"I already knew this hotel, which is why I returned, but there are ongoing renovations, and it wasn't ideal to wake up to the sounds of workers at 8:30 AM. Furthermore, the building is under renovation, so the windows face scaffolding. The cleanliness wasn't as impeccable as previous stays, but it remains a top choice due to its location and spacious rooms."
"The hostel is conveniently located, with a bus stop just a two to three-minute walk away. It's also not far from the Van Gogh Museum and the Rijksmuseum, about a ten-minute walk.
The front desk staff are enthusiastic and have a good attitude.
Less positive experiences:
1. The room is quite small; there's hardly any space left after putting down luggage.
2. Cleanliness needs improvement. There were visible dirty marks on the duvet cover (picture 3), many small spots on the carpet (picture 5), and ants on the room walls and bed (picture 7).
3. There is no kettle.
4. The balcony is shared among several rooms (picture 8), and the room has no openable windows. If the balcony door is closed, the air doesn't circulate, but leaving it ajar feels unsafe.
5. Information displayed on the website platform is inconsistent with reality. For example, it shows 'laundry service' (picture 9), but the hostel actually doesn't have a laundry room for guests. They only provide addresses of external laundromats for guests to take their clothes to themselves."
"On arrival at 12.00 midday, we were told the room was ready which we didn’t expect. We were quite excited until we were told we had to pay 30 euro if we wanted to check in then. We said no thanks we’ll come back at 2pm and pay nothing. What a rort!! Never experienced that before!
When we finally got to room it was very nice. Good location. You can either walk 30 min or catch tram into city from down the road."
"The staff member who greeted us upon arrival and check out was pleasant and efficient. Our room was ready even though we arrived before the official check in time, and it was comfortable and well equipped. The room had a lovely view of the canal and one of the windows could be opened to allow for fresh air. The only complaint I have was regarding the coffee maker - the quality was less than impressive. The fire alarm went off in the middle of our last night there, and the staff were a bit frantic and very apologetic as it was a false alarm. The lobby area is bright and comfortable, with extensive areas for lounging and socializing, including a very cozy area with a fireplace. The self-service cafe in the lobby area had good pastries, decent coffee and a limited selection of other snacks."
"A cool stylish hotel with interesting room design and the building itself. Good cosmetic facilities in the bathroom, Smeg teapot 👍, tea set, coffee. The area is beautiful, next to the Van Gogh Museum, near the channels. Enjoyable staff on the respiratory. The room was taken the simplest, but it is very nice with nice stylish details.I'll be happy to stay at this hotel!"
"At first, we were a bit skeptical about the capsules, mainly because of our luggage and the shared bathroom situation. But in the end, the experience totally exceeded our expectations! Even though the capsule itself is small, there's actually more than enough space, even with two 20kg suitcases. And the bed, by the way, was super comfy. The bathrooms and all the facilities in general were very clean. They really thought of everything!"
"Right outside the hotel, you'll find a street with boutique shops, making it super convenient for luxury shopping. The hotel itself is small but charming, and the staff are incredibly friendly. I really appreciated that they printed out a list of services for guests, along with local food recommendations and a map of the area. That was a nice touch! The only minor issue was that the toilet in the room tended to overflow, but other than that, everything else was great."
"The room was small but cozy, perfect for a few nights. The location was fantastic, with bike rentals and a park nearby. The bed and pillows were very comfortable; we slept like babies. We loved everything."
"The location of the room is very good, 300 meters walk to the Van Gogh Museum and the National Museum, next to the park, 100 meters walk is a luxury street, big names. Going to the square and the central station is also walking. The price is good, and it is clean, and the front desk hand-ground coffee is free to drink, which is great."
"The room was great and the environment was really nice, not too far from the city center. However, the breakfast selection was very limited – only steamed buns were available, and there was a long queue for the coffee machine. This definitely needs improvement, as it wasn't a pleasant experience with so many people挤ing together for breakfast. I wouldn't recommend purchasing breakfast here. I do recommend staying at the hotel itself, though."

Great
GGuest UserThe room was spacious and comfortable, the bed was cozy, and the view was great, ensuring a good night's sleep. The staff were warm and attentive, providing excellent service. The hotel's location is superb, offering convenient transportation, and the breakfast selection was extensive.
GGuest UserGreat location and staff, but poor cleanliness
I liked this hotel overall, mainly because of its fantastic location right in the center of Amsterdam. It was extremely convenient for walking around the city, and all the main attractions are very close by. The staff was friendly, multilingual, and helpful with everything. They gave us great recommendations on where to go and even lent us an umbrella for the rain.
Our room on the 4th floor was very spacious, especially by Amsterdam standards. However, the cleanliness was a major disappointment. The room was poorly cleaned: there was a lot of dust, the closets were dirty, and the coffee machine was so filthy that we didn't even want to use it.
My overall impression is not bad, but due to the lack of cleanliness, I would not stay at this hotel again.
GGuest UserThis is a pretty standard luxury hotel, with no major issues. There's a mini-fridge, but it's not cold enough and doesn't come stocked with anything. However, the umbrella is a high-end carbon fiber one, which is quite rare and a nice touch. The bathroom drain had a bit of a problem, probably a clog from hair that needs to be cleaned promptly. My biggest issue, though, was the front desk – they were incredibly slow! Especially during check-out. I've never seen a hotel where you have to wait in line one by one; usually, you just leave your room card and go.

Sitting on the sofa and looking out over the river, watching boats pass by, gave me a peaceful feeling that reminded me of my hometown.
I hope to have even more memorable experiences the next time I stay at Mövenpick.
GGuest UserThe location is about a 10–15 minute walk from Amsterdam Central Station. The check-in desk is located deep inside a bar, which makes it a bit difficult to find. There is no elevator, so guests with heavy luggage should be careful, as carrying bags up the stairs can be inconvenient and unsafe
GGuest UserAmazing hostel location, rooms had spacious bunk beds, mirror and clean toilets and shower room in the room. Just a headups the the travel adapter keeps falling from the socket attached to the bed. So it's easier if you carry power bank or lighter weight travel adapter for charging.
GGuest UserThank you very much for letting us check in early. The room wasn't huge, but it was perfectly functional. The hotel's location is excellent – about a 10-minute walk from the cruise ship terminal and a 5-minute walk from the train station. It's also not far from the meeting points for day tours. You do have to transfer elevators once, but there was basically no waiting time.
Yyuta takaokaI stayed at the Amsterdam Teleport Hotel, located in the western part of Amsterdam. Although it's a bit far from the city center, its affordable price and free parking are huge draws, making it particularly convenient for those traveling by car or planning an extended stay. The exterior is adorned with colorful art, creating a unique and welcoming vibe from the moment you arrive.
The guest rooms are simple and functional, yet the bright color scheme is striking, giving it a more playful feel than your typical business hotel. Some rooms even have a kitchenette, which is a great bonus for self-catering or longer stays. The cleanliness was excellent, and I found it to be a comfortable base for both sightseeing and business trips. The hotel attracts a diverse clientele, from backpackers to families and groups, contributing to its international atmosphere.
The price point is relatively reasonable for an Amsterdam hotel, offering excellent value for money. Access to the city center from the nearest station is good, so I didn't feel any inconvenience when visiting tourist attractions. While it's not a luxury hotel, it's a very attractive option for travelers who prioritize comfort and convenience while keeping their accommodation costs down. I'd highly recommend it as a casual and convenient base for exploring Amsterdam.
GGuest UserWe spent our winter holiday here and there are plenty of local groceries stores around. The train station is just a breeze walk away so it’s easy to travel around. The Zaanse Schans (windmill attraction), Zaandam (‘Lego’ house) is just few stations away from the hotel. Stay wise it’s comfortable but can get tad abit noisy as the sound insulation between walls are rather weak. All in all we will definitely stay here again!
GGuest UserThere were some inconveniences, like the electricity not working at times and the shower door being incomplete, causing water to spill out. I was told there would be a hairdryer in the room, but there wasn't one. On the positive side, the staff were kind and helpful.
