This hotel is super close to the MRT station, which makes getting to the airport a breeze. There are tons of food options nearby too. The room itself isn't huge, but it's spotless and really well-maintained. For a stay in Singapore, this place offers great value for money.

Room size was so small (that’s typical in SG), but sufficient if you plan to be out the whole day and just come back to sleep. Elevators took so much time (up to 15 minutes wait) especially if there’s a crowd. Stayed for over 5 nights but the sheets weren’t changed :/

The stay was pretty good, although the room was a bit small. It was nicely decorated when I checked in, and the front desk staff could speak Chinese, so communication was seamless. The staff there were all really nice. Plus, there's drinking water available, and a convenience store downstairs, which was very handy. This hotel also didn't require a power adapter.

In general, the room was pretty convenient and clean. However, there are few parts that were not cleaned properly and a little bit dusty. The headboards and the chair were a little bit dusty. Then, I noticed there was a bunch of ants on the desk when checking in

Value Hotel Thompson Singapore is an average place to stay for a short trip. The room is basic and acceptable for the price. However, there were some issues during the stay. The toilet door could not be locked, which was inconvenient. The sink drainage was slow and the water did not go down properly. The walls seem to be made of plywood, so noise from the next room could be clearly heard when people were talking. Overall, it is okay for budget travelers, but improvements are needed for comfort and privacy.

I checked in late at night, and the staff was very welcoming. Although the room was small, it had everything I needed. I couldn't hear any noise from the neighboring rooms, only an occasional sound from the hallway, which didn't disturb my rest. There was no need for a power adapter in the room, and it even had a direct drinking water tap. During our stay, the cleaner was a Chinese guy named Xingxing, and he was very responsible and excellent every day!

The hotel is just a short walk from the subway station, and a bus stop is around the corner, making it very convenient to get to the airport. Across the street from the hotel, there's a bubble tea shop, a food court, and a supermarket, so everything you need is easily accessible. If you walk in the other direction, you'll find Ya Kun Kaya Toast and Ah Chew Desserts not too far away, which offer amazing food! For sightseeing, you can even walk to attractions if you don't mind, it's a great way to explore.

I feel this hotel offers the best value for money in Singapore!

Hello readers, visited a few days ago this Hotel 81 Gold, it's in the Geylang Lor 20, just opposite to Hotel 81 Lucky.

The location for me who loves to drink and dine with the locals was perfectly fine as restos are open till 2 am.

The people are friendly and helpful and the hotel staff was excellent I'll name them, CJ, Aida, Salma and Zai they were all were doing their job wonderfully at the front desk.

The hotel was very clean as per Singaporean standards, at first I thgt I've made a mistake hurrying up while booking this hotel as they done serve meals, but I came to know why, as restaurants were just a stones throw away.

Indian, Chinese, Thai all types of cuisine were available nearby with provision stores, ATMs, medical stores, and a lot of other stuff for all ages.

I'll urge you to check for Hotel 81 it's in budget and clean, the nearest Metro is Al Juneid, I'll urge you to travel by metro, easier faster and cheaper.

Love to Singapore and Singaporeans

The hotel was in a good location in one of the most beautiful streets with lots of restaurants and street food. Loved the location a lot. The staff at the hotel were very nice and accommodating , good communication skills. The only issue we encountered was the shower liking and the water flooding everywhere, the offered us another room but all the showers where the same apart from that everything was great cant complain much.

My brother's family enjoyed as hotel Cleanliness is maintained. Located I'm a busy area With nearby bus stop and MRT.
My only frustration is they are unable to change the date since there's a major changes I didn't even asks for refund. I am begging them to change the date or modify the date and timing for changes Is not peak season.
Being unconsiderate with reasonable reasons will affect the trust and loyalty between the hotel and guests.
I have emailed, called the 3rd party I booked this hotel they gave me a hard time too.

Location is good, near the main road of Geylang. Though transport system is not a lot at this area. A lot of ******** nearby but for the price point, can’t complain much. Not a lot of toiletries in the room. There is potable tap water but no hand soap. The room is small and functional. Clean and updated. Beds are on the smaller side but all in all, a good budget hotel.

It is similar to a B&B apartment. It seems to be newly opened in 2024. Its location is relatively remote. Entering from a small road, the navigation can hardly find the door. The interior of the room is relatively simple. A deposit of 200 baht is required at the front desk. Two sandwiches are given for breakfast. , 2 bottles of Coke are provided for free in the refrigerator in the room. There is a 7-11 convenience store 500 meters next to it, and the environment is very quiet.

The triple room is particularly worth it. It is a suite. There is a bed outside, two beds in the inner room, and the bathroom is very large and clean. Although there are no windows, it will not be stuffy at all.
