Ramada by Wyndham Stays in Shanghai

I've stayed at Ramada Pudong several times now. The rooms are spacious, quiet, and clean. The gym is well-equipped. The front desk staff are incredibly thoughtful and even sent us breakfast. Housekeeping is also very responsive. This time, I noticed a significant improvement in the internet speed, which I hope continues to get better. My child really likes it, and we'll definitely choose to stay here again when we come to Shanghai.

Ramada really surprised us this time! Upon check-in, Jack and Leo at the front desk upgraded us to a deluxe room. They even thoughtfully found makeup remover wipes for me and gave us flight simulator experience vouchers. The next day, Mr. Jin Junhua, the flight simulator instructor, was incredibly professional, patient, and friendly. A definite thumbs up!

The room was mediocre, with absolutely no soundproofing and a terrible design. The bed on the first floor was a sofa bed, without even a full mattress, and there was a gap in the middle of the bed. The wooden frame and stairs between the first and second floors filled the whole room with a musty wooden smell. The soundproofing was awful; this room was right next to the elevator on the second floor, and you could hear every little sound from the elevator, making it impossible to sleep properly. The most **outrageous** thing was the bathroom design, which was completely transparent with no partitions, facing both beds! What's the point of this for a hotel whose selling point is catching flights from Pudong Airport? Shouldn't you be doing everything to ensure guests get a good rest? Why would you come up with such ridiculous designs like a sofa bed, wooden frame, zero soundproofing, and a transparent bathroom with no partitions? People are here to catch flights, not to **party**. This room type is absolutely not recommended.

10/2025 - I brought my relatives to Ramada Wujiaochang Shanghai for staying here because this hotel has the best price and performance ratio in that area at $78 for a suite, including two buffet breakfast and tax, no tip in China. We enjoy the area for shopping and dining, especially across the hotel, you can find a delicious bowl of vegetable wontons soup at $2.00 (15 RMB) including tax vs. approximately $20 in Los Angeles after Tax + Tip! If you like Chinese medicine for a special area treatment, a 北京同仁堂 is just across the hotel. The hotel has been continuing to renovate guestrooms slowly. Staying at a 9th floor might be your best choice because all guestrooms were remodeled 5 years ago with a Biden Toilet. The subway #10 is just a walking distance from the hotel. If you like to visit the Pudong, you can consider to take a new subway line #18 for just a one-seat ride, but a 20 minutes walk or take a taxi at $2.00 to the subway. 2019 - This is my third time to stay at RAMADA SHANGHAI Wujiaochang. I am glad that the hotel is now going through a remodeling construction phase. The 3rd and 5th floors are at the reconstruction at the moment. The hotel has a all-you-can-eat morning buffet with 30 different items at $7 (50 RMB) per person, which can satisfy most common visitors. A walking distance to the subway line 10 is not far, which usually takes 10 minutes. From the subway station, you can visit a newly opened underground plaza where 13 exits are available.

The rooms are clean and well-equipped. It's a 15-minute drive from the airport and there are many restaurants and convenience stores nearby. Ordering takeout is also very easy. The front desk staff are super friendly. They added us on WeChat and responded immediately to our requests. When the construction next door was disturbing our two children at night, the front desk quickly upgraded us to a family room. There's a small playground on the first floor, which is great for families!

The room and other hardware facilities are good, and the front desk staff is also very enthusiastic and friendly. The deduction this time is for the woman who ordered the noodles for breakfast. Her attitude was disgusting because she was asked to order two more bowls of noodles (because it was useless) She ordered the noodles in advance and immediately showed her face to the guests. She ordered the noodles without saying a word. This is not in line with the Ramada brand. Points must be deducted from her and she is looked down upon.
