5-Star Hotels in Jiangsu, China

We were lured to this hotel through recommendation of influencers that boast this hotel with it's majestic look of that looking like a Chinese traditional castle. Although the location is not quite what we really like as it is about 8-10mins walking from the nearest Metro Station (Nanmen Metro) but the price was quite affordable and enticing that we decided to give it a try. The hotel facade does looks magnificant, grand and big from afar, the interior is huge and traditionally well-kept even though the design looks a bit dated but I find that it stays classy and traditional that way. We were assigned to one of the furthest room all the way to the back at 5069. The walk was quite long since it was all the way at the back. Room is definitely big and allow opening of luggages all at one go. The amenities given was sufficient, except they can improve by giving more shower bath gel and shampoo as the small bottles was not enough. Was also hoping they could have install international plugs for their international guest being an international hotel chain as well. Their staffs were polite and professional. Woudl recommend anyone coming to Suzhou to give this hotel one shot at least! The most important thing is the hotel stay comes with complimentary park access which is connected at the back of the hotel which would cost RMB40 if you were to pay to go in! Worth it!

I stayed in Building No. 8 of Yangzhou Yingbin Hotel, and overall, the experience was quite good. The hotel boasts a garden-style layout, with charming bridges over streams and the delightful sound of birdsong throughout, creating a serene and elegant atmosphere. Its proximity to Slender West Lake is a major plus, as the hotel even has a direct gate leading into the scenic area, making sightseeing incredibly convenient. Building No. 8 is also right next to Quyuan Teahouse, so you can enjoy authentic Yangzhou dim sum without even leaving the hotel – a truly fantastic experience. While the room's amenities might seem a bit standard compared to newer hotels (no smart toilet or screen casting on the TV), they are very complete. Thoughtful details like the tea and coffee bar and turndown service demonstrate the high standard of service. However, due to a last-minute travel plan, the room type in Building No. 8 didn't allow for an extra bed, so I had no choice but to opt for a north-facing family room. Unfortunately, there's a construction site directly opposite the room, and the noisy clatter of iron pipes being unloaded in the early morning, along with the sound of workers arguing, was quite disruptive for light sleepers.

The suite's design perfectly blended Jinling's charm with modern luxury: sleek new Chinese furniture, subtly integrated smart control systems, and a layout with a separate living room and bedroom that felt both open and private. My favorite feature was the circular bathtub by the window, offering panoramic lake views while soaking. Even the welcome fruit platter included a Yuhua tea-themed dessert, showcasing exquisite Jiangnan elegance in every detail. The hotel service was exemplary: the butler proactively confirmed our preferred routes, and during turn-down service, thoughtfully prepared the window-side daybed for enjoying the view. The 27th-floor executive lounge offered stunning vistas, and during Happy Hour, sipping champagne while gazing down at the ancient city created a particularly moving sense of past and present intertwining. The location was impeccable: within walking distance to Xuanwu Gate subway station, making it convenient to reach Fuzimiao or Xinjiekou. Morning jogs along the Ming City Wall and evening strolls on the lakeside boardwalk – staying here truly allowed us to experience the essence of 'Pearl of Jinling'. Special thanks to our butler Luanne for upgrading our room and arranging a late check-out, ensuring a perfect end to our trip. This wasn't just accommodation; it was a cherished Nanjing memory. Highly recommended for travelers seeking both scenic beauty and quality – you'll fall in love with waking up in such a picturesque setting.

Even before I checked in, they thoughtfully contacted me to ask about my needs. My butler, TuTu, even added me on WeChat and proactively registered my license plate. I arrived around 3 PM that day, and since it was winter break, some rooms weren't ready. To avoid delaying me, they gave me a free upgrade to a room in the old Jinling building. Although it's an older building, the room was bright, spacious, and had new facilities. The location is superb, just a few minutes' walk from commercial complexes like Xinjiekou Deji. They even deliver food orders directly to your room. During my stay, Butler TuTu sent multiple reminders and asked for feedback, and even gave me a late checkout free of charge. They made us feel right at home. Next time I'm in Nanjing, I'll definitely choose this established brand again.

This hotel deserves full marks 💯! **Amenities**: The facilities are all there: smart toilet, Dyson hairdryer, electric curtains. My only minor complaint is that the minibar area is a bit small; it was hard to find space for everything when making milk for my child. **Cleanliness**: Although the hotel has been open for a while, it's very well-maintained. Cleaning is prompt and thorough. **Environment**: The hotel is designed like a cruise ship 🚢, and it really feels like you're staying on one. My child loved it! We didn't get to experience the kids' play area, but every time we rode the elevator, the little ones were so excited. **Service**: The service is exceptional. When the delivery robots were busy, staff would personally bring takeout orders upstairs. The concierge even helped us collect a package. The restaurant staff were also incredibly friendly. This place is genuinely perfect for both families and business travelers.

Everything was top tier. From the check-in where I was upgraded to a river view room, the clean, spacious and inviting room to the service and superb breakfast. The view from the restaurant was amazing. This was my pre birthday trip and the Hyatt made it so special. I even got a slice to birthday cake. The lady at the front desk who checked me in spoke really good English and was so kind and caring and she’s also a Gemini 😁🎉 I would 100% recommend and come back here.

Hotel is near with Shopping malls.you can find Restaurant near hotel without going to City center. Interesting Construction Design have of the hotel. We stayed on 9th Floor against to garden view. Hotel location is good. Clean rooms and friendly staff.

My experience at InterContinental Suzhou was excellent from start to finish. The room offered a superb view, bringing the beautiful scenery of Jinji Lake right into the room. The facilities were exquisite and felt luxurious. What's even more commendable is the hotel's service quality, especially Lirs, our butler. Her professionalism was top-notch, and her service was incredibly meticulous. She always knew exactly what we needed and was attentive and warm throughout our stay, making our trip exceptionally comfortable and pleasant. This hotel is definitely a top choice for anyone visiting Suzhou.
