"It was exactly as pictured, including its small size. The location is fantastic. You can walk to Gwanghwamun Square in just a short distance. During my stay, I went to Gwanghwamun Square many times while resting in my room. It's clean, probably because it's new. The staff were also very helpful. I especially recommend it for those on a short trip."

"The location was fantastic, making it super convenient to get around. The room was surprisingly spacious and clean. My room, unlike what some other reviews mentioned, had absolutely no sewage smell; both the room and bathroom smelled pleasant. However, the bathroom was indeed small, but I got used to it quickly, and it wasn't a big issue. There was no bottled water in the fridge, but there was a water dispenser in the common area, offering not just water but also tea, coffee, and even instant noodles. By the way, towels and trash disposal were self-service. It might be a bit cramped for two people, but for a solo traveler, it's perfectly spacious. You can even open up your suitcase. Plus, there was not only a fridge but also a freezer. I think it's plenty spacious for a solo trip. However, the walls are thin, so you might hear noise from the next room. Also, there's a karaoke bar downstairs, so if you're sensitive to noise, weekends might be a bit bothersome. I personally wasn't too bothered and slept well. I'd love to stay here again. One small suggestion: it would be great if they could provide more keys for luggage storage."

"It’s a boutique-sized hotel, but the location, interior design, in-room amenities, and service were all outstanding. First off, the location is fantastic. It’s convenient for getting around and not far from most major attractions. Plus, it's right near Gwangjang Market, a lively spot packed with all kinds of authentic local street food, which was super convenient. The decor features a modern industrial vibe, decorated with photos of various jazz bands and musicians—very stylish, which I really liked. Even though the room was on the smaller side, the layout was well-thought-out and functional. For instance, the shower had an overhead rainfall head, a handheld sprayer, and smooth hot/cold controls that were easy to switch between. The water pressure was strong and steady, making for a truly refreshing shower. Our room also had a small balcony with a chair and a little round table—a lovely private nook where I ended up writing most of my travel journal. The service was exceptionally warm and welcoming. The day before our trip, we received a thoughtful email letting us know that shampoo, conditioner, and body wash were provided, but to pack essentials like a toothbrush and toothpaste. It was super helpful and allowed me to pack light with peace of mind. For breakfast, they offered three complimentary options for the main item (bagel, panini, or ciabatta), all simple, delicious, and satisfying. The owner and the three staff members were all incredibly friendly. The three staff spoke English, making communication a breeze, and they went out of their way to accommodate our small requests, like lending us a travel adapter and heating up milk for us. Even though the owner didn't speak English, he was super warm and enthusiastic, using gestures to recommend lively nearby spots like Gwangjang Market and Dongdaemun. We spent four wonderful nights here. Next time I'm in Seoul, I’ll definitely stay at Hotel Brooklyn Blues again."

"We had a wonderful stay at this hotel and would definitely consider returning on our next trip. The location is great, just a short walk from the train station and easy to find. There are plenty of pharmacies, convenience stores, and food options nearby, with many restaurants offering delivery even late at night. It is also within walking distance of Gwangjang Market, Cheonggyecheon Stream, and a nearby Sparex sauna and gym. The hotel staff were friendly, approachable, and very helpful throughout our stay. We were especially grateful for the early check-in as we arrived during heavy rain. Housekeeping was provided daily, amenities were replenished generously, and the team even assisted us with our laundry. The room was clean, comfortable, and spacious enough to accommodate two large suitcases with room to move around. There was also a bidet too. We also enjoyed complimentary Americanos provided daily at the cafe on the first floor, which serves other great food and drinks as well. Overall, a comfortable and convenient stay. Will recommend."

"I've stayed at various capsule hotels during my travels, but this is definitely the one that left me the most satisfied! 🌸 First of all, the capsule design is unlike anything I've ever seen before—so refreshing. I was genuinely amazed that I could fully open my suitcase right inside the capsule. Plus, there's enough space to take your time doing your makeup in the morning, making it an absolute dream for female solo travelers. What really impressed me was the soundproofing. Usually, you tend to be hyper-aware of noise in capsule hotels, but here, I hardly heard a peep from the neighbors. With the thoughtfully provided earplugs, it transforms into your own completely undisturbed private sanctuary. The shared lounge is also spacious and airy, making it super comfortable to relax in. I loved it so much overall that I'm planning to check out another akastay hotel tomorrow. A hotel that truly shines with thoughtful touches—I will definitely be coming back!"

"To be honest, the hotel was better than expected. Facilities: Since it's newly renovated, all the facilities and equipment are very new. Cleanliness: The room was very clean, with no strange odors. Environment: The subway entrance is right in front of the hotel, and there are many shops nearby that are great for browsing, making it very convenient. The hotel is quiet despite being in a bustling area. Although there are many outdoor food stalls (dai pai dong) at night, I couldn't hear much noise in the room, so it didn't affect my sleep. (However, if you're a very sensitive sleeper, you might want to be cautious; you can hear a bit of the music from the food stalls. It's not loud, but if you listen closely, it's quite noticeable.) For me, after a tiring day of exploring, I'd come back to the hotel, order some takeout, wash up, and fall right asleep, so it was perfectly fine. Service: Polite and patient. They provide paper tips in the corresponding language based on your passport. They always greet you warmly whenever you pass by, and any cleaning requests are promptly handled."

"I was quite satisfied. Seoul hotels are indeed on the pricier side, but this one offers decent value for money. It's about a 1km walk to Myeongdong main street, which is acceptable. The subway station is right next door, so it's really close. The overall layout is well-designed; we could open two large suitcases in the just-over-20-square-meter space. It comes with a washer-dryer combo, microwave, induction cooktop, pots and oil, and even tableware. If you plan on cooking, you'll need to bring your own dish soap, and there's no laundry detergent for the washing machine. The refrigerator is very large. Housekeeping was also quite prompt. The only thing I was unhappy with was the showerhead in the bathroom; the water pressure was too strong and it wouldn't stay in place, feeling like it was just hitting me.😅"

"Great location and friendly service. Arrived a little earlier than the official check-in time and, to my surprise, the staff allowed check in 30 minutes early. It was a small gesture, but it really made a difference and was greatly appreciated. The hotel is also in a good location, with easy access to nearby attractions and transport. Overall, a very pleasant experience."

"Excellent location! It's just a short walk from Jongno 3-ga subway station. There are tons of convenience stores nearby (GS25, CU, 7-Eleven, you name it!) and plenty of restaurants, including some great options for solo diners. You'll also find a lot of bars and cafes. The location is a little tucked away, which makes it surprisingly quiet. I arrived quite late, so I emailed them beforehand and received a very detailed and patient reply. If it weren't for all the K-pop fans lately making it hard to book consecutive nights, I would definitely have stayed longer. The transportation is super convenient, and there's Tapgol Park nearby for a stroll. It's also close to many other attractions. Cleanliness: Very clean and tidy. Facilities: The common areas are well-equipped. The room has a mini-fridge, and the bathroom has a wet/dry separation, with slippers thoughtfully placed right at the entrance, and a floor mat. Service: They have local travel guides available for reference (I've included a picture of the guide). When I checked out, I met a very warm and polite Korean lady. I just love the vibe here! There's a restaurant on the street outside that serves amazing beef bone soup noodles, and a set meal with grilled meat. I forgot to take a picture of the name, but the auntie there speaks good English and provides fantastic service!"

"The exterior is rather dark, so you might wonder about the interior, but it was clean and tidy. The bed and bathroom were also clean, so I think they do a good job of cleaning. The staff were also very kind for a budget hotel overseas, and they were happy to clean and change bed sheets and towels even during my extended stay if I asked. They even gave me slippers when I asked. The room was just the right size, and the double-paned windows provided good ventilation and made me feel secure about the security. It was inexpensive, clean, and conveniently located near transportation and shops, making it very practical. I recommend it."
