Hotels near Guro Station, Seoul

"Highly recommended if you're traveling solo! Although it stated that the hotel was newly opened, it felt more like a renovated property to me. The area around the hotel is quiet, but it's incredibly well-located with a department store, convenience store, Mega Coffee, Starbucks, and Subway right nearby, and the subway station is directly in front. The department store has ARTBOX7, Olive Young, Daiso, a supermarket in the basement, Baskin Robbins, Gong Cha, and more. The room is small but compact and has all the essentials. The TV supports YouTube and Netflix. It was great that the TV was positioned perfectly for viewing from the bed, so I could watch while lying down. There's no kettle in the room, so you'll need to go to the common area on the second floor. There, you'll find a water dispenser (for hot and cold water) and a microwave. Shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, and towels are provided, but most other amenities are not. As you might know since it's Korea, remember to bring your own toothbrush, etc. I only found one power outlet, which was for the hairdryer. Also, the cleaning staff were all incredibly kind and friendly. They'd often be in the hallway when I was leaving my room and would greet me with a smile, asking, 'Would you like your room cleaned?' As a result, my room was cleaned every night of my stay. P.S. It seems the nearest subway station is under construction, as there are only stairs to get from the platform to the exit. They're quite steep, so if you have a large suitcase, please be careful. Also, trains going to Sindorim depart from two separate platforms (Platform 1 and 2). It's best to check the timetable before going down the stairs to see if your desired train will arrive at that specific platform."

"Cleanliness: The room was very clean, and the cleaning staff did a great job over my three-day stay, tidying everything up neatly and even folding our clothes. Environment: The hotel's surroundings are quite nice, with a convenient store right across the street 🏪. Service: The front desk staff were warm and welcoming, and the housekeeping was excellent. Facilities: The room size was decent, and the amenities provided were all good quality. The hotel breakfast was also quite good and worth recommending. The only downside is that it's a bit of a walk from the subway station."

"The hotel's location is excellent, right in the heart of Guro's vibrant nightlife. It's a bit of a walk to the subway station, but very close to bus stops, and the airport shuttle stops right in front of the main entrance. The room itself was clean, tidy, and tastefully decorated. The front desk staff, as others have mentioned, weren't overly friendly, but they were efficient and provided standard, satisfactory service. I suppose they just aren't the smiling type, which is no big deal. Overall, everything was quite good, and I recommend staying here."

"Location: First time staying in Yeongdeungpo; it's a short walk from the airport limousine bus stop so that was convenient. There's a Starbucks and C U convenience store right outside the hotel. YDP station and Lotte Department Store are a short walk away, though I recommend taking a short bus ride to the Hyundai Department Store. It's also near the Yeouido Hangang Park. Room: Layout is a little strange as other reviewers have noted, and indeed there's very little space to open your suitcase. I placed mine at the wardrobe area, which meant it was a little difficult to access the clothes I hung up. I liked the two couches against the window. Toilet: The sink is the first thing you see when you enter the room. I didn't like how the shower and toilet shared a door, and there's no bidet for the toilet. Water pressure and temperature control for both the rain shower and handheld shower were good. Bed: Fairly comfy, however it was the first time I've ever experienced a creaky hotel bed. Miscellaneous: Might be a minor thing for most but the room slippers were a joke...the top part was literally paper and difficult to slip on and off because of the way the paper was folded. Fridge was small and not very cold but did its job. Lobby is small and only has one seating area, so it's not a place to chill or wait around long. Staff were friendly, and I was allowed to check in slightly earlier than 3pm. Checkout was fuss-free."

"The room was very new, and the bed was super comfortable with light and soft duck down duvets and pillows. Having an air purifier in the room was a refreshing touch. For breakfast, it was mainly Korean food; while there were other options, the variety wasn't extensive. In terms of location, it's very close to Guro and Sindorim subway stations. There are plenty of convenience stores and restaurants nearby, but no large shopping malls."

"Had a very pleasant stay at Shilla Stay Guro. The hotel is not located in the main tourist area, but that's actually not a problem. There is a Subway Line 2/Green station right across the street, making it easy to get to central Seoul. One of the highlights of the neighborhood is Boramae Park, which is just a short walk away and is a wonderful place to relax, take a walk, or simply sit and read a book. The service was excellent. Sophia, Chloe, and the gentleman working at the front desk on Friday (10 July) afternoon—I assume those are their English names, as shown on their name tags—made both the check-in and check-out processes smooth and efficient. The housekeeping team did an excellent job keeping the room clean and tidy every day. The breakfast restaurant hosts throughout my stay from July 6 to July 10 were also consistently welcoming and friendly. The hotel itself is clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The room is on the smaller side, but it is functional and has everything needed for a comfortable stay. My only suggestion is that the room photos on Trip.com should better match the actual room. The room I stayed in had a different layout and setup from the one shown in the booking photos, which created different expectations before arrival. Updating the photos to reflect the actual room would make the listing more accurate for future guests. Overall, I had a great experience and would happily stay here again."

"J'y suis restée une nuit, car j'avais un événement pas trop loin. Très gentils à l'accueil, ils ont pu me garder mes bagages car la chambre n'était accessible qu'à 21h00. Comme je l'avais supposé, cet hôtel est prévu pour des ”nuits mouvementées” 😅, malgré tout il n'y avait pas de bruit et j'ai pu dormir tranquillement. Voyageuse solo, ça ne m'a pas posé de soucis."

"The bathroom was quite spacious and very clean, which we really appreciated. Both the room and the hallway had a pleasant scent, which brightened our mood daily. The room included a mini-fridge, and in the common area, there was a microwave, disposable cups, and some small cookies. Check-in and check-out were self-service and very convenient, with Chinese language options available. The street downstairs had many restaurants, and the two we tried were both delicious."

"The toilet and bathroom weren't inside the room, but rather a separate, private bathroom. Although it was private, the room and bathroom itself faced a shared floor, so whenever I needed to use the bathroom or toilet, it felt a bit awkward if someone was on the shared floor. I'd wait until no one was around before going for a bath. The room itself was clean and spacious, and the hotel staff were very helpful, so that was the only downside. I think it would be better if the description was clearer when booking."
