The hotel has no elevator and for travellers with large suitcases is a big disaster.
No fridge and hot water kettle equipped is not guest conveniently.
The sink is located at the corridor of the room entry , water splashes to the ground.
The recycle bin is terribly small, hardly to put things inside(Photo attached)

There is nothing wrong with the hotel itself. It is clean and comfortable. The location is not great - nothing at all around and about unless you have a car. This is clearly a hotel which accommodates contractors, which makes it even more important to ensure that customers are notified that they cannot have any food in the evening. As contact details are taken at the time of booking it would have been decent to let people know. There is no excuse, apparently ,there had been problems for days with the IT. Seemingly nothing wrong with the kitchen, just the computer system.
On check out absolutely no one about to ask any questions.

Okay the room wasn’t the best cleaned i must say. Because there was a contact lens trash on the bathroom floor. But overall it was a good hotel for its price. Breakfast is normally better at double tree hotels with jam in little canned glass which is better quality but this hotel lacked it. Other than that the location is definitely something to be kept in mind. It takes approximately 50 minutes to go to the center with m1 or t1 bus. But on a Sunday those busses run on either 20 or 30 min intervals so it’s quite a bit of a hassle. I didnt try the pool or the gym but they looked good i must say. What i also found a bit annoying is that i got my room at exactly 3pm.. it wasn’t ready before but it’s a luck issue.

Everything was fine in Hotel except we had been given an interconnecting room, which we didn't require. The people in the connecting room were trying to open the door through. When we did highlight the issue to reception, they gave us a different room which was great. There was no phone in the bedroom, so we had to walk to reception with any queries etc

I stayed at the Holiday Inn Bristol-Filton with my family for an extended weekend trip, and overall, it was a comfortable and relaxing experience. The hotel is located just outside Bristol city centre, so it’s perfect if you’re driving or want somewhere quiet after a busy day. It’s close to the M32 and A4174, which makes access pretty easy, though it’s not ideal if you’re relying on buses or taxis every day.
The check-in process was smooth and the staff were genuinely friendly with warm smiles, quick service, and happy to help with local directions. The lobby and common areas look recently refurbished, clean, and welcoming. You can tell that the hotel is well-maintained.
The room was spacious, tidy, and had everything I needed: a comfortable bed, crisp sheets, and good soundproofing for a peaceful night’s sleep. The bathroom was spotless with decent toiletries provided. The only slight downside was that the air-conditioning took a while to cool the room, but once it kicked in, it worked fine. Wi-Fi was stable and fast enough for streaming and work calls.
The breakfast buffet was excellent. There were plenty of hot and cold options, including fresh pastries, eggs, sausages, cereals, and fruits. Staff were attentive in topping things up and clearing tables quickly. I also tried dinner at the on-site restaurant one evening; the food was good, though a bit pricey for the portion sizes. There’s also a bar area that stays open late, which is nice for a quiet drink in the evening.
The leisure facilities are a bonus with a decent-sized indoor pool, a gym, and a sauna, all clean and well-kept. Families seemed to enjoy the space, and it never felt overcrowded. There’s also plenty of outdoor green space around the hotel, which gives it a more relaxed, countryside feel even though you’re still close to the city.
Parking is available on site, though it’s not free but it’s highly subsidised something to be aware of before arriving. The signs could be clearer about payment, but once you know, it’s straightforward.
In summary, Holiday Inn Bristol-Filton is a solid, comfortable, and family-friendly hotel that offers good value for money if you don’t mind staying a bit outside the city centre. Ideal for business travellers, road-trippers, or families who want peace and quiet with easy access to Bristol.
Would definitely stay again when I’m in the area.

Amazing
DDarrenwiltThe hotel was very central so parking wasn't great. We had to park in a multi-storey car park which wasn't ideal. The main good points was that the staff were exceptional. Always friendly, always smiling. Congratulations to all the staff on this. I felt the hotel had a friendly, hostel feel, with a pool table in the lobby/bar area. Would definitely recommend to people on Leisure trips. I was on a business trip so the rooms were a little dark, which made it difficult. The beds were very comfy and I had a great night sleep. Thankyou to all the staff for making us so welcome
GGuest UserFront Desk Staff was Excellent - I raised a concern when a member of Miller & Carter Restaurant said the main restaurant was closing this was at 2045 and she tried and confined us to a table not of our choice we advised if that was the only table she could offer then we would not dine there - there was 3 of us.
I informed the young lady at the front desk and she was understood and said she will speak as the restaurant was not closed.
I like the Grand Marriott it’s one of my Favourite Hotel the point above is not a negative review it’s to reiterate the Hotel Staff look after there Guests and are good listeners.
JJourneyman TravellerArrived about 10pm due to a delayed flight. The young man on reception was courteous and polite. After hearing my tale of woe about my day, he immediately upgraded my room, something which I thoroughly appreciated.
My stay was relatively short, but in the ten hours I spent there, all staff were polite, efficient and approachable.
I'm a fairly hardy solo traveller, so speaking for myself, the location was fine, a five minutes walk from Bristol Bus Station.
All in all, a pleasant stay, no complaints.
DDivsb⭐ Amazing Stay at Double Tree by Hilton Bristol City Centre ⭐
I had an incredible experience staying at Double Tree by Hilton. From the moment I arrived, the staff were warm, welcoming, and went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable.
The room was spotless, spacious, and beautifully designed, with all the amenities I needed. The bed was extremely comfortable, and I loved waking up to the stunning views from my window.
The breakfast was fantastic — a great selection of fresh, delicious options to start the day right. And I have to mention, their cookies are just amazing — freshly baked, perfectly sweet, and absolutely irresistible which you get at the reception when you check in!
The location was perfect — close to the city center and train station, making it easy to explore the city.
Overall, I highly recommend Double Tree by Hilton Bristol City Centre for anyone visiting Bristol. I can’t wait to come back on my next trip and hope to stay at the same hotel😍!!
GGuest UserWe were greet by lovely young lady room was good size but no where to hanger our wet coats or drawers for underwear and socks
Coffee at breakfast wasn’t very tasty it was very bitter
Fridge was not a fridge it didn’t keep anything cool it was warm
Stain on chair and when I stripped the bed when I was leave to stain
NNataliechyUnbeatable location! Just a 5-minute walk from Temple Meads Station, making it the perfect base for exploring Bristol. For such a central spot, the price is fantastic — offering high-quality, modern comfort without the expensive city-center price tag. Truly excellent value for a prime location. Highly recommended!
GGuest UserA comfortable enough stay at the Future Inn. Though our room was a bit noisy from constant traffic outside on busy multi lane road. We had requested a room facing the rear but one may not have been available - though we remarked that the hotel did not seem busy.We appreciated the easy parking arrangements. And the buffet breakfast was well above average for this type of hotel. On a previous stay our room was showing definite signs of wear and tear, but on this occasion we thought the standard of decor etc was a little higher. Would stay again if we could do so for a fair price.
GGuest UserWhilst this hotel is in a busy location, it has discounted NCP parking, excellent facilities and great rooms. Service was excellent and the Executive Lounge and breakfasts were excellent. Clean, modern and well maintained. Great price too.
VVegan in ChinaPositives: Really cozy guesthouse in a perfect central location in St Nicolas Market. Lots of shops, bars and restaurants nearby, and easy access by walking or public transit to all locations. Beds were very comfy, it was hard to get out of them in the morning 😆. Room was clean, and coffee, tea and biscuits provided as well as toiletry essentials. It also had some hostel vibes with boardgames and books to pick up and read.
Negatives: Wifi in our room was terrible, so I needed to do work in the dining area (but there are lots of tables and it's quiet). It was fairly quiet, but you can sometimes hear neighbours through the walls or rowdy students at the pubs if you leave the window open. Would also appreciate vegan options for breakfast 👀 if possible.
Overall very good value and would come stay again!
GGuest UserWe had the loveliest time here the staff were so lovely and friendly. It was about a 30 minute walk into town and if you are travelling into town at rush hour walking is the best way as the traffic was pretty bad.
The room we stayed in was beautiful and clean and tidy and we were blown away by the service from the staff it really was lovely infact I was shocked to find they were part of a group and not independent as it felt the kind of service you would get from an independent. The bar and restaurants were lovely and the building was so beautiful inside and out we had a really lovely stay toiletries were provided and they smelt beautiful. thanks so much we had a lovely time.
