We had a perfect stay at Pan Pacific Suzhou! The suite was incredibly spacious and comfortable, consisting of two connected rooms. One room featured a king-size bed, a large living room, and a luxurious bathroom with a huge bathtub. The second room had two single beds, which was perfect for our two adult children. The layout was very thoughtful, with two separate bathrooms and toilets, plus an additional guest toilet in the living room. With four of us staying together, we never had to wait for the bathroom — a huge convenience! The hotel grounds are absolutely stunning, featuring beautiful gardens, traditional architecture, and a pagoda, making it feel like a scenic attraction in itself. As a special bonus, the hotel provided a complimentary 60-minute Hanfu experience, allowing us to take wonderful photos around the property. Honestly, the hotel is so beautiful that you could easily spend a day exploring the grounds without leaving. Another thoughtful touch was that each room was provided with an entire carton of bottled mineral water, which was greatly appreciated. Overall, an exceptional stay with spacious accommodations, beautiful surroundings, and excellent hospitality. We would definitely stay here again when visiting Suzhou!

I specifically booked the garden waterscape room at Kimpton Bamboo Grove to experience the poetic charm of living by the water in Jiangnan, which completely cured my travel fatigue. The floor-to-ceiling panoramic windows throughout the room directly face the entire garden pond. White walls, bamboo shadows, rockeries, and green plants are all reflected in the water. When there's no wind, the pond is as smooth as a mirror, with the sky and clouds reflected, blending reality and illusion, like a flowing Suzhou ink painting. Stepping onto the scenic small balcony, all I could hear was the gentle gurgling of water and birds chirping in the woods, completely isolating me from the city's hustle and bustle. The privacy was excellent. The room was spacious and elegant, with modern light luxury soft furnishings complementing the Oriental garden aesthetic. The bedding was soft and skin-friendly, the bathroom was well-designed with a wet and dry separation, and smart devices were fully equipped. The cleanliness was meticulous and impeccable. The toiletries had a warm and sophisticated scent. Upon check-in, a sweet welcome fruit platter was provided, and the first round of the mini-bar was complimentary. My butler, Cherry, was responsive and attentive, showing thoughtfulness in every detail. Strolling through the hotel's gardens, winding corridors line the water, surrounded by lush bamboo. Every step offers a picture-perfect scene. On sunny days, sitting on the terrace, drinking tea and admiring the waterscape, a gentle breeze creates ripples across the water. On rainy days, a thin mist drifts over the water, creating a hazy, misty atmosphere. There's no need to rush to crowded gardens; you can privately enjoy the charm of Suzhou's waters in your room. The location is convenient for getting around, close to the city moat and old town alleys. For those who prefer quiet and elegant scenery, the waterscape room is the first choice to experience an immersive Jiangnan waterside life. I will definitely book here again on my next trip to Suzhou. I genuinely recommend it!

This time, they also included a couple's package for Slender West Lake Hot Spring Resort, which came with a 20 yuan voucher I used for ice cream and grilled sausage. The hotel also offered a free freshly squeezed watermelon juice if you posted a review on Xiaohongshu. The scenery within the State Guesthouse is picturesque, and the area around Qu Garden Teahouse is like a small corner of Slender West Lake itself – absolutely beautiful. The hotel also has a hidden gem: you can book a 'Bathing Time' service for the evening through their WeChat official account. There are four options: a rose bath, a skin-brightening sweet orange bath, a relaxing lavender bath, and a parent-child option. You need to book in advance, but if it's fully booked, a quick word with the front desk usually sorts it out. This was for a weekday stay; I'm not sure about weekends. Here are some of the complimentary services I've discovered and unlocked while staying at the hotel: 1. **Swan Lake**: You can ask the front desk for free swan and fish food (unlimited supply) to feed the swans, ducks, and koi. 2. **Shuttle Service**: Free shuttle to the swimming pool, Qu Garden, or any other building. There's also a free mini-train tour of the gardens with commentary. 3. **Spring Water Swimming Pool**: Absolutely no chlorine smell! The 50-meter lap pool has floor-to-ceiling windows offering stunning garden views. It would be a huge miss not to go for a swim if you're staying here. 4. **Bathing Time**

Booked an executive room, got upgraded to a deluxe suite, both the space and the view were satisfying. Had afternoon tea at the executive lounge once; the desserts were pretty good, overlooking Haizhou District from the 41st floor. Also tried the buffet dinner once; it was generally average, nothing particularly outstanding. The room itself didn't feel old, and the facilities were well-maintained. Overall, a positive review. Will consider staying here again next time I visit Lianyungang.

Bringing my kid to Nanjing this time, staying at Jinling Hotel was absolutely the right choice! First, let's talk about transportation. There's a subway station right downstairs, making it super convenient to get to any attraction. With a little one, not having to transfer saves so much hassle and energy. Plus, it's right next to the Xinjiekou Zhongshan South Road mall, so it's just a short walk to grab bubble tea or snacks in the evening. The breakfast deserves a special shout-out; my kid couldn't stop eating! And I was really looking forward to the duck blood and vermicelli soup – it was authentic, with a rich broth and plenty of ingredients. Starting the day with a bowl of that was just perfect. It's also very close to the Nanjing Museum, just three subway stops away, which was great for taking my child to learn about history. The whole trip felt perfectly planned. Overall, our stay was very comfortable, and I'll definitely choose this place again next time I'm in Nanjing!

An absolutely wonderful experience! If you're coming to Suzhou, staying in a garden-style setting is a must. This hotel is a conversion of a 300-year-old house. While the building is old, all the facilities are incredibly modern, including a gym, pool, and even Dyson hair dryers. It's just a bridge away from Pingjiang Road, so you can enjoy the bustling lights on one side while having your own tranquil oasis on the other (the courtyard rooms are behind the wall you see in the video). The hotel breakfast is excellent, a semi-buffet of Chinese and Western small plates, complemented by your choice of a Chinese or Western main course. The breakfast noodles are especially delicious, served with fresh water chestnuts and shrimp. I particularly want to commend the hotel's service; it was truly warm and welcoming. The hotel is a convenient 20-minute walk (or 5-minute bike ride) to Suzhou Museum, Humble Administrator's Garden, and Lion Grove Garden. Ou Garden is a 10-minute walk. Wangshi Garden is a bit further, about a 15-minute bike ride. I'd recommend getting a joint ticket for the first three gardens, which is valid for three days. There are also some fantastic restaurants nearby, and both Pingjiangfu and Jinhaihua are within walking distance. If your budget allows, definitely go for the Songmaoju Suite – it's a private house with its own courtyard, so you won't have to worry about footsteps from above or noise from the shared courtyard. They also have smaller standard rooms to suit various budgets. A small heads-up: one wall of the courtyard rooms faces Pingjiang Road, so it can be a bit noisy during the day, but don't worry, it's very quiet at night. Just a minor suggestion: the super-large bathroom with a bathtub, double sinks, and three separate areas is fantastic, but there's only one hook. I'd suggest adding a few more. Also, the wardrobe could use some pant hangers.

Located in the heart of Yaohu Town, Lakeside Mansion was upgraded to a more comfortable room by the front desk manager. Leo provided warm and attentive service, calling to confirm our arrival time before check-in and picking us up after we arrived in the town. He also patiently explained the things to know about visiting Yaohu Town. The hotel's large viewing terrace offers a clear view of the nighttime Dragon Soaring Water Show and fireworks.

Before check-in, I received a message from Luanne at the hotel, who thoughtfully reminded us of all the details we hadn't even considered and made excellent arrangements. A big wish of mine when returning to Nanjing and staying at the Zifeng InterContinental was to see my alma mater, and this time it was perfectly realized. I saw my alma mater embracing the purple aura of Zijin Mountain, a moment I'll remember for a long time.
