Hotels near Centre Point Night Bazaar, Chiang Rai

"This is a good-sized hotel in the centre of Chiang Rai, and it seems to be popular with coach tour groups. It’s conveniently located around 10 minutes from the airport (Bolt works well) and just a 2-minute walk from Bus Terminal 1. There’s also a large on-site car park. Check-in staff are friendly and efficient, and there are two separate lift banks serving the guest rooms. There aren’t any notable views, but the rooms themselves are spacious and comfortable. Beds are good, there’s a proper desk, and the usual amenities are provided: fridge, kettle, tea and coffee, two bottles of water, a safe, etc. The bathroom feels slightly cramped as the bath/shower is enclosed behind a solid glass screen, which may not be ideal for guests with limited mobility. The rooms and upper corridors do feel a little dated, but given the location in northern Thailand, this can also be seen as part of the hotel’s Thai charm. The main restaurant is located next to reception and offers a breakfast buffet with a wide variety of options to suit many nationalities. There’s also a bar in the lobby area, with live music in the evenings, and a karaoke club and bar in the basement. At the rear of the hotel there’s a large swimming pool. The downside is that it remains in the shade all day, so the water is quite cold and even the sun loungers don’t get any direct sunshine. One of the hotel’s biggest strengths is its location. Everything in downtown Chiang Rai is easily walkable: the Night Bazaar is just 2 minutes away, along with the Golden Clock Tower, numerous massage shops, beer bars, restaurants, coffee shops, and even a cat café where you can enjoy a coffee while stroking the cats. If you’re feeling particularly hungry, Ribs & Co is well worth a visit. The hotel also makes a great base for exploring northern Thailand — tours like the “7 in one day” trip are easy to arrange. Central Plaza shopping mall is only about 5 minutes away by taxi. Overall, a very convenient and comfortable base for exploring Chiang Rai and the surrounding region. Enjoy 👍🏼"

"The location was perfect, centrally located with lots of food options around the area. Service is nothing short of excellent. Our room was super clean with a view of the street in front of the hotel and a small temple which was beautifully lit in the evening. Some areas of improvement but not necessarily negative: consider widening the partition between the shower and toilet areas as the water does splash quite a bit when you shower, place the bathroom tissue holder a little higher for easier reach, and lastly place a chair in the room with a higher height. The one we got was too low for the desk. Other than those, our stay was perfect."

"The room was good and worth the price. It was clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was delicious. The staff provided good service, and the atmosphere was quiet and not chaotic. I just wish they could do something about the cigarette smell. When I first entered the room, the bathroom had a very strong cigarette smell. Also, with the lobby doors open, the smoke from outside wafted in. If they could fix this, it would be perfect."

"A very romantic hotel. The room was beautifully decorated. Our room, however, had a view of a wall. The toilet wasn't great; it had a semi-transparent glass door, which made for a bit of a lack of privacy. There's a Starbucks in the building. The breakfast items were fresh and delicious. Upon check-out, we received two miniature honey bottles shaped like champagne as a gift. A 7-Eleven is just across the street, and the bus station isn't far from the hotel. On Saturdays, there's a night market nearby, and you can also find good Indian and Italian restaurants close by."

"Like: 1. Very good first impression during check-in – staff are very cheerful, helpful and enthusiastic – a fantastic welcome to my stay! 2. Clean, spacious and most importantly, no insects or foul smell in the room. Good quality mattress, pillows, bed linen and towels - all new and are so comfortable! Housekeeper's response was prompt and everything worked well. 3. Within walking distance to: nearest 7-11 shop (about 7 minutes), Saturday night market (about 10 minutes), Clock tower (about 15 minutes) 4. Spotless and cosy restaurant. Breakfast spread is small but well-prepared with slight variation in the hot dishes daily (kudos to the chef!). Coffee is good! Dislike: 1. Space in toilet is very tight in the superior room – suitable only for someone with small body frame 2. Pool does not seem to be cleaned daily as I saw dirt and dead insects floating in the water for 2 days’ straight (the bright lights around the pool attract a lot of flying insects on certain nights). Pool water is only waist-deep 3. The hotel is situated within an older residential area and the alleys are dead quiet after dark. My room on the 4th floor has views of roof tops of the surrounding nondescript buildings. Rooms on the opposite side probably have better views. 4. TV is not a smart TV. Mainly Thai programmes so nothing to watch if you do not understand Thai"

"We booked a family room with one double bed and one single bed. It was clean, hygienic, and very well soundproofed, ensuring a comfortable sleep. The lobby and facilities are standard 4-star quality, and there's free parking available. The area around the hotel is lively, and it's very close to the Clock Tower. The air conditioning and shower water were excellent. The most commendable aspect was when we left our phone charger behind. We only realized it after returning to Chiang Mai and called the hotel. They had Chinese-speaking staff who helped me confirm the lost item and arranged to mail it to me in Chiang Mai. I'm incredibly grateful for their help. I highly recommend this hotel to my friends from China for two main reasons: the convenient and warm Chinese-speaking service, and the breakfast that perfectly suits a Chinese palate."

"The best asset of this honesty is the staff, who is friendly and helpful. The room is huge and it will be perfect if there's a small fridge in the room. Or have a common fridge on the third floor where the rooms are instead. They also have a spacious common area on the second and fourth floor, which I didn't have the chance to use. Great location to walk within the city."

"Staffs serviced excellently. Location is near by the center of town where can access well known local restaurants day and night, just walking distance. Hotel was renovated, but bed sheets, blankets and curtains and some parts are still small aged. However the price is super worth already."
