"Excellent stay, though the room was a bit small. The hotel lobby is clean and bright, the luggage storage area is well-organized, and the marble front desk has a high-quality feel. The overall atmosphere is warm and comfortable, and the service is very attentive. It was a great experience."

"I booked a single room this time. It was a typical small Japanese room, not very spacious, with an ordinary street view outside the window, but the soundproofing was good. There were quite a few foreign guests staying there, and the hotel has a public bath. Toiletries can be picked up from the 1F lobby after check-in. There's an ice machine, but no public microwave; however, you can ask the front desk staff to help heat things up if needed. The location is pretty good. It's about a 15-minute walk to Mikane Shrine, and the quaint streets around are nice for a leisurely stroll. There are also convenience stores and 24-hour supermarkets nearby; both FRESCO and Life are good for browsing, not far from each other, and they have discounted items in the evenings with a wide variety of products. It's close to the subway (Karasuma Oike) and there are also bus options, making it quite convenient to get to various attractions around Kyoto. My 4-night stay this time was quite pleasant overall!"

"The hotel met my expectations; the facilities and services were good. The self-checkout was quick and easy. The only reason I'm not giving a full score is because I left a banana peel and hoped it would be taken out the next morning, so I put up the 'change towels' magnet. However, when I returned in the evening, there was a bag outside my door with fresh towels, but no one had actually entered the room, so the trash wasn't removed."

"After landing in Osaka, I took the Hello Kitty train directly to Kyoto Station. From there, I transferred to the Karasuma Line for two stops and exited from exit 4 (which has an elevator 🛗). Upon exiting, there's a 7-Eleven on the left, and the hotel is just a 2-minute walk further, up a long hallway to the second floor. The service in Kyoto is always excellent. I was able to find a good price before the May Day holiday. I've stayed at Mitsui before, but the location here is even better, with bus stops closer. Kiyomizu-dera, Arashiyama, and Kinkaku-ji are all just one stop away. The breakfast is traditional Kyoto style, light and delicious, and the elderly ladies serving were very polite. The front desk also provides a wide variety of toiletries."

"I recently stayed at this hotel in Kyoto and overall had a wonderful experience. The room itself was generally clean, comfortable, and provided a relaxing space after a long day of sightseeing.The highlight of my stay was definitely the breakfast. The buffet offered a great selection, especially the freshly made onigiri and the delicious local obanzai (traditional Kyoto-style side dishes) which tasted fantastic. Additionally, all of the staff members were incredibly friendly, helpful, and welcoming throughout our visit.The only disappointing part of our stay was the cleanliness of the bathroom. It appeared that a previous guest had trimmed their beard, leaving a lot of short hairs all over the sink. Worse, there were hairs left on top of the plastic rinsing cups provided for brushing teeth. It was clear this area had been missed during housekeeping.Despite the housekeeping oversight in the bathroom, the excellent service, delicious breakfast, and comfortable room made it a good stay. We would definitely like to stay here again in the future."

"Room is relatively big comparing some other hotels. We were able to open two big suitcase without closing the walking path in the room which is very good thing. The pillows were ergonomic and everything in the room was super clean Location is amazing. It is walking distance to main shopping street. Also there is 24 hour open convenience store the other side of the street. There is also bus stops next to the hotel which makes it easy to travel around the cit"

"The facilities seem brand new and the hotel has a lot of character. However, the air conditioner's filter needs cleaning; it's already showing an overload warning. I hope the hotel sees this message. It would be perfect if breakfast was included."

"Beyond my expectations, this is a fantastic hotel, small yet exquisite. They offer a complimentary drink every day, which is perfect for enjoying a quiet evening away from the hustle and bustle. The public bath is incredibly clean; I had it all to myself for two out of my three-day stay, which was wonderfully relaxing. I'll definitely be back!"

"The hotel's location is pretty good: it's about a 5-minute walk from Shijo Subway Station, Exit 6, though you do have to cross a traffic light. There's also a gas station right next to the hotel! If you're a woman with heavy luggage, I wouldn't really recommend it! There's no elevator at the Shijo Station exit, so you'll have to carry your luggage up quite a few stairs. Room: It was quite spacious, even bigger than I expected. There was enough room to open up a large suitcase. Environment: The only downside was a slight smell in the bathroom! It seemed to be a drain odor, which can't really be helped. But it was still tolerable, I suppose! Depends on the person... On the 4th floor, there's a microwave, an ice machine, and vending machines! Very convenient! Service: Self-service toiletries are available to the right of the front desk on the first floor."

"The location is super convenient, with a Lawson convenience store and many popular influencer restaurants nearby. The ladies and gentlemen at the hotel front desk were all very friendly. It seems like both the guests and the cleaning staff are Japanese, which made me feel very secure! Next time I come to Kyoto, as long as there's a room available here, I'll definitely stay again."
