It is a very nice hotel with attentive staff! The hotel is about a 7 minutes walk from Kyoto station. It’s a very convenient place to stay if you’re catching an early train or arriving from a late one. I don’t know if I’d recommend it for a longer stay since the area is quite boring. There’s plenty of restaurants and shops within the station but they’re very crowded and more expensive. It’s also quite far away from the main sights of Kyoto, so for a longer stay I’d recommend staying downtown. The included room amenities are good but nothing special. There’s shaving kits, towels, haircare, skincare, tea, water, and yukata robes (the robes are not souvenirs). There’s a pool, a spa area, and a restaurant, which all have an additional fee. My room was clean, but I found some scuff marks on the walls and a crack in my bathtub. From Kyoto station you can see Kyoto tower but it’s not an amazing sight hahaha. It takes about 25 minutes to downtown Kyoto from the hote

I felt compelled to write a review although it’s something I don’t always do because my partner and I genuinely enjoyed our stay at this hotel! Room is spacious, clean, and housekeeping is done daily. Location is great! close to Kyoto station and several bus + taxi stands. Convenience stores & Don Quijote is a stone’s throw away. Reception was kind and always helpful. The only let down was the view, our room was facing a stairwell/backalley? So we never could fully open our blinds. Nevertheless, we’d be happy to stay here again in the future.

Location: Just a 2-minute walk from Shijo Subway Station Exit 6, super close! It's on a side street, so the area is very quiet and has a charming Kyoto vibe. There are plenty of izakayas nearby, and a 7-Eleven right next door!

It's normal for hotels in Japan to be small, and the room here was indeed a bit on the smaller side. You won't be able to fully open a large suitcase.

A thoughtful touch: the room has a makeup mirror, which is a huge plus for women!

If you're a woman, be prepared! Shijo Subway Station Exit 6 doesn't have an elevator, and the stairs are quite high. Carrying heavy luggage might be a bit of a struggle.

Overall, I'm very satisfied with this hotel in all aspects!

I booked this hotel to see Kiyomizu and for a quick, two-day trip. The room was quite spacious and very clean, and I could enjoy Tokyo's night view in the evening. I'd probably book here again if I come back to Tokyo. The only slight inconvenience was that both nearby subway exits were all stairs, so you had to climb them yourself. However, the surrounding streets were very quiet, and there's a school next to the hotel, so the high school students were quite energetic.

This is one the best hotels if not the best hotels in Tokyo for its money. If you need to be around Shinjuku, it’s terrific. Calm, quiet. Adorable.

The location is absolutely fantastic, right next to Shiba Park and incredibly close to Tokyo Tower – just a short walk away. The room, though small, was clean, comfortable, and very convenient for transport. The service was genuinely reliable, honest, and thoughtful. Especially impressive was how the hotel staff carefully kept and fully returned the three New Year's red envelopes I had left under the pillow. Even though it was only a few thousand RMB, it was a New Year's gift for my daughter and represented the ritual of the holiday, so losing it would have been incredibly upsetting. This level of reliability, honesty, and attentiveness is rarer and more valuable than any beautiful view. When I go to Tokyo again, this hotel will definitely be my first choice for peace of mind!

We recently stayed at ANCHORED by RIHGA Osaka Namba and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience with both the service and housekeeping.

When we returned to our room, one of my Gucci slippers was severely damaged and the emblem on the other slipper had come off. The slippers were almost new and had only been worn indoors. We immediately reported this to the front desk. The staff member was visibly shocked, said this was not normal, and told us she would discuss it with the manager.

The next day, the attitude completely changed. The manager told us the housekeeping staff denied any involvement, and therefore no compensation or solution would be offered. We found this extremely disappointing, especially because there was barely any serious attempt to resolve the situation. This discussion also took place while our airport transfer was already waiting outside, which made the experience even more stressful and unprofessional. The manager handled the situation very poorly and dismissively. 

In addition, we experienced several housekeeping issues during our stay. On one day, housekeeping did not show up despite us requesting cleaning service. Upon arrival, there were also stains in the sink and dirt on the floor.

The hotel location is good, but unfortunately the way complaints are handled here felt very unprofessional and dismissive.

The hotel's location is fantastic, making it incredibly convenient for getting around. You can even walk to the Umeda shopping district. The cleanliness was excellent, and there are plenty of dining options nearby. Plus, there's a convenience store right downstairs and even a drugstore.
