We didn't expect that there were no toiletries. Just towel and the soap mounted on the wall. But overall stay was amazing.

We enjoyed it! The view from the 11th floor is nice and beautiful. The location of Red Planet Binondo is also very convenient because it is close to Chinatown food trips and Binondo Church, and the staff is very friendly, accommodating, and helpful. Overall, we loved our stay and hope we can come back again someday because it was a great experience.

This hotel is very near the US embassy like 5mins walk going to the overpass and just near the robinson’s mall too. Easy to check in and check out. Comfortable stay and clean room. However there’s no free sleepers and toothpaste/toothbrush or instant coffee but you can buy on the lobby. Free water too but not bottled, you can fill up your tumblers. Nice hotel staffs and security guards too. Will definitely recommend!

Great value central crash pad, but pack your own toothbrush!

Review:
I booked a quick overnight stay (less than 12 hours) at Red Planet Makati Avenue and for a solo traveler on a budget, it's a solid choice.

The Good:

· Staff & Security: Top marks here. The front desk was welcoming and the check-in process was impressively quick and efficient. The security guards were absolute gems—very proactive in helping lift luggage in and out of taxis without even being asked.
· Location: You cannot beat this location. It’s absolutely central Makati, putting you steps away from the best restaurants, shopping malls, and massage spots.

The Not-So-Good:

· Hallway Odor: The main drawback was the smell in the hallway leading to the room. It had a distinct, stale sweat odor that seemed to be coming from the carpet. I didn't have the energy to report it at midnight, but it’s very noticeable the moment you step off the elevator.
· Amenities: This is a no-frills hotel (which I knew), but just a heads-up: toiletries are extremely limited. There was no toothbrush or disposable slippers provided, so bring your own essentials.

Verdict:
Overall, 8/10. If you're a solo traveler or a cheapskate looking for a short stay with incredible value for money in the heart of Makati, Red Planet is a must-try. Just hold your breath in the hallway and bring your own toothbrush.

It’s a decent hotel with the absolute bare minimum in terms of space within the rooms and amenities. The location isn’t the best but not too bad. This spot is recommended for those on a budget.

Not recommended.

1. There is no telephone inside the room. You have to go to the elevator area where the phone is located if you need to make a call.

2. The toiletries are incomplete—there was no toothbrush, toothpaste, or slippers provided in the room.

3. The air conditioner was not cold and seemed to be malfunctioning, so we had to request a transfer to another room.

We were a group of 20 people who booked last minute for 3 weeks after a bad experience at a previous hotel. 

Red Planet was so much better with super friendly and helpful staffs and also have partner laundry service which is very helpful for us who are staying for a long time! And the price is super cheap! If i'm not mistaken it was somewhere around 225php? for 8KG! Super worth it! 

The doorman and cleaners are all super friendly and helpful as well! 🤍 

We felt really welcomed and appreciated every staff that was there ✨

Walking distance to restaurants, bars etc! There's our favourite hangout spot (Kim's Ramyun) next door and a 7-11 just at the end a few shops beside the hotel!
