GGuest UserThe room was more spacious than I'd imagined, and the view from the window was quite nice, with Jing'an Temple visible in the distance. The walk-through area in the room was just wide enough to open a suitcase, leaving little extra space, but it was perfectly fine for a solo trip. Soundproofing in the room wasn't great; noises from outside the door were quite clear (though this is a common drawback of hostels). This might be an issue for light sleepers. Transportation is incredibly convenient, as it's only about a three-minute walk from the subway station, which really helps save on travel expenses. **Cleanliness:** The shared bathrooms were exceptionally clean; an attendant would clean them immediately after each use, which was very reassuring. **Service:** Upon arrival, a staff member showed me to my room and introduced the facilities. The lobby offered quite a few amenities; I recall there was an ice machine, and I even borrowed an umbrella from the front desk when it rained during my stay. Overall, I was very satisfied and would happily choose to stay here again on my next visit to Shanghai.

MM685706****Staying at the Ritz-Carlton Shanghai Pudong with my family and elderly parents this time truly maximized our 'vacation happiness'! The hotel's location is absolutely stunning. Through the floor-to-ceiling windows, you can admire Lujiazui's dazzling skyline. By day, the Oriental Pearl Tower and the financial district complement each other; by night, leaning against the railing, you can take in the glittering splendor of the Huangpu River. My parents took so many photos of the view, repeatedly saying, 'This view is unforgettable for a lifetime.' The service was incredibly heartwarming and attentive to every detail. From the doorman promptly taking our luggage when we arrived, to the front desk quickly processing our check-in and patiently explaining the facilities, and even room service helping us with our takeout – the entire experience was thoughtful yet unobtrusive, perfectly catering to the needs of a family trip. I especially want to praise the Executive Lounge – the thoughtful provision of five meals a day was ideal for families! The breakfast was the best I've had at any hotel, and the exquisite desserts at afternoon tea, along with the hot dishes and drinks at dinner, made my parents comfortable and saved us the hassle of searching for restaurants everywhere. It was truly excellent value for money. The room amenities also exuded quality. The bedding was so soft that you'd want to fall asleep as soon as you touched it. The double vanity in the bathroom meant my family could get ready without feeling crowded, and the view outside transformed the room into a 'viewing platform.' This staycation was fantastic. Thanks to Lydia for her service and the little gift.

PPandy016I communicated our pick up needs to hotel at regular intervals and keot them updated about our flight. Advised would be arriving a little early due to flight. Was told to call after landing - no answer. Tried messaging on we chat took a while for response. No clear directions. So arrived at exit after clearing customs and collecting bags. Then told to go back upstairs to gate 3 departures. Waited out there for a long time. Over half an hour. Many other hotels collected people with many others coming and going while we waited. One hotel had 3 vehicles with their name on it pick up patrons in the time we were standing there. I can now see why we were the only ones going to Novotel. Clearly the driver did not leave the hotel after long after we advised we had arrived. When he did turn up in a rundown silver van with no name on it. He drove like a mad man and dangerously. He think he was trying to make up for time. He was rather rude when he dropped us off, not a word from him. Check in experience was no better. Two girls on reception were talking **** about us - yes I had my translator on after explaining our check in details to them. Very poor service and actually unprofessional behaviour. Room service had finished so we weren't able to get anything to eat. Did not feel able nor did I want to speak with front desk again to ask for assistance in ordering some food. Only staff that was friendly or even acknowledged us was the lovely cleaning lady on our floor the following morning. Breakfast was okay. Laundry was a mess from another lady who pulled out all her washing dripping wet and made a huge puddle on the floor. If there had been a towel I would have cleaned up her mess! We wish we had gone straight to the hotel we had originally planned to but opted for the Novotel due to close proximity to airport for our late flight back into Shanghai. We would have been better off going straight to the original hotel over an hour away. I believe we still would have arrived earlier. We have stayed at Novotel Auckland Airport in New Zealand a few times and the service is impeccable. Unfortunately Novotel Shanghai Pudong Chuansha is not a good representation of the Novotel brand. Also considering this an airport hotel with many tourists likely utilizing it - very few things have English translation including the vending machine. The hotel building itself is nice and the only positive. Won't be back - step up your game. I usually do rave reviews and very rarely do negative unless warranted.

QQingbaixianshengI chose this guesthouse in Shanghai during the beautiful autumn season, which still had some warmth left in the air. I stayed for three nights, enjoying a luxurious, elegant, cozy, and comfortable travel experience. Although it's an older hotel, the facilities are relatively dated but well-maintained. Inside the room, there's a large thermostatic pool; even with water in it, it provides warmth without feeling stuffy. The hotel's internal infrastructure maintains a grand yet simple, elegant, fresh, and fashionable ambiance. The bedding and toiletries in the guesthouse rooms are also comprehensive. The large soaking tub in the room is one of its highlights. However, on one day during my stay, a staff member cleaning the room drained the water and forgot to refill it. I ran water into the tub for quite a long time, but the water level didn't rise, so I couldn't use it. The next day, I specifically wrote a note requesting immediate housekeeping and refilling of the tub. When I returned from sightseeing, the staff had indeed cleaned the room and refilled the tub. This soaking tub could even be called a small pool; the water is cleaned and disinfected after each guest, and the staff refills it before check-in. I personally enjoy splashing around in private spaces, so whether for a child or an adult, being able to soak and enjoy the fun of swimming in the guest room is truly peaceful, comfortable, and pleasant. The shower and toiletries in the room were also smooth and comfortable to use, and the bedding was soft, comfortable, and skin-friendly. Ordering takeout to the room was also very convenient. I also received complimentary welcome fruit since I booked the hotel in advance. The guesthouse is conveniently located with excellent transportation links. It's only about a seven to eight-minute walk (400-500 meters) from Tilanqiao subway station, and there are many shopping and dining areas nearby. Popular local attractions like Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street, Yu Garden, and The Bund are just a short subway ride away. The guesthouse staff were also warm, friendly, gentle, and attentive in their hospitality and service. Even though I didn't have bulky luggage, the staff asked if I needed help with it. When I checked in, they even offered me tea. I sincerely thank the guesthouse staff for their thoughtful, gentle, and friendly hospitality and service, which made my trip safe, warm, comfortable, pleasant, and happy.

AAnonymous UserThe Grandeur Hotel: An Exceptional Stay, All Thanks to Cindy's Heartfelt Service! We originally booked The Grandeur Hotel for its stunning aesthetics, but we were completely won over by the exceptional service from Cindy at the front desk. She wasn't just doing her job; thoughtfulness was simply ingrained in her nature. Every detail felt like she had anticipated our needs, and from the moment we stepped into the lobby, we were enveloped in such warmth that all our travel fatigue instantly vanished! The moment we reached the front desk, Cindy greeted us with a warm, energetic smile and a gentle yet vibrant voice. ”Hello there! I see you've just arrived with your luggage. Why don't you have a glass of water and relax for a bit? There's no rush for check-in,” she said, handing us two bottles of water – we were absolutely parched! While efficiently processing our check-in, she quietly told me, ”I'll be your personal concierge during your stay. Please add me on WeChat; I'll prepare a 'local's secret guide' just for you!” Within minutes, she sent us transportation routes and opening hours for popular attractions, even highlighting ”the best times to visit to avoid crowds.” She meticulously listed ”local snack stalls frequented by residents, where tourists won't get ripped off” near the attractions, and even added a note: ”That pan-fried bun stall opens at 7 AM; if you go too late, they'll be sold out.” Following her recommendations, we successfully avoided long queues and enjoyed incredibly authentic local snacks – her guide was a hundred times more practical than anything we found online! What touched us most was that when we checked out, Cindy was already on duty again. She very gently asked if we were satisfied with our stay. To be honest, the hotel's ambiance itself was already ”grand and splendid” – crystal chandeliers in the lobby cast a warm glow, the lounge chairs exuded a sense of design, and our room offered stunning night views of the Huangpu River. It was both comfortable and aesthetically pleasing. But what truly made this stay ”exceed our expectations” was Cindy's service. She didn't just mechanically go through the motions of check-in and answering questions; she genuinely paid attention to guests' needs, anticipating and addressing unspoken concerns as thoughtfully as an old friend. If The Grandeur Hotel is a ”visually stunning hidden gem,” then Cindy is the brightest jewel within it. Next time we're in town, we will absolutely choose this hotel again. Not for anything else, but purely for Cindy's heartwarming service – it's reason enough to return! We've already recommended the hotel and Cindy's thoughtful service to all our friends planning to visit this area. Who could resist a front desk agent who delivers service straight from the heart, and a hotel full of pleasant surprises at every turn!

Eeric rozentovOur stay at the hotel was absolutely outstanding a perfect combination of luxury, comfort, and truly personal service. The room was beautifully designed, spacious, and spotless, with every detail thoughtfully prepared to ensure complete comfort. Everything felt intentional from the soft bed and soothing lighting to the fragrance and elegant décor. It’s clear that the hotel takes great pride in creating an atmosphere that feels both premium and warm. The Executive Lounge was a true highlight. Calm, elegant, and filled with high-quality food and drinks throughout the day. Spending our evenings there, overlooking the stunning city skyline with a glass of wine or coffee, was an unforgettable experience. Breakfast was simply exceptional a rich selection of fresh, delicious dishes, beautifully presented and constantly replenished. From made-to-order eggs to fresh pastries, fruits, cheeses, and juices every item was top quality. The staff made sure each morning started in the best way possible. But what truly made our stay special was the human touch. We would like to express our heartfelt appreciation to William and Judy, two incredible team members who went above and beyond for us. William, whom we met every evening, was always professional, kind, and genuinely caring. He made sure everything was perfect for us and always checked that we were comfortable and happy. His positive attitude and attentiveness made every encounter a pleasure. Judy, who greeted us every morning, was equally amazing warm, attentive, and full of energy. She personally ensured we had everything we needed and that our mornings started with a smile. Both William and Judy even shared their personal contact numbers with us, offering help at any time, which is rare and deeply appreciated. It was touching to see how much they cared about our well-being and enjoyment. We always looked forward to seeing Judy in the mornings and William in the evenings they truly made us feel at home. The hotel’s location is perfect central, convenient, and surrounded by the vibrant heart of Shanghai. We will definitely return and recommend Radisson Blu Shanghai New World to anyone looking for a luxurious, comfortable, and genuinely welcoming stay. Special thanks again to William and Judy you made our experience unforgettable.

TTOBACCOVANILLEThis hotel used to be Senz spa hotel, now became Double tree by Hilton. Because I enjoyed the spa and massage facilities last time I stayed I missed the massage used to be offered by this hotel but other than that I liked this hotel a lot. Very clean and slightly high ceiling in the room makes everything very comfortable and relaxing. The breakfast is kind of usual standard for this type of hotel but this hotel is directly connected to an excellent shopping street called Lidoway where I could find a lot of restaurants and bars just outside of the hotel. Highly recommended for those who are looking for relaxing stay close to Hongqiao airport and EXPO area in Qingpu

GGuest User I was referred to stay at the Andaz Hotel by a friend who has lived in Shanghai for a long time. There are two points that are particularly commendable: first, the pool has a female lifeguard who is very responsible and attentive, remaining focused and diligent while on duty. Second, the hotel breakfast is quite generous, and the staff provided thoughtful service. In addition, I would like to share some other feedback. I booked interconnected rooms for four nights, hoping that our family of three would have a comfortable and pleasant stay. The room was very spacious—even beyond expectations with the inclusion of an exercise bike. However, the main bedroom TV consistently failed to connect to iQiyi and Youku, which was very disappointing and the biggest letdown of this experience. On the first night, maintenance staff found that there wasn’t even a set-top box installed, making it impossible to watch the series we were following. Although it was reconnected on the second night, during playback the TV screen would go black every few seconds. This issue persisted throughout the remaining three nights. From the second to the fifth day, another maintenance technician inspected the system. On the third day, he claimed to have spent two hours in my room and found no abnormalities (that day, I left the room for breakfast at 9:15 AM and returned at 10:35 AM, running into him in the elevator). He informed me that the TV network was functioning properly, yet the issue remained—there was sound, but the screen went blank every few seconds. We spent a significant amount of time in the hotel over the past five days due to a family member not feeling well, so we stayed in the room most of the day and only went out in the evening. Therefore, lying in the main bedroom watching anime was supposed to be one of our most enjoyable family moments. This TV issue significantly diminished our overall experience. Even though on the day of checkout, a female staff member politely offered three chocolates to my son, it could not make up for our disappointment and regret. Another major issue was that there were no towels provided in the pool changing room. I had to collect them from the front desk before entering. On one occasion, after showering, my towel fell onto the wet floor, and I had no way to get a clean replacement. Although the room was spacious and the breakfast was excellent, given the room rate of over RMB 4,000 per night, I believe there are better options in Shanghai than the Andaz. For future trips to Shanghai to visit relatives or sightseeing, it is highly unlikely I will choose to stay at this hotel again.
