady was the manager. She must have known that she was giving me attitudes.
When you are in the hospitality business, please don’t forget that guests are there to enjoy their trip—savoring each moment—not to feel uncomfortable or be bothered by staff’s attitudes.
This hotel is so beautiful, a combination of modern and modern. The breakfast view is as beautiful as a painting. Entering from another door is a historical site. It is a hotel where MacArthur and Chaplin once stayed. It is full of historical sense and very photogenic. I hope to stay a few more days next time.
The location isn't in the city center; you'll need to take a taxi (around 2400 JPY) or the subway to get to Yokohama Station. However, the Yokohama Port area is beautiful, especially the comfortable sea-view side.
Being a new hotel, the facilities are excellent, no complaints there.
The room hygiene was superb, but since most of the cleaning staff are Indian, the room had a distinct smell after cleaning that required opening a window to air out.
The low score for service is mainly due to the breakfast manager on the first floor. He was a typical middle-aged Japanese man. Despite there being 7 or 8 clean, empty tables, he insisted on making a family in front of us and us wait (the family in front was also Chinese). After 5 minutes, he finally seated the family, leaving us still waiting. At this point, the other service staff inside noticed us standing and waiting and seemed confused. They immediately seated us at an empty table, and subsequent guests were seated directly as well. I wanted to confront this man afterward, but I never saw him again until after we finished our meal.

11355213****The room boasts an excellent location, with a 7-Eleven conveniently located just downstairs. Complimentary drinks are provided in the room. I highly recommend requesting a room on the 3rd floor or above, as the views from there are absolutely breathtaking.

AAnonymous UserThis is my first time to experience this kind of pure Japanese-style hotel. Although I only stayed there for one night in a hurry, the experience was very rich and colorful. The service staff was warm and considerate. Although we relied almost entirely on translation machines and body language, it did not affect our communication. The aunt who was responsible for taking care of us would patiently help us change our clothes, remind us to appreciate the cherry blossoms, and ask us where to go. It felt like my own relatives were taking care of the children who came to travel. This is probably the meaning of a family hotel. Dinner and breakfast were very delicious and sufficient! The girls really couldn't finish it! When I learned that someone of us had a birthday, I got a handwritten blessing card, which was very touching! Our friends agreed to stay more time to come here next time!
GGuest UserThe hotel's food is really delicious. We ate dinner, breakfast and lunch in the hotel and were very satisfied. The cost-effectiveness of the food is definitely much better than that in Shanghai!
