Pullman Stays in Shanghai

I stayed at the Pullman Jing'an for a business trip, and the experience far exceeded my expectations. The hotel boasts a prime location right in the Jing'an Temple commercial district, with the subway station just steps away. Getting to West Nanjing Road or Hongqiao is very convenient, and there is an abundance of dining options in the surrounding area. The lobby has a modern and grand design, and check-in was very efficient. The room offered an expansive view, and the bedding was exceptionally comfortable—a lifesaver for overcoming jet lag or recovering from intense work. The breakfast spread was extensive, featuring both Western pastries and a live noodle station for fresh Chinese noodles, making it a perfect start to the day. This will definitely be my top choice for my next trip to Shanghai!

Decent stay, but several misses for a 5-star property My stay at the Pullman Shanghai Central was a mixed bag—nice in some areas, but disappointing in others. Check-in: The staff were very friendly and welcoming on our first day. However, I was surprised that they wouldn't let me check in until 3:00 PM. At most other hotels, I'm usually able to get an early check-in (even if I arrive at noon), so this felt a bit rigid for a property of this level. The Room: The room itself was comfortable—the bed was soft and the shower pressure was actually perfect (not too strong, not too weak, just right). Unfortunately, the room smelled strongly of cigarette smoke upon arrival. To their credit, when I called the front desk, they immediately offered to change my room, which was very professional of them. Breakfast: This was the biggest letdown. The breakfast buffet felt more like what you'd expect from a 3-star hotel rather than a 5-star Pullman. The quality and selection just weren't there for me. Overall: It was an okay stay—nothing terrible, but nothing exceptional either. I wouldn't rate it a 10/10, more like a solid 6. Good service from the staff, but the check-in policy, smoke issue, and food really held it back.

My stay at Pullman was absolutely perfect, definitely five stars! The room offered expansive views and stunning scenery; watching the city lights at night created a wonderful ambiance. The room itself was stylish and upscale, clean, comfortable, and fully equipped, making for a fantastic living experience. The hotel breakfast had a rich variety of options and was consistently good, with an elegant and comfortable dining environment that set a great tone for the day. Cookie and Nancy provided warm and thoughtful service throughout my stay, making me feel completely at home. From the environment and facilities to the service, everything was impeccable. This is my top choice for accommodation when visiting Shanghai South Railway Station, highly recommended!

🎉 Due to work, I've been staying at the Pullman Shanghai Qingpu Excellence for several nights recently! Overall, it's been a great experience! The room is spacious, clean, and tidy, and the bathroom even has a large bathtub! The bedding is comfortable, and the room offers a nice view of Qingpu New City. The hotel facilities are quite comprehensive! The breakfast selection is rich 🍰, and it tastes really good too!
