Hotels in Central Athens

"The hotel is nice and clean, in a run down part of town but easy to commute to most attractions. Family suit had enough room for a family of four. Breakfast is fine, but lucks variety - same selection everyday.  Wasn’t best pleased to be charged €2.50 per tea bag, these things are in the room in other 4* hotels. Nikos was amazing at reception, very much well-coming  and his suggestions for restaurants and Island visit was much appreciated, thanks!"

"I was a little concerned about the location based on some of the reviews I read, but it was convenient and felt safe. I am always a little wary of keypad entry places as opposed to keys, but it worked fine. I also thought it would be self check-in, but they do have someone at reception to help. The shower head was a little wonky, but other than that, great stay!"

"I was unfortunately woken up multiple times during the night—around 2am, 4am, and 6am—by the loud slamming of doors, followed by a long struggle to fall back asleep due to someone snoring heavily in the next bed. I understand that hostels are budget-friendly and I don’t want to complain too much, but for a place meant to provide guests with rest, I really don’t understand why both the room door and the shared bathroom door (just across the corridor) are designed to close with such loud noise. If your bed happens to be near the door, you’ll need an exceptionally good sleep tolerance. The bathroom and shower area were also quite cramped, and the sink wasn’t very clean. Plus, the elevator looked a bit unsettling and made me hesitate every time I used it."

"We stayed here for a short city break and found the hotel to be basic but clean — for the price, we really couldn’t complain. The highlight was definitely the pool area and rooftop bar, which were perfect for relaxing in the afternoon after a morning of sightseeing. The surrounding area wasn’t the most picturesque, but this seemed fairly typical across Athens until you reached the more touristy parts near the Acropolis. That said, I always felt safe walking around. The main attractions were about a 30-minute walk away, or just a £5 Uber ride. There was a metro station close by, though we didn’t end up using it. Overall, a solid budget-friendly option with great rooftop views and a laid-back vibe."

"We had an incredible stay at Acropolis Magenta Luxury Suites! The staff was extremely attentive and made our check-in extra special by surprising us with champagne for my girlfriend’s birthday. The location is perfect, making it easy to explore the area, and everything was spotless. The service was outstanding, and the amenities were top-notch. Highly recommend for a romantic getaway"

"Very very good landlord! The whole journey became extraordinarily smooth and warm because of his intentions. The landlord is particularly enthusiastic, not only patiently answering various questions throughout the whole process, but also personally helping us book ferry tickets, making the trip extremely worry-free. On the day of arrival, the landlord was very considerate to let us check in in advance, and allowed us to check out late when we left. This intimateness is really moving. The location of the house is very convenient, and it is very convenient to travel to attractions, supermarkets or restaurants. The house is fully equipped with home appliances. It is very comfortable to live in and has a feeling of ”going home”. The overall environment is clean and tidy, and the details are also very careful. I was really satisfied with this stay. I was lucky to meet such a warm and thoughtful landlord. I will definitely choose this next time I come here! Highly recommend to everyone!"
