The Richmond hotel was well placed for the Asakusa area but was lovely and quiet at night. We slept very well in the comfortable bed and had plenty of room to store our things. It was our first stop in Japan and we were expecting small rooms but our room and bathroom  here was of a good size. There was also a cushioned bench seat with a coffee table. It was useful that there were usb ports as well as plug sockets. The fixtures and fittings all appeared new and the carpets were lovely throughout. Everything was very clean. There was a station of amenities near reception and the drip coffee sachets provided a lovely cup of coffee. We would recommend this hotel and would happily stay again.

This area is less crowded, with a couple of malls nearby like Parco and Termina, so food and basic amenities are easily accessible. I really like that the room and bathroom are more spacious than usual. I could fully open my two large suitcases and still have space to move around. There’s also a humidifier in the room, which helps a lot with the dry air. We book a 2 single bed room and it fits perfectly for us and 1 kid. The 2 bed were combined with much space for all.

Everything is good! Location, amenities, free drinks in the lounge are superb! Uniqlo is just downstairs. So many good food nearby, not to mention Donki as well. Most viral food on Tiktok/IG are walking distance away, including Benitsuru Pancake! Nearest convenience store is Lawson. Service is top notch! Will choose to come back to the hotel again when Im in Asakusa.

💁♀️The staff was very helpful and friendly.
What I like most is they turned breakfast area to be lounge where you can get free drinks and icecream - it was tasty!

🏠The room has a door inside to seperate from bathroom and bedroom, for me, I feel the room is bigger than average that you will get from others in the same range. 
Plus you can use washing machine and can check availibity on the TV in your room!

🚋The location is close to the subway station, you can take it to Tokyo station in 10mins.

I will absolutely come back if I have a chance to come to Tokyo again 🥰

hotel was one of the best value hotels in tokyo i have stayed at considering it was a weekend & there was also decomiku concert, front desk was very friendly & allowed to store our luggages till 9pm the next day! 


room : very spacious, cleaniness was acceptable but can be improved [9/10]

location : 3mins walk from JR mejiro station, very convenient! [10/10]

cost : very good considering the location & room size ($150 sgd for 2) [10/10]

The environment is great and the service is excellent, especially since we had a lot of luggage to store. We dropped it off at the front desk in two batches, and they patiently helped us store it both times. There's also a scale in the lobby for weighing luggage. Our room had a view of the Tokyo Skytree, and the Skytree mall and Oshiage subway station are right outside, which is super convenient for direct access to both airports. The only downside was a faint, unpleasant odor in the room, possibly like foot odor, which was quite off-putting.

Extremely satisfied with our stay!

This was our first time staying at a hotel in Japan. Since we only speak Chinese and English and no Japanese, we had imagined countless potential problems before going. To our surprise, the hotel environment was great, and the front desk staff spoke good English. The train station is right outside the door, making transportation very convenient. There's also a supermarket and many convenience stores downstairs, which was incredibly handy.

My recent stay at the Richmond Hotel Tokyo Shiba was quite a shock, definitely not as good as previous Richmond stays. I encountered a lot of issues during my four nights there. First, regarding my request for 'no corner room' – I had communicated this in advance via Ctrip. However, each floor at this hotel is small with only a few rooms, so there's not really a distinction between corner or non-corner. But I was still assigned a corner room on the top floor, which was really inconvenient. If the elevators were busy, I had to wait quite a while 😂. Two elevators really aren't enough. 

Next, the cleanliness. On my first day, I didn't select the continuous stay option on the TV. The hotel's policy is to clean every three days. I changed it to have cleaning for the remaining three days. But, dramatically, the first cleaning was fine, while the second and third had issues. During the second cleaning, the hotel's cleaning staff left two of their rags in my room. I wrote a note, but received no response, giving me the impression they just thought 'oh well, it's in your room now' 😃. The third cleaning was very simplified, and some areas were clearly missed.

As for the front desk, their English proficiency was quite limited, and sometimes they couldn't understand what I was saying. However, the female staff generally maintained a smiling service, while some of the male staff were expressionless.

I originally chose this hotel because of its good location, close to the JR station, which was indeed convenient. It's also close to Shiba Shinmei Shopping Street, Shiba Park, and Tokyo Tower. But I'd say the service was mediocre 😂. The room was also quite small, and I felt there were too few power outlets.

Pretty convenient location going to the major stations on the East or West of Tokyo takes about 20mins. There is also don quixote directly below and convenience stores nearby. Room was quite spacious  compared to other hotel's single room. Overall would recommend.

The room is relatively small, and we need to spread out our suitcases at the door, but the staff is very friendly and patiently waited for us to communicate in Japanese using a translator. When we checked out, they took the initiative to ask us if we needed to store our luggage. Thank you very much☺

My overall experience at this hotel far exceeded my expectations. While the hotel isn't huge, the room design is incredibly efficient. Compared to other hotels I've stayed in recently, I could easily lay out two 32-inch suitcases with plenty of space to walk around, which is very spacious for a hotel of this type – it didn't feel cramped at all.

The room environment and hygiene were excellent, very clean and tidy, with well-maintained facilities, making for a comfortable and reassuring stay. What impressed me most was the location; it's right next to Hakata Station, making transfers and getting around extremely convenient and saving a lot of travel time. There's a wide variety of dining options nearby, with everything you could want to eat and drink, making it super easy for everyday meals or finding a bite while shopping. The location is truly superior.

Service was attentive and thoughtful, and overall, it offered great value for money. It's incredibly convenient for travel, shopping, and dining, and the rooms are spacious and clean. The living experience was excellent, making this one of the most satisfying hotels of my trip. I will definitely choose to stay here again next time I visit Fukuoka, and I highly recommend it to everyone.

The hotel is right in the heart of Tenjin, with Iwataya, Mitsukoshi, and various other department stores right outside, all within walking distance for shopping. The nearby One Fukuoka Building is also great for browsing, and there's a FamilyMart directly across from the hotel. The room view is fantastic, and the front desk staff can speak a little English, which was helpful for communication. Breakfast is a buffet, but one of the staff members wasn't very polite; they rushed us when it was almost closing time without a smile or any polite language. Overall, the hotel is still pretty good.

Location of hotel was excellent as it is very near to entrance of Tenjin Underground Mall and the subway. Paid parking is available onsite. Amenities are available at reception area and you collect what you need. Sleeping pyjamas are provided in room. Beds are comfortable but pillows are thin. Clean and basic rooms, towels get changed daily upon request.

This hotel boasts an excellent location, not far from Yokohama JR Station, and within easy reach of Chinatown, the harbor, Yamashita Park, Red Brick Warehouse, and the Cup Noodles Museum. Dining and shopping options are also very convenient. The rooms are exceptionally spacious for a hotel of this class in Japan, and the facilities are top-notch. It offers great value for money and I highly recommend staying here.

Facilities: There are hot and cold water dispensers by every elevator, so you can easily refill your water bottle, which is also very environmentally friendly.

Environment: The front desk area offers complimentary tea bags and coffee for self-service. The lobby is quite spacious, and they provide free luggage storage after check-out.

Service: Self check-in and check-out is available with multi-language options on the machines. It seems many hotels in Japan are now offering this service. The hotel staff were also very helpful and answered all our questions.

Location: It's about a 6-7 minute walk from Yokohama Station. Compared to hotels within the Tokyo area, the rooms here are significantly larger. If you're planning trips to Kamakura, Fuji, or Atami, I think this Yokohama hotel makes for an excellent hub.

My only minor complaint would be the longer-than-average wait times for the elevators.
