The hotel I stayed in during my time in Cologne was generally a decent, practical choice, with no major flaws, but also a few surprises. The location was convenient, about a five-minute walk from the nearby bus stop. Tourist attractions like Cologne Cathedral and the Old Town are easily accessible by public transportation or taxi. Small supermarkets and small eateries are nearby, making daily groceries and meals convenient. The room was of moderate size, spacious enough for a single occupancy but a bit cramped for a double. The furniture and furnishings showed some signs of use, but were generally clean and tidy, and the bedding was perfectly soft, ensuring a pleasant sleep. The bathroom had a nice, dry/wet area with a reliable hot water supply. The toiletries were basic, but those with skincare needs are advised to bring their own. Regarding service, the front desk staff were friendly, efficient, and helpful. Check-in and check-out were both prompt and helpful. They patiently answered questions about directions to attractions, but they didn't proactively offer any extra touches (such as local recommendations or extended luggage storage). Breakfast is a simple buffet with basic items like bread, ham, eggs, coffee, and juice. The taste is quite satisfactory and can satisfy your hunger, but those who seek a richer meal may find it a bit monotonous. Overall, if you are looking for convenient travel in Cologne and a good value accommodation, this hotel meets basic needs and is suitable for travelers who value practicality over luxury.

Facilities: The hotel is quite old, and the elevator is tiny, full of vintage charm. The main issue was the bathroom: there's no floor drain, so after showering, the whole bathroom was flooded. Cleanliness: The cleanliness was decent. Environment: It's not far from the station and there are plenty of good places to eat nearby, which is convenient. Service: It was alright, nothing special.

Prices were higher during the exhibition. The rooms were connecting, accommodating large families, but the hallways were a bit narrow. However!!! The croissants at breakfast were the most unforgettable food of our trip! Freshly served hot, they were so delicious!! Even our elders, who don't like bread, kept talking about how good they were!! If a hotel can make you remember something, then it's a success.

Great service and clean rooms, pretty much the same room type throughout. The overall design is quite minimalist with large windows, though the weather in Germany was a bit chilly during my stay. Still, it was a good experience. I stayed here for several days, and it offers great value for money. Highly recommended! You can ask the staff for hot water. Also, check-in is after 3 PM.

It's very beautiful and new, far from Cologne station, so that's perfect. However, there are no slippers in the amenities, so it is more relaxing to bring them with you.

Had a lovely stay, the staff were extremely helpful and accommodating. We requested a room close to the elevator and they gave us a spacious one just as we asked. The location is fantastic, especially if you're visiting during the Christmas market season; everything is within walking distance. The only downsides were the weak internet connection, so it’s better to have your own data plan if you rely on being online, and bed sheets are only changed upon request. Overall, still a pleasant experience and would recommend for the location, helpful staff and lovely spacious rooms!

Facilities: Basic toiletries were provided, and the room had decent soundproofing, making for a quiet night's sleep. Environment: The hotel is conveniently located not far from the train station and city center, about a fifteen-minute walk, which makes getting around easy. It's also quiet as it's not directly in the bustling downtown area.

Excellent hotel, just a 2-minute walk from the metro. You can reach Cologne Cathedral in about 20 minutes on foot. The staff at the hotel are very pleasant, and they even let me check in early. The breakfast was superb, the mattress was great, but I had some issues with the pillows. Also, there were some concerns regarding soundproofing, though it's possible I just had very noisy neighbors.

The hotel facilities are excellent, especially the bed – it was incredibly comfortable to sleep on. Waking up to the sound of the Cologne Cathedral bells right outside the window was truly wonderful. Its close proximity to the train station makes it very convenient for transportation.

The Dorint hotel is in a very central location with wonderful views of the cathedral. The staff were very professional (from pre-trip communication to check-in and check-out) and super friendly. The hotel is huge and has lifts to all floors. The room was large with ample furniture (larger bed than usual, built-in suitcase stand, full desk, armchair) and the decor a palimpsest of older furniture zhuzhed up with wall coverings, a decorative vase, floor lights in addition to bedside table lamps and desk light, etc. There was even a kettle to make tea and coffee, and a fridge, which was much appreciated! The bed was on the soft side and the pillows rather thin and fluffy, which was not quite to my liking. However, the blackout curtains and well-insulated windows made for a quiet night's sleep, despite the roads and building sites outside. It was still possible to open one window to let fresh air in. All in all, a very good experience.
