Exceptional Stay, Unforgettable Service. Exceptional service provided by the hotel staff especially Mr. Ben & another female staff provided prompt assistance when my mom lost her way on the way back to the hotel. They immediately take action to contact the police & driver which makes my mom safety back to the hotel. Really helpful & efficient service.

Mr. Yut assist to book the taxi for us when we depart to airport. The staff's collective commitment to excellence was palpable, guarantees my return and my highest recommendation.

Beautiful hotel in the lively area of Sukhumvit. Great amenities and incredible view from the restaurant and bar at the top. Room was exactly as photographed, clean and to a great standard. Would definitely stay again. Thanks to all the lovely, helpful staff

It’s my 2nd time staying at this hotel, and although there were a few hiccups this round, overall it was still a pleasant and enjoyable experience!
The hotel staff remain as welcoming and helpful as ever. I’m absolutely obsessed with the TAO BIN beverage vending machine at the lobby!
Our room was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with a 2-in-1 washing machine and dryer, as well as a microwave — perfect for daily convenience. However, we did encounter an issue with the dryer during our stay. The maintenance technician spoke little to no English, which made communication quite challenging, and we weren’t entirely confident that he knew how to resolve the issue.

Thankfully, the front desk care team quickly stepped in and efficiently arranged for us to move to another room within 20 minutes. They spoke good English, were patient, and handled the situation very professionally.

Once we moved to the Executive Two-Bedroom Serviced Residence, everything worked perfectly, and the rest of our stay was smooth and comfortable.
Despite the minor inconvenience, the staff’s responsiveness and warm service made our stay a great one overall.

Check-in was smooth and the staff were very helpful. I needed a late check-out and they recommended joining the membership which allowed it, super thoughtful! The room was clean, spacious, and had great natural light. The bed was comfy, aircon worked well (and didn’t trigger my sinus), and the bathroom was spotless with a bidet and nice-smelling toiletries.

Some appliances like the hair dryer and weighing scale were a bit outdated, and the towels were slightly rough, but everything else worked great including the washing machine and microwave. Breakfast was a small spread but everything was tasty. The infinity pool offers a beautiful sunset view (I didn’t swim but it looked great).

They also provide free tuk-tuk shuttles to the nearby BTS. Location wise, Thonglor is perfect with plenty of food and massage spots around. Housekeeping was exceptional. They even folded my clothes and returned forgotten items on my last day.

Perfect for families, business trips, or long stays. Quiet, comfortable, and reasonably priced. Only suggestion would be to add an anti-slip mat for the bathtub. Overall, a really pleasant stay!

I truly appreciate the complimentary upgrade and the friendly staff. Though I experienced yellow water and no hot water on the second day, I’m grateful for the team’s efforts and hope maintenance can be improved for future stays.

The hotel's location is great, and the surrounding area is very convenient with supermarkets and street food stalls easily accessible. Some rooms have older air conditioning units that can be a bit noisy, but they still cool effectively.

We stayed at Somerset Grand Hanoi in November and had a wonderful experience. Yes, the hotel is older, but it is extremely convenient—just a 7–10 minute walk to the Old Quarter and close to everything you’d want to explore. The cooler weather was perfect; we could comfortably wear shorts, and the kids even enjoyed the pool.

Our 2-bedroom, 2-bath unit on the 10th floor was spacious and practical, with a full kitchen and a washer/dryer combo—super helpful for families. The kids especially loved the ping pong table! There’s also a Quick Mart right inside the hotel, which made it easy to grab breakfast items, snacks, and even last-minute things like cough drops.

We didn’t eat at the hotel since there are so many incredible options just steps away—but that’s part of the charm of staying here.

Overall, a comfortable, convenient, and family-friendly place to stay in Hanoi. Highly recommend!

This hotel was absolutely unreal. From the moment we arrived, we were approached with polite and kind attitudes not the staff, offered a medicinal tea during our wait and patiently assisted in locating am ATM to retrieve cash for a deposit. Every instance of our arrival and departure from the hotel for our day to day activities followed by polite greetings from the front desk staff.

The view was beautiful, and the service apartment came supplied with several household objects including cooking pots, pans, and utensils. It was also equipped with a microwave which was very convenient.

The location which just a 15-20 minute drive from Old Quarter, and still convenient enough for exploring by walking. There were several authentic shops and restaurants nearby which made for easy access to great meals and snacks during daily activities. I would highly recommend a stay with this hotel.

A Coffee shop and a convenient store is nearby the hotel. Location of the hotel is easy to go any place in the city.

Hotel room is big and clean. We need to have brwakfast at a restaurant 20 meters away from hotel, npt so many choices.

It was a pleasant stay at the apartment. Nice and clean room with housekeeping services. Located near shopping mall (5min walking distance), convenient to get some necessities if needed. Will choose to stay here again in future.

Stayed at a family suite for 6 nights. The location is peaceful and there are mcdonald, 7-11, Starbucks and a Chinese restaurant that closes quite earlier(as early as 830pm but opens around 7am) as this is a bio tech park office. There is a metro station right below the residence for those who prefer to take train. There are a few malls at the next station. 
As for the apartment wise, it is quite poorly maintained for a 6 year old building. The ventilation not working or not working well and the drainage sinks in the bathroom. Aircon system not cold if even if it was set to 16c at different mode. The worse was the unit we stayed(4801) had a power failure in the middle of the night(1am)on the 2nd last night(3 Dec 2025). Called the reception and the service staff came to check. He was not a technician, he had to called the technician to check what happened. After to and for about 30 mins, we were told to move to another room. The staff did offer some help to move the things for us but we need some time to pack and to wake up the elderly and children, so we will move over ourselves when we were done. It was another room at the other concert about 20 m away. There were 3 family suites and 3 smaller room at this level. We managed to move over at about 230am, it took us another 45 mins before we were able to get back to sleep. It was about 330am. Everyone were tired and woke up late that morning. The room(4805) was slightly smaller and the same ventilation and aircon issue we faced in the previous room. The furnitures were not properly maintained as well. Room TV was not working due to power point issue, dinning table unstable and cause my drinks to spill, master bedroom doors were faulty(same for the previous room).

Overall, the stay was quite disappointing for a 5 stars residence managed by reputable Ascott hotel. There was no apology and we were not told what had happened that night. The hotel managers treated this incident like very normal and nothing had happened. 

FYI. The hotel breakfast was not amazing. The coffee machine hardly maintained when is full or empty of water. The coffee doesn't taste good either. The table was not clean probably either probably due to shortage of staffs. The employees of the companies in this building will have their breakfast in the restaurant as well. Maybe the Chinese restaurant offer nicer breakfast and service. We tried the Chinese restaurant noodle for lunch on the first day, not too bad.

I recently traveled and had an absolutely fantastic experience at this hotel! Its prime location in the city center was a huge plus, with malls, restaurants, and tourist spots all conveniently located within a few minutes' walk. Getting around was incredibly convenient.

Upon entering the room, I was immediately impressed. It was spacious, bright, and tastefully decorated in a minimalist yet stylish way. Everything was impeccably clean, and the bedding was incredibly soft and comfortable – it felt like sleeping on a cloud, ensuring a deep and restful sleep every night. The bathroom featured a convenient wet and dry separation, and the toiletries were of good quality. The attention to detail throughout was truly impressive.

The service at the hotel was simply outstanding. From the warm welcome I received from the staff at the front desk during check-in to their prompt and efficient handling of any requests throughout my stay, I felt genuinely cared for. The breakfast spread was extensive, offering both Western and Chinese options, and everything tasted delicious – a perfect way to start an energetic day.

Overall, this hotel offers excellent value for money. It's perfect for both business travelers and leisure tourists, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to everyone! I'll definitely be choosing this hotel again on my next visit to the area!
