Guangzhou East Railway Station/Wushan Guangzhou|1.16km from downtown
This hotel is super convenient for catching the high-speed train to Shenzhen the next day, as it's right next to Guangzhou East Railway Station. You can walk there in 3-5 minutes from the station exit, and it's right by Metro Lines 1 and 3, making intercity travel to Shenzhen and Hong Kong incredibly easy. Plus, it's next to Oriental Plaza shopping mall, so dining and shopping are all taken care of in one spot. It's definitely a top choice for business travelers.
It's an established five-star hotel with a grand and elegant lobby featuring a waterscape. Check-in was efficient, and the front desk staff were very attentive, handling luggage assistance and storage seamlessly. The room was spacious with good natural light, a soft mattress, and excellent soundproofing thanks to double-glazed windows, ensuring a quiet and peaceful night's sleep even in the bustling city. The bathroom had a separate shower and bathtub.
The hotel amenities are comprehensive, including a Cantonese dim sum buffet restaurant, a gym, and an outdoor pool. The breakfast selection is extensive, and the value for money is among the best for five-star hotels in the East Station area. The only minor drawback is that the hotel is a bit older, and some parts of the decor show their age, but it doesn't affect the overall stay.FromPLN 219

Oakwood Premier is extremely convenient - just one metro station ride on Line 1 from Guangzhou East rail station, and <10 mins walk from Exit A.
The check in, restaurant and housekeeping staff members are courteous and responsive to our needs - extra towels, restaurant bookings etc. It is a welcoming change from other hotel chains in other countries which we experienced lately.
The room is clean and spacious. There is however too many furniture (probably due to accommodating long term guests who need plenty of storage). Less furniture would be ideal with more walking space and effective opening of doors, eg bedroom door, if open, will block access to the wardrobe door.
The breakfast buffet spread is sufficient - Chinese and western dishes. The dining room is huge, bright and spacious with large windows. The F&B knowledge could be improved though eg having available the appropriate condiments with the buffet items (calamari rings, delicious but no dips to go with), fresh waffle with no maple syrup (just 4 different fruit jams and 1 peanut butter options), crispy bacon (but not cripsy in reality), Chinese dim sum (with no chili oil/sauce, vinegar etc) at lukewarm temperature (the steaming switch was deliberately kept at OFF though I switched it to ON several times.)
We will be back though. The value is in the location, clean and spacious room. Not the food.FromPLN 414

I had a very pleasant stay at the Asia International Hotel. I was extremely satisfied with the overall experience. The breakfast was extensive and offered a wide variety of options, all while enjoying a beautiful panoramic view, which made the mornings even more special.
The swimming pool was also a great addition—clean, relaxing, and perfect to unwind after a busy day.
What stood out most was the staff. They were very friendly and helpful, and communication in English was excellent, which made everything easy and comfortable.

I have to give a shout-out to the Westin Guangzhou! I was pleasantly surprised to get a free upgrade to a suite upon arrival, which immediately doubled my experience. The suite was spacious and clean, with great natural light and excellent soundproofing. The bedding was so comfortable, I slept incredibly soundly. The front desk staff were warm, polite, and provided attentive service throughout my stay. Breakfast was fresh and plentiful, and the location made getting around super convenient. Overall, the environment is upscale and grand, and the service is generous and thoughtful. It's perfect for both business and leisure, and the value for money exceeded my expectations. We had a wonderful stay at Fraser Suites Guangzhou and honestly could not have asked for a better experience. We stayed in the one-bedroom apartment, and it was extremely complete and comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed, including utensils and appliances, which made the stay very convenient. Having a washing machine was also a huge plus, and we really appreciated being able to make tea and feel at home during our trip.
The breakfast was excellent every morning. One of our favorite parts was the fresh juice machine where we could squeeze our own juice. The selection was very good, and the chefs and restaurant staff were always attentive, professional, and kind.
The concierge team was absolutely amazing. They helped us many times with directions, locations, transportation, and even our orders. Communication was very easy because their English was excellent, which made our stay even more comfortable.
A special mention to the housekeeping team, who truly made the experience exceptional. On the second day, the housekeeper noticed that I was washing clothes and kindly brought a drying rack to the room so we could hang everything properly. She even arranged the clothes for drying herself. She also left thoughtful notes whenever she was unsure about personal items — for example, one day there was a teapot on the table, and instead of removing it, she left a note saying she did not clean it because she was not sure if we were still using it. These small details showed genuine care and attention.
The location was also extremely convenient. The hotel is directly connected to the mall, which made shopping and moving around very easy. There were trendy bakeries and cafés literally next to the entrance, and we loved trying them during our stay. We could also simply cross the street to reach Taikoo Hui for luxury shopping, and Grandview Mall was only a short walk away. There were plenty of convenience stores nearby and even some halal food options around the area, which made everything very comfortable and accessible for us.
Overall, we absolutely loved our stay and felt very welcomed throughout the entire experience. I would highly recommend Fraser Suites Guangzhou and will definitely stay here again on my next visit to Guangzhou.FromPLN 443

Huge thanks to Miss Fang at the front desk for upgrading us from a standard king room to an executive king room! We got a high floor on the 29th, which was much larger and quieter. Decided to stay at a 5* hotel as it was my birthday. Room was smaller than expected and the check in lady said room was upgraded which didn’t appear to be as room appeared to be basic. As it was my bday i asked the hotel if they had anything complimentary for someone celebrating their bday to which she said fruit platter then added some dim sum..acceptable but would be nice if they arranged without me asking.
Hotel is a bit old and they were renovating so very noisy during day. The breakfast was very good as had good variety of food. Location is also convenient as 2 mins from metro.

I first stayed here five or six years ago on my first visit to Guangzhou and had such a great impression that I booked it again this time.
The hotel's location is excellent, with convenient transportation and easy access to Guangzhou Zoo, making it perfect for both business trips and leisure travel. As soon as you enter the lobby, you're greeted by a warm and elegant atmosphere. The front desk staff, especially MIA Huang, was incredibly warm and attentive. All the hotel staff were friendly and helpful, answering any questions promptly and patiently. Their professional service made my check-in experience even more perfect. I highly recommend it to everyone. Check-in was efficient and quick, and they even thoughtfully provided recommendations for local attractions, which made me feel very welcome. I am extremely satisfied.
The cleanliness in the room was exceptional, with every corner spotless, and the amenities were well-equipped.
Furthermore, the hotel's breakfast offered a rich variety of Chinese and Western options, well-balanced and delicious. Overall, this hotel excels in both its hardware facilities and soft services, offering excellent value for money. I specifically chose to stay at the Garden Hotel in Guangzhou this time and experienced the full package: guest room, executive lounge, CAN guided tour, and breakfast at the Revolving Restaurant. It truly gave me a taste of what the pinnacle of hotel service in Guangzhou is like. The entire stay was comfortable and reassuring, with no unpleasant surprises, and every aspect exceeded my expectations with its generosity and thoughtfulness.
Upon checking in, I had booked a basic room. I paid 20 RMB at the 'Seafood Market' (referring to a loyalty program sign-up) to get a Lingkehui Gold Card. After calling staff beforehand to link my information, I was informed I could get a free upgrade to a Kapok Suite and also receive a welcome fruit platter. It was straightforward and generous, immediately dispelling any concerns I had about formulaic service from an old-established hotel. The upgraded room was spacious, featuring a warm and elegant Lingnan-style wooden design. The bedding was soft and skin-friendly, the bathroom had a separate wet and dry area, and all toiletries were well-stocked. On the first night, I discovered the air conditioner was leaking. After calling service, a staff member arrived within five minutes, promptly fixed the issue, and maintained a polite attitude throughout. Afterwards, the floor supervisor even called to apologize and offered a souvenir. Their immediate response to issues, without shirking responsibility or delaying, and their impressive efficiency were remarkable.
The executive lounge on the 4th floor was a major highlight of this trip. During afternoon tea, pastries were continuously replenished, with a limitless supply of various savory and sweet treats. It was quiet and not crowded, perfect for a break and a chat. In the evening, happy hour offered samosas, cold cuts, creamy pasta, and small portions of hot dishes. Although it got a bit noisy during peak hours, staff were always diligent in clearing tables promptly, showing great efficiency and professionalism. The waitresses could even mix 'Cuba Libre' and 'Gin and Tonic,' and I could ask them to prepare drinks.
The hotel's exclusive CAN guided tour was a unique experience. The guide led us through the gold foil murals in the lobby, the central courtyard waterfall, and the art collection, meticulously explaining the hotel's forty-plus-year history and the clever touches of Lingnan design. From the golden dragons on the ceiling to the red bridge in the courtyard, every detail had a story. The guide was patient and thorough throughout the explanation, actively stopping for guests to take photos and recommending lesser-known spots within the hotel. The tour was unhurried, and any questions were answered in detail, allowing for a deep understanding of this garden hotel hidden in the city center.
The next morning, I went to the Revolving Restaurant on the 30th floor for a buffet breakfast. The 360-degree slowly rotating view offered panoramic cityscapes, with the Canton Tower visible in the distance. The food balanced Cantonese flavors with international cuisine; the freshly steamed shrimp dumplings and Jidi porridge were authentic and delicious, while Western omelets, cold cuts, fresh fruit, and baked goods were all well-stocked. Staff constantly cleared empty plates and proactively refilled drinks, and there was no long wait for window seats, creating a relaxed and pleasant dining atmosphere.
From the front desk and room maintenance to executive lounge service, the CAN tour guide, and restaurant staff, everyone I encountered maintained a consistently gentle and polite demeanor. Two things impressed me the most: first, their zero-delay approach to problem-solving, responding swiftly to requests and resolving issues properly; and second, the genuine and generous room upgrade, given without upselling or conditions, purely offering tangible benefits to guests.
As a platinum five-star hotel with many years of deep roots in Guangzhou, the Garden Hotel doesn't rely on flashy gimmicks. It earns its reputation through tangible details, efficient service, and generous hospitality. Whether for a short getaway or an extended stay in the city, it provides a stable and comfortable experience. This thoughtfulness and meticulousness truly make it a benchmark for hotel service in Guangzhou. I will definitely choose it again on my next visit to Guangzhou.FromPLN 481

This was my second stay, and this time the room type I was given was much better than the last. The room facilities are well-maintained, and the living room TV has even been updated. My only minor complaint is that I was on the 27th floor, which felt a bit low. A big thanks to the front desk lady for her excellent service; she helped me with a late check-out and even provided welcome fruits and drinks. It was a little disappointing that there was no soup available this time, I'm not sure if they've discontinued it. The executive lounge is great for a light meal to cover dinner, and the food quality there is quite good, as is the service from the lounge staff – highly recommend! Just a heads-up for future guests: there are separate elevators for high and low floors, so make sure to take the high-floor elevator to get to the lounge. This hotel really exceeded my expectations, and not in a good way. Before booking, I'd already confirmed a few things with the front desk, and they assured me they'd make a note. But on the day of arrival, I was told I couldn't check in until 4 PM. Seriously? It's the first time I've ever had to wait until after 4 PM to check into a hotel. Then, I booked a suite which was supposed to include executive lounge access, but when I got there, the staff denied any such benefit. I was absolutely furious. This is the only hotel I've ever stayed at that had so many problems. Thankfully, the lobby manager understood my frustration and eventually added the executive benefits. I didn't want to let it ruin my whole day, so overall, my experience was pretty subpar. However, the lobby manager deserves a big thumbs up 👍; his attitude at least didn't disappoint me. The 4.0 rating is purely for him; everything else doesn't deserve that score, and I won't be staying here again.FromPLN 691

An amazing hot spring resort experience with our little one, perfect down to every detail!
We stayed at Bishuiwan Hot Spring Resort with our 1 year and 8-month-old baby, and the overall experience was fantastic! The Paris family room was cozy and our baby absolutely loved it. I especially want to commend the hotel's thoughtfulness – upon check-in, they gave us an Artemisia argyi health hammer, and specially prepared small toys and a children's gift for our baby 🎁. Our little one adored them and couldn't put them down, which was a truly delightful and thoughtful surprise!
The room was clean, there were many hot spring pools with excellent water quality, and the staff were always proactive in helping out when they saw us with a child. The Lixiangyuan restaurant also accommodated us by preparing a low-salt, no-garlic meal for the baby, which was very considerate. Plus, the portions were huge – this was the only restaurant where we ate till we were stuffed 🍴, literally burping.
It was a warm and relaxing family vacation, and I've already told my family we definitely need to come back to Bishuiwan! I hope this level of care and effort gets recognized 💕FromPLN 385

The room is quite big, and the view outside the balcony is also nice. It was raining when we went there, and the mountains outside the balcony were filled with smoke and clouds, a rare beauty in Guangzhou. Because we went there on the weekend, there were many guests. We didn't look carefully when booking the room, and we found out that we were assigned a double bed room after checking in; one of us could sleep well, but the other had difficulty sleeping, so we had to go to the lobby to change rooms. It was the peak check-in time in the lobby, and the staff were very busy. Fortunately, the girl Liang Xiaojia at the front desk received us patiently and changed us to a twin room. After settling in, we went to soak in the hot springs and swim. On a hot and rainy summer day, I prefer the refreshing swimming pool. Our stay in the triple room at the Guangzhou Biquan Air Hot Spring Hotel was absolutely fantastic! 👍 The room was spacious and bright, with elegant and cozy decor. The three beds were soft and comfortable, guaranteeing a great night's sleep. The room was also equipped with complete and practical facilities, all spotlessly clean.
The hotel's hot spring was definitely a highlight, offering a rich variety of pools with perfect water temperatures. Soaking in the hot springs felt like all my fatigue just melted away. The surrounding scenery was beautiful too; it was incredibly relaxing to enjoy the views while soaking.
The hotel's service also deserves high praise. The staff were warm, attentive, and always willing to help. Whether it was checking in or resolving other issues, they were very efficient. I will definitely choose this place again next time!FromPLN 311

The estate's environment is naturally pristine and eco-friendly, far from city noise, accompanied by green mountains and gentle breezes – a super comfortable retreat. The staff were polite and courteous. The room wasn't very big, but for the price, it was pretty good. It was clean and hygienic, though the facilities felt a bit outdated, like they were from many years ago. However, there were no strange odors in the room. Overall, it was decent for the price. The transportation was very convenient, right on Huanshi East Road. There are also plenty of great food and drink options nearby, all within easy walking distance. Zhixin Middle School, Zhongshan Ophthalmic Center, and Sun Yat-sen University Cancer Center are all about a ten-minute walk away. This time, I brought my kids back to China for the summer holiday, and our first stop was the W Hotel Guangzhou! It was indeed fantastic 😎👍 We arrived around 11 PM for check-in, and the front desk staff, Clinton, was exceptionally nice, thoughtfully offering complimentary breakfast and a welcome gift. The hotel's breakfast was outstanding, with a rich and comprehensive selection of both Chinese and Western dishes, completely satisfying us! The kids absolutely loved the rooftop pool. Whether it was the greeters, concierge, front desk, or housekeeping staff, everyone was incredibly friendly! The service was so attentive, giving us a comforting sense of coming home during our return. 👍 Meeting up with a couple of friends in the lobby was great; the overall ambiance was both peaceful and comfortable! The room was meticulously clean, and they even provided turndown service with delicious snacks, which the kids adored! The location is superb, making it incredibly convenient to get around. Getting a taxi was so easy! And parcels were delivered directly to our room! All in all, this experience was absolutely excellent 👌! It's perfect for family and parent-child trips! Our four-day, three-night stay in Guangzhou was very pleasant, making us love the city's hospitality even more~ Next time I return to Guangzhou, this will definitely be my top choice!! I'll also recommend it to other friends! Thank you to every friendly staff member~FromPLN 588

I was incredibly lucky to book a room with a tower view! The panorama was stunning and layered, with the tower at just the right distance, separated by a green space. This really helped avoid that claustrophobic, concrete jungle feeling you often get from the dense high-rises in Guangzhou's CBD. As for the facilities, the central bar design of the bathroom sink was quite retro and interesting. The square bathtub turned out to be much more comfortable than a standard rectangular one.FromPLN 518

This was my second stay at MO Guangzhou, and it was just as welcoming and comfortable as the first. The room was spacious, and the hygiene conditions were relatively good. The staff were responsive and even proactively guided me when I was unsure of the way. During my stay, it happened to be an important time for my family and me, and the hotel, upon learning this, prepared a cake and a small souvenir. Despite a few minor hiccups, they didn't detract from the overall excellent experience. All in all, it was a very pleasant stay, and it will remain my top choice when I visit Guangzhou again.FromPLN 809

Exceeded my expectations! From the moment I landed and booked the pickup service, I was escorted by someone who addressed me by name throughout. I've stayed in many luxury hotels, but this is the only one where even their standard rooms offer a complimentary mini-bar, refilled daily, along with welcome fruits and desserts. The chocolate dessert, in particular, was incredibly rich and delicious, not at all a cut corner. The balcony suite experience was even more amazing than I imagined; the moment I walked in, I felt the price was worth it, with fantastic views overlooking Guangzhou's CBD. The service was impeccable; our butler, Lilith, was very thoughtful and always accommodating. Takeout and deliveries could be brought directly to the room, and every staff member greeted us. The light luxury style is exactly to my taste, more so than the designs at the neighboring Four Seasons or Rosewood, and it felt more personable. The only minor issue was that the soundproofing in the room could be better; otherwise, everything was perfect. I forgot to take photos of the balcony suite, but it was truly beautiful!FromPLN 877

The hotel's facilities are a bit dated, but overall, it's clean and tidy. The location is great, with good surroundings, making it convenient for dining out and visiting nearby attractions. Places like Yuexiu Park are within walking distance. There's also a small exhibition inside the hotel where you can learn about the history of the hotel and Cantonese cuisine, which is quite interesting. My stay at this hotel was absolutely delightful. The room was spacious and bright, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. I loved the convenient all-room lighting control. The bathroom sink was deep and large, and even the slippers had a V-shaped opening for easy wear – these thoughtful details really stood out and are something I haven't seen in other five-star hotels. The breakfast spread was extensive, with made-to-order options; I tried the Dandan noodles and beef brisket pho, both of which were delicious. This was by far the most comfortable hotel I stayed at during the May Day holiday in Guangzhou and Shenzhen! At first, navigating there felt a bit 'remote,' but once inside, it was a pleasant surprise. The shuttle driver in the morning was also excellent; he proactively helped open doors and carry luggage. The front desk lady was very pretty and kind. I'll definitely be back if I need to stay near the airport again! This hotel was perfect for attending Chen Chusheng's concert. It's just one subway stop from University Town, so getting back to the hotel quickly after the show was a breeze. A big shout-out to Guangzhou's excellent management; the order was fantastic! The hotel's location deserves full marks – it's right by subway exit A, super close! 😁 The higher floor offered great views, and the room was spacious. The breakfast had delicious bread and waffles 🧇, tasty freshly made rice noodles, and plenty of fruit. We enjoyed the views while we ate. Both the floor staff and the ground floor attendants were very friendly. If you have time, you can also walk along the greenway on the island. The hotel is 3 minutes from Shiqiao station. There is a bus line in front of the hotel that takes you to Shawan old town and other sites. It is across from a local mall with a lot of eateries.
