This time I stayed in Lujiazui for the convenience of dining and travel. Among similar room types, the value for money was high, especially since we needed a suite with family. After consulting the hotel in advance, we chose the Pujiang Building (old building) based on our personal needs. You can see the river from there, although the suite's view was a bit lacking. However, the swimming pool on the fourth floor and the executive lounge both offered excellent views. The new building overlooks the 'Three Piece Set' (referring to the three iconic skyscrapers), but I personally prefer the style of the old building. Both buildings have takeaway lockers downstairs, which is very convenient. The New Year's desserts were both beautiful and delicious, and the staff provided a lot of assistance. The room was very comfortable, allowing us to sleep in until we naturally woke up... We didn't leave until the afternoon. Whenever I stay in Lujiazui, I'll choose this place.

The Jing'an Shangri-La is often considered a benchmark, and I'd say its facilities and hardware certainly meet that standard. However, the service, unfortunately, falls a bit short. The views are beautiful, and it's surrounded by large shopping malls, making it very convenient and modern. But I really do feel the service was lacking. The front desk staff seemed a bit cold, and the breakfast and the Horizon Club's afternoon tea were very, very average, especially when compared to other five-star hotels of the same caliber.

The service here is truly excellent (and I'm not just saying that because I had a bad experience at Grand Hyatt the day before). The public areas had a lovely Christmas vibe. While waiting to check in, the concierge proactively helped with my luggage and escorted me to a seat. At check-in, they spontaneously mentioned they had given me a room on the top floor, which I was quite pleased with. It was actually my birthday, but I hadn't mentioned it. Later, when I sought assistance again, the concierge was very enthusiastic about explaining the hotel facilities and, through our chat, learned it was my birthday. He immediately offered to arrange a cake, but it was a bit late that day, so they sent some fruit instead. The next morning, Guest Relations called to ask if it was convenient, and so I still got to enjoy the cake in the end 😏. As for the room facilities, apart from the phone which I initially didn't understand how to use but later figured out, you can tell it's a relatively new hotel. The charging outlets and flow design are very logical and practical. There's even wireless charging hidden in the bedside table, and multiple charging ports available even without bringing your own plug. The amenities are eco-friendly but quite good. Hygiene was impeccable. The bathrobes came sealed in bags, and there's an ironing board. The only minor point is that the electric toilet makes noise occasionally.

Given it's a new hotel, the facilities are impeccable. Thanks to the double-glazed windows in all rooms, airport noise is virtually unnoticeable. The in-room mini-bar offers complimentary drinks, and purified drinking water is readily available from a tap, with an electric kettle for heating – very convenient. In a thoughtful gesture, complimentary tremella (snow fungus) soup was delivered to the room in the evening. Check-in is on the 12th floor, boasting excellent views, and the front desk staff provided exceptionally thoughtful service. The hotel's 3rd floor offers a direct connection to Hongqiao Airport Terminal 2, which is incredibly convenient for air travelers. For aviation enthusiasts, the airport views are unbeatable.

A few personal observations:
The bed was quite firm, which suited me fine. However, guests who prefer a softer mattress should be aware. Mobile phone signal in the room was a bit weak, something the hotel might need to address, but the Wi-Fi speed was excellent.

The lobby was bustling with a festive Christmas atmosphere, reminiscent of the vibrant Chinese New Year scene I witnessed at the China Hotel Guangzhou earlier this year. Perhaps, for businesses operated by Hong Kong merchants, popularity truly translates to prosperity.

**Facilities:** The lighting, in particular, had a modern, upwardly mobile feel.
**Hygiene:** Clean and comfortable.
**Environment:** Secluded yet convenient, the guest rooms were very quiet.
**Service:** Thoughtful and efficient.
**Breakfast:** Abundant, though the labels for the condiments could be improved.

Starting and ending with this trip, I celebrated the transition into 2025 in Beijing, under the name of China.

Just got back from Beijing, and I can't wait to praise Wang Ran from the hotel's service center – truly excellent, with superb professional skills. Here's what happened: The day before yesterday, it snowed, and I suddenly had the urge to visit the Summer Palace in Beijing to see the snow. I was initially hesitant about going, so I called your hotel to inquire about check-in details. The person who answered was Wang Ran from the service center (I only learned her position and name later when I asked her). Wang Ran's service made me feel incredibly warm. She confidently explained the hotel's room situation and also informed me about Beijing's weather conditions and various transportation options to the Summer Palace. Her help immediately dispelled my hesitation, and I no longer wanted to inquire about any other hotels. Because of her service, I absolutely had to choose Shangri-La Hotel!

Wang Ran from the service center had a clear and gentle voice, and her opening remarks were polite and friendly, instantly alleviating the anxiety I felt due to my tight schedule. I had a lot of questions this time, ranging from room upgrade policies, breakfast issues, and wet/dry separation in the bathroom to transportation around the hotel and breakfast times. My questions were numerous and repetitive, but Wang Ran patiently listened without the slightest hint of perfunctory service. Throughout our conversation, she was clear-headed, responded accurately, and even re-confirmed my needs before ending the call to ensure nothing was missed.

This kind of proactive, detailed, and enthusiastic service far exceeded my expectations and made me look forward to my upcoming stay. The fact that your hotel can cultivate such professional staff speaks volumes about your profound service philosophy. I'd like to commend Wang Ran once again for her outstanding performance and thank your hotel for the excellent service experience!

Shangri-La China World Summit Wing, Beijing – a high-rise stay with incredible value for money!

I can't believe I'm only just discovering the China World Summit Wing, Beijing now! For various reasons, I needed accommodation in Beijing these past two days. After thoroughly considering the location, surrounding commercial hub, transport convenience, star rating, and reviews, I chose the China World Summit Wing, Beijing!

Our wonderful journey began right from the hotel's ground floor lobby.

First, a polite young bellboy enthusiastically helped open the car door. Then, the ground floor lobby staff courteously and warmly escorted us to the elevator bound for the 64th floor. The front desk on the 64th floor handled our check-in with equal politeness and warmth – everything was simply perfect!

We stayed in an Executive Twin Room on the 71st floor. The room rate was over 1,700 RMB, which, for Beijing's CBD, is actually quite reasonable! Plus, there are many hidden perks!

I won't even mention the clean and elegant guest room, the large platter of welcome fruit, or the complimentary daily T9 tea bags and coffee sachets. First and foremost, guests enjoy complimentary access to the Executive Lounge on the 64th floor every day. This includes a wide selection of capsule coffees, various sweet and savory pastries, a range of juices, free use of Apple computers, and complimentary meeting room bookings, among other things. Secondly, there's the daily ”Happy Hour” at the Cloud Bar on the 80th floor, offering unbeatable panoramic views, a variety of alcoholic beverages and juices, and a buffet worth approximately 300 RMB per person. Most importantly, the view from the guest room is absolutely phenomenal! The CCTV Headquarters, China Zun, and the Guomao business district are right before your eyes. You can see Chang'an Avenue, the Forbidden City, Workers' Stadium... and even the Yanshan and Taihang mountain ranges in the distance. That feeling of vast skies and endless clouds is simply breathtaking! Personally, I think the room view alone makes it worth the price.

The dining experience is also superb. Breakfast is served on the 79th floor, also boasting fantastic views. Beyond the standard 5-star hotel offerings, the breakfast selection also includes authentic Old Beijing flavors!

In summary, if you're traveling to Beijing, I highly recommend the China World Summit Wing, Beijing! The hotel is located in the tallest tower within the Guomao business district. It offers direct access via Metro Lines 1 and 10, along with multiple bus routes. Situated at Dabeiyao on East Chang'an Avenue, it's very close to Tiananmen, the Temple of Heaven, Qianmen, Olympic Forest Park, and Chaoyang Park.

Shangri-La Shougang Park, Beijing truly redefines the hotel experience! The industrial-chic design, transformed from an old power plant, is incredibly stylish. The red spiral staircase and steel frameworks are perfect for photos. The public areas are surrounded by lush greenery, like an indoor botanical garden, and the bird installations show amazing attention to detail. The guest rooms are spacious and bright, with floor-to-ceiling windows offering beautiful views of Shijingshan. The direct drinking water dispenser and large bottles of toiletries are a great eco-friendly touch. Breakfast offers a wide variety of choices, and the service is attentive and thoughtful. It's within walking distance of the Olympic Big Air Shougang, and the surrounding amenities are excellent. The stunning blend of industrial grit and natural elegance is truly impressive, making it ideal for both business travelers and leisure guests. The overall experience is top-notch!

The photo shoot with Xuan Ying was also fantastic – very efficient and produced great shots, highly recommended!

Even though the hotel is a bit older, it's very well-maintained. The location is excellent, right next to the metro station and Shenzhen Railway Station, making it super convenient to cross the border into Hong Kong. The breakfast selection is also quite extensive, and even though the swimming pool is outdoors, it's very clean. Definitely worth another stay.

This is the best value-for-money hotel in Futian. While not newly renovated, its style and design are classic and beautiful.

The front desk kindly upgraded me to a junior suite. Both the living room and bedroom featured large floor-to-ceiling windows with fantastic views.

I only had two minor issues: First, housekeeping forgot to provide bottled water. I only realized there wasn't any in the room late at night and had to call room service to get some. Also, upon check-in, I noticed that one of the drawers on either side of the living room was half open and the other was closed, indicating that room service attention to detail could be improved. Second, the room had some smart amenities, but their effectiveness was minimal. For example, the electric trash can and automatic kettle – the latter was actually broken, as the water I set to 100 degrees was still cold after half an hour. Ironically, the things that truly needed an upgrade weren't. On one side of the bed, only the time display had a charging port; one port didn't work, and the other made a loud noise when charging. I ended up having to use the old-fashioned outlet on the other side of the bed. If renovations are planned, I'd suggest focusing on these essential areas.

Overall, the positives far outweigh these minor drawbacks. The lobby decor is magnificent, with a strong Christmas atmosphere, and the service was excellent. It's a hotel I really like.

The hotel is beautiful, with very thoughtful decoration and furnishings. The facilities are new and function perfectly. The location is also excellent; rooms on three sides offer sea views, and the remaining side also has an open vista. If you're exploring the Nanshan area, the transportation is convenient.

However, the service doesn't match the quality of the hardware or the price. I won't even mention the minor issues, but there were a few significant problems.

Firstly, we checked in around 10 AM and immediately went out. When we returned in the evening, we were given a room directly facing a construction site. If it hadn't been so late, we definitely would have asked to change rooms. The next day, we realized there were many workers actively constructing, which negatively impacted both our experience and privacy. I believe a hotel of Shangri-La's caliber should only assign such rooms as a last resort and should inform guests when providing the key card.

Secondly, for some reason, there was a long queue to scan cards and enter the breakfast restaurant – something I've never encountered before. Even at nearly 10:30 AM, people were still waiting in line, and the hostess was incredibly agitated and impatient. Overall, the breakfast service was hard to describe; while the spread was plentiful and the food tasted good, the service was lacking.

Thirdly, when I asked for a few disposable bags for dirty laundry, we were told we could only have a maximum of three. I was truly speechless.

Honestly, the overall service gave me a feeling of superficial politeness, coupled with unprofessionalism and an almost 'mean' attitude. If you're looking to take beautiful photos, you might consider staying here, but for anything else, I wouldn't recommend it.
