Our long-awaited summer family trip to Beijing, with the New Otani Hotel as our base, turned out to be a relaxed and enjoyable journey.

Located in the heart of Chongwenmen, the hotel boasts an excellent prime location. This historic hotel, having weathered the years, has shed its extravagance to offer a truly solid and comfortable stay. The rooms are clean and bright, with good soundproofing, allowing us to rest peacefully at night after days of sightseeing. The girls at the front desk were exceptionally polite; seeing that we were traveling with children and seniors, they thoughtfully upgraded our room – another pleasant surprise during our trip. The staff were patient and attentive, striking just the right balance.

The concierge service for luggage storage was convenient, and food delivery to the room was quick and easy, with Mr. Guan Longhai providing meticulous service. The housekeeping staff, Xiao Rui and Sister Haiyan, were also kind-hearted and down-to-earth. Checkout was swift; simply handing the room card to the front desk staff was all that was needed. We'll definitely bring our child to stay here again on our next visit to Beijing.

This is my second time staying at Peace Hotel, first time was in 2017. This time we stayed at the newer West Wing. We initially had only planned to stay one night but decided to extend our stay and stayed 5 nights this visit. The hotel gave us a voucher for complimentary art workshop. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and so did my nieces. Location of the hotel is perfect, within walking distance to few subway stations and just one block away from downtown commercial shopping. Staff are friendly, great breakfast selection, rooms are, clean and spacious. The housekeeping staff are very polite and friendly,  they are constantly maintaining the cleanliness and tidyness of the space. We did not get a chance to use the pool, as the day goes by it gets pretty busy with kids, swimming cap is mandatory and can be purchased from the gym trainers. The laundry room was convenient (3 washer, 3 dryer), detergent supplied, but the dryer takes a long time to fully dry so we ended up airing our clothes in our suite. If I return to Beijing again in the future, I will definitely book this hotel again.

Our visit to Beijing coincided with the hottest weather. The forecast said 37 degrees Celsius, but it felt even hotter. We tried to set our room temperature to 22 degrees, but couldn't get it to go below 25, likely due to the central AC settings. It was too cold without a blanket at night, but too hot with one, so I didn't sleep well at all. Even the mini-fridge couldn't get colder than the room temperature; I'm not sure if it was broken or just regulated. The staff and manager were all incredibly helpful, but this was an issue they couldn't fix. It really shouldn't be set up this way, especially with such extreme heat. So, my experience this time wasn't great. I wonder if other guests have had similar issues.

Cleanliness: As a five-star hotel, cleanliness is the baseline for trust.
Comfort: Good. The blackout curtains are very effective, and it's quiet, even though it's located right by Chang'an Avenue.
Bedding: The mattress is a bit firm, similar to the firm side of a dual-firmness mattress.
Transportation: Convenient. Subway, walking, and taxis are all easily accessible.
Service: I had the stereotype that service industries in northern cities lack smiling service, but this place surprised me with their pleasant service.
Cons: Being an older hotel, the toilet tends to get clogged easily. Although it was quickly resolved each time, throughout my stay, I kept forgetting not to throw paper in it, which was a minor inconvenience. It would be great if this issue could be fixed.

Traveling to Beijing this time, I felt a bit nostalgic, so I chose this hotel that used to be very famous. It certainly didn't disappoint me. The hygiene here is excellent, the environment is beautiful, the service is top-notch, and the transportation is convenient. The subway station is just a few dozen meters away, and the surrounding area is an embassy district with great views. It's really good value for money and definitely worth recommending.

I was genuinely amazed by the value for money; for just 600, it felt like staying in a 1000-level hotel! 

After booking, the front office manager called me in advance to thoughtfully ask about the children traveling with me. They meticulously planned the route to Universal Studios and provided detailed reminders about all the important travel tips. Upon arrival, the manager personally greeted us, which was incredibly heartwarming.

✨ Service: The front desk ladies were gentle and patient, responding promptly to all requests. Phone calls were answered quickly, making the entire communication process pleasant and hassle-free. The service was full of thoughtful details.
✨ Room & Facilities: The hotel is relatively new, so the hardware is pristine. The high ceilings feel open and not at all cramped, and the overall glass facade is bright and refreshing. The room was spotless and tidily arranged, making for a very comfortable and reassuring stay.
✨ Location: Although it's located outside the Fifth Ring Road and not in the city center, it's only 500 meters from the subway station, making travel to and from Universal Studios very convenient and stress-free for sightseeing.

Overall, the stay far exceeded my expectations. This is my top choice for travel, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to families traveling with children~

I stayed at this hotel for three days last week for a business trip to Inner Mongolia. I'm back today and plan to stay for another week, as I prefer familiar places and don't like switching hotels. I booked a king room, but since there was no showerhead (I have a wound and can't use a shower), I asked the front desk to switch rooms. Instead of an upgrade, they downgraded me to a twin room. I even told them that I saw plenty of rooms available online, so why couldn't they upgrade me? I will never choose this hotel again. As for the dining, I thought it was good, and the restaurant staff were nice. However, the room's cleanliness wasn't great; the bath towel and floor mat were placed together, and the room wasn't cleaned thoroughly. The swimming pool was pretty good, though.

The location is decent. The male manager and staff at the front desk, and Xiao Dong from concierge, were all very friendly; I felt their warmth during my extended stay. However, a certain female manager at the front desk severely lacked service awareness. Her attitude was very robotic, like she was just going through the motions, and she lacked hospitality. Seeing her made me not even want to stay at the hotel. The female manager on duty on May 1st was particularly rigid with breakfast management, which made for a poor experience. The hotel uses a central air conditioning system, so the temperature cannot be adjusted individually, limiting comfort. Given the intense competition in the hotel industry today, I hope management takes seriously the need to adjust service attitudes and improve quality with customer experience at its core. Overall, I'd give it half a star (specifically for that female manager who lacked service awareness).

A huge plus is the spacious room, which gave us plenty of freedom with the kids. The bunk beds were perfect for families with two children, haha!

The staff were all very courteous. Xiao Juan at the front desk was meticulous, attentive, and incredibly enthusiastic. The porter, seeing we had musical instruments, was extra careful when storing them, specifically putting them inside a room – big thumbs up!

The location is quiet yet central. It's about a 10-15 minute walk to Zhonghai Daji Alley, and just a bit north is Zhonghua Bookstore and Ji Xiaolan's Former Residence. Further northeast leads towards Qianmen, and you can reach the Temple of Heaven in just four bus stops from right outside the hotel.

As some reviews mention, it is an older hotel, so the decor is a bit dated. The bathroom has a bathtub, and the floor is carpeted. However, considering our travel needs, it met most of our requirements. These issues are minor imperfections rather than actual problems.

This hotel seems to be an older establishment, and overall, it's pretty good. Breakfast is served in the revolving restaurant on the 26th floor and offers a wide selection. For parking, if you stay over eight hours, the front desk can issue an access pass for 60 yuan. They should really ask guests if they're driving at check-in, as this service is available.

The room was average, the service was average, nothing but smiling service. Such a big hotel is located inside the stadium, obviously there will be many large-scale activities inside, traffic control makes it impossible for vehicles to drive to the hotel entrance, so it takes a long time to walk. I came a long way to watch the concert, if I don't mind walking, I would book a place farther away, I booked here just to walk less, this is a bad review. Secondly, I planned to use the shower head in the bathtub to wash the bathtub, as soon as I turned on the shower head, it started to splash all over me, the shower head in the shower room fell directly, and the water was also slow to drain, causing water to flow into the corridor. Finally, the outside of the window should be covered by something outside the stadium, you can't see anything outside, and no light can get in, it's really too bad, if you are not really too lazy to walk, don't book here.

Had a fantastic stay! The location is great, about a 20-minute drive to both the East Station and the Museum, so it's quite central. Downstairs, there's BBQ, hot pot, and Cotti Coffee, making it super convenient for food delivery – they even have robots for that! It's very quiet and the area feels safe. Plus, you can park under a covered area to protect your car from rain.

A big thank you to the lovely front desk lady who helped me get a really great room with a perfect view of the 'Corn Tower' (a local landmark). The bed was super comfortable, the AC worked perfectly, and there were 4 complimentary bottles of water in the room.

The only minor flaw was that the shower head was broken and almost hit my foot.

They offer a free shuttle service to the station, which was excellent, but it's a shared ride. The other party was late, which almost made me miss my train. I'd suggest giving a heads-up if it's a shared shuttle next time. The driver was very professional, though; he rerouted us due to heavy traffic and got me to the station on time. Great service overall!

Full five-star praise for Zhengshang Jianguo! I traveled a long way to get here, and the front desk staff, especially Xiao Ting, handled my check-in smoothly. Choosing this hotel was definitely the right decision. The cozy duplex room with its own mini-fridge was so comfortable and relaxing. Zhang Haixia was incredibly thoughtful, kindly offering fresh fruit and lovely cookies, which was a very sweet touch. The hotel's location is super convenient; it's just a ten-minute walk to the East Station and the long-distance bus station, and right next to the upcoming Pang Dong Lai. This makes getting around and shopping so easy. My trip was filled with happiness, and I highly recommend it!

Located by the river, the hotel offers stunning river views right outside the door. The back door leads to Langjing Square, and many attractions are within walking distance. There are bus stops nearby for convenient transportation, and Jiujiang Railway Station is a short taxi ride away. The hotel's decor is on the luxurious side, with spacious rooms and bathrooms featuring bathtubs. The old-fashioned maroon furniture creates a somewhat somber atmosphere in the rooms, which lack a main light and have insufficient lighting. All amenities are complete, and the breakfast is plentiful, delicious, and the service is warm and professional.

The hotel is clean and tidy, and the rooms, while small, are well-equipped. Elegant yet charming, the service is attentive and truly comfortable. It felt like home, and every detail was impeccable. The staff were all courteous, welcoming, and attentive. Xiao He, the front desk clerk, provided excellent service. Parking is convenient, and the hotel is spacious and conveniently located next to a shopping mall.
