The hotel's location is excellent, making it very convenient for getting around. My room was upgraded, and the facilities are comprehensive, making it perfect for business trips. The welcome fruit was especially good, with a rich variety – 5 or 6 different kinds, I forgot to take a picture. It might be fruit season in autumn, they put a lot of thought into it. I also want to thank Ella at the front desk; her work was meticulous, and her service was professional, which left a great impression.

I came to Shanghai for a weekend getaway. I originally booked a Deluxe Twin Room, but the front desk offered to upgrade me to a Club Suite since I was only staying one night, which was a pleasant surprise for my trip.

The room decor was high-quality, with a warm and comfortable color scheme. The corner sofa in the suite's living room felt just like home. Staying on the 47th floor, the view was unobstructed; Jing'an Temple's golden roof was right below, and I could even see the Suzhou IFS.

Kerry Centre, with my favorite RRL, was right downstairs. For breakfast, I went to the Club Lounge restaurant on the 55th floor. It wasn't crowded, and they offered a buffet with à la carte options – delicious!

The decor, ambiance, service, and location were all excellent. We were in town to watch UFC with family, and it was within walking distance. Taikoo Li is right downstairs, which is great for shopping. There were many staff members, and the service was impeccable. The pool was also very comfortable. The club lounge food was good, and there was a wide variety of drinks. The only issue was on our last morning, our youngest child fell off the sofa and bruised their eyes and nose. The staff responded quickly, providing iodine swabs and a teddy bear. However, there are still safety concerns. Families with young children should be aware. The gap between the sofa and the window is awkward, and the window frame is a raised metal protrusion. If a child falls there, it's hard to avoid bumping into it. I noticed that in the common areas, the window frames are flush with the ground. The design in the rooms still has some issues and needs improvement.

The ultimate hotel at Hongqiao Airport, and it truly lives up to its reputation. My son really wanted to see planes up close. We'd previously stayed in a runway view room at the Marriott, which was great. This time, we booked the Shangri-La Executive Airport View Suite. It's an approximately 88-square-meter, linear layout with floor-to-ceiling windows directly facing the runway. You get an unobstructed view of planes taking off and landing – wings soaring through clouds during the day, and golden-edged sunsets in the evening. It's truly a sight you never get tired of.

The most pleasant surprise was the soundproofing – the hotel uses four layers of soundproof glass. Lying in bed, you can't hear any plane noise at all, and I slept unexpectedly soundly.

The suite comes fully equipped:

🛏️ Master bedroom + separate living room. The bedding is noticeably superior to standard rooms.
🍳 Washing machine, microwave, and induction cooktop are all provided, perfect for longer stays.
🚿 Master bathroom + guest bathroom with double showers, Hansgrohe showerheads + Dyson hairdryer.
☕ Capsule coffee machine + direct drinking water dispenser + complimentary minibar.
📺 65-inch TV + JBL audio + smart room controls.

As the world's first all-Horizon Club hotel, all rooms include executive lounge privileges. The Horizon Club Lounge on the 12th floor is the heart of it all:

Breakfast: Lanxi beef noodles, freshly wrapped wontons, Donghe roubing (meat pastry), Youbu soy milk – authentic Jiangnan flavors.
Afternoon Tea: Starts at 2:30 PM, perfect for watching planes by the window and relaxing.
Happy Hour: Starts at 5:30 PM, with fried rice, BBQ meats, and special cocktails. If you don't have high culinary demands, it can easily serve as dinner.

And the location is a true game-changer – direct access to the departure level of T2. If you have an early morning flight, you're practically there upon arrival. Just a two-minute walk with your luggage to check-in. They also provide a quick security check pass for the dedicated Channel 5 at T2 domestic departures.

💡 Minor drawbacks: The hot water pressure was a bit low, and there weren't many Western options at breakfast. But these are minor issues; it's hands down the best choice for a layover in Hongqiao or catching an early morning flight.

We stayed for four nights with our child, and the facilities and service were excellent, truly five-star standard. The only thing missing was robot delivery service for meals, but picking up from the express locker at the door wasn't inconvenient at all, quite handy actually. The location is superb, right at Guomao, and with Metro Lines 1 and 11 nearby, it's incredibly convenient to get to the Forbidden City, National Museum, and Universal Studios. There are also tons of shopping and dining options all around.

To surprise my little one, I specifically booked the Rubber Duck-themed room. On arrival, I decided to pay extra to upgrade to the Horizon Club, which offered a more spacious room and a fantastic view – this upgrade was definitely worth it! After the staff finished setting everything up, we were completely charmed by all the adorable themed elements throughout the room.

I have to give a special shout-out to Alice at the front desk. Not only was she professional, but she was also incredibly warm and friendly, just like an old friend. After checking us in, she personally escorted us to our room, interacting sweetly with my child along the way. Later, we received a lovely macaron gift in our room, and this sweet gesture instantly won us over.

The dining options at the Horizon Club were also excellent, with a rich variety of delicious dishes. The best part is that all drinks and fruits were included, which was both convenient and great value. From the facilities to the service, every detail showed great care, and both adults and children were absolutely delighted. Next time I'm in Beijing, the Shangri-La will definitely be my top choice. Full marks, highly recommended!

Having stayed at many five-star hotels in Beijing, this one currently reigns supreme. First off, the views are unbeatable; you get a panoramic sweep of iconic skyscrapers like the CCTV Headquarters and Fortune Plaza. The night lights are spectacular, truly embodying the city's vibrant spirit. On the day I checked in, there was a minor issue that was quickly resolved by upgrading my room. The 64th-floor lounge offers 24-hour free-flow drinks. While the variety isn't extensive, it generally meets most executive lounge expectations. The coffee, however, is quite good. The happy hour on the 80th floor had decent pastries. Hot dishes were replenished quickly, and the service was excellent. The breakfast buffet is absolutely top-notch, combining à la carte and buffet options. The à la carte seafood millet porridge, with generous portions of scallops, sea cucumber, and shrimp, was incredibly comforting – I had two bowls. The egg tarts, fresh from the oven, were also outstanding; flaky crust, not too sweet, simply delicious. I recommend going before 9:30 AM for breakfast to snag a window seat and enjoy it at leisure. The room had many thoughtful details. For instance, the Nespresso machine already had water in it, and the instructions were incredibly simple – just pop in a capsule. In most hotels of the same caliber, I'd usually have to add water and plug it in myself. The large bathtub came with a headrest, and bath towels were conveniently placed within reach above. Even under the sink, there was an anti-slip towel mat, making every corner of the room feel meticulously arranged for comfort. The pool on the 78th floor is open until 11 PM. There are also two steam rooms and a massage pool, perfect for relaxing. I'm already planning to try a room with a view next time.

Three years later, I've returned to the Shougang Park Shangri-La Hotel, and I'm still deeply captivated by its unique balance of industrial style and vibrant greenery. We stayed in a deluxe twin room, and outside the large window was Yongding River Market. Three years ago, it was a desolate riverbank, but now it's bustling with various small shops and a riverside promenade. The room size was just right, with excellent layout and design. I particularly loved the large green table, where two people could sit facing each other, enjoying tea and coffee. It provided a pleasant and comfortable retreat on hot afternoons when going out wasn't ideal. The service at Shangri-La is warm and professional; no matter if you're in the lobby or the elevator, the staff's thoughtful greetings are always present. Special thanks to Ms. Sun at the front desk, who, upon learning of our special requests, always responded and fulfilled them promptly, making us feel right at home. The surrounding area, with its delicious restaurants, great coffee shops, a nice cinema, and the pleasant Yongding River Market, made for a wonderful two-day holiday.

The location is super convenient, but the facilities are quite old. Plus, with the construction of the large bridge/overpass, they work overtime late into the night, which can be noisy. Being close to the train station, when traffic jams, people honk their horns intentionally until very late, which is pretty loud. The pool, while not exceptional, is decent. However, an annual pass is a bit too expensive.

The hotel location is great, and the exterior looks good. The lobby on the first floor is also nice. However, there was a locked door in my room, which made me feel a bit uneasy. The hairdryer was strangely fixed inside a bathroom drawer. The smart toilet flush button didn't work; I had to close the lid to flush.

My stay at Shangri-La Shenzhen Nanshan truly exceeded all expectations, I simply have to rave about it!

💁 Butler Service: Nico was incredibly attentive!
Nico called me in advance to confirm my check-in needs and preferences. On the day of arrival, she even upgraded us to a bay view room on a higher floor with a stunning view, free of charge. She personally escorted us from the ground floor all the way to our room, explaining all the facilities and providing helpful tips along the way – so thoughtful! During our stay, any request we had was met with an immediate response. Nico, our butler, was truly caring, gentle, and professional.

🌃 Night View: The 'cloud-level' vista was absolutely breathtaking!
The hotel lobby and guest rooms are mainly located from the 66th to the 78th floor. Even before entering the room, you can overlook the entire Shenzhen Bay, which is truly stunning. The panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows on the higher floors offer an exceptionally expansive view, with Shenzhen Bay and the city skyline spread out before you. In the evening, the golf course, the 'Spring Bamboo' tower, and Shenzhen Bay are all visible, making the scenery particularly amazing. Gazing at the city lights from the 66th floor, any fatigue instantly melted away.

🍽️ Dining: Both the buffet dinner and breakfast were plentiful!
The dinner buffet offered an incredibly rich variety of dishes, with seafood, sashimi, desserts, and Haagen-Dazs ice cream – everything you could wish for. The hotel's breakfast buffet was also very extensive, with many options. The freshly made congee, fresh coconut opened on the spot, and authentic Hong Kong-style dim sum were all fantastic. The freshly made rice noodle rolls and morning tea dim sum were also very authentic. Breakfast was enjoyed at the high-altitude restaurant on the 66th floor, offering panoramic views of Shenzhen Bay. Eating breakfast by the window, while enjoying the scenery, was pure bliss.

Overall, the service, views, and dining were all top-notch. I'm grateful that my Trip.com Black Diamond membership's 'one city, one room' benefit allowed us to experience the charm of Shangri-La Nanshan.
