Great location within walking distance to the Canton Tower. The area used to be a textiles manufacturing area as well as a small iron foundry. The factories have now been converted into offices, creative spaces and funky studios. there is even a boutique hotel which is great. Only an 8 min walk to Exit A Kecun Metro station.

A craft trip to learn how to make scented candles is full of heartwarming fun. Pour melted wax into a container, add your favorite essential oil, insert cotton thread and wait for it to solidify. You can even add dried flowers for decoration, creating a unique candle. The whole process is immersed in a delicate fragrance. After you've finished, take it home, and when you light it, the whole house will be filled with your favorite scent. Every time you light it, it reminds you of a relaxing afternoon making candles—it's so therapeutic.

As a city park in Guangzhou's old city, Yuexiu Park is truly a delightful place. Not only is it free to enter, but the entire park is nestled against the mountains and beside the water, with dense vegetation providing ample shade from the scorching sun. Walking along the tree-lined paths, a cool breeze blows, keeping you completely cool. Climbing the stone steps to the Five Rams Statue offers a panoramic view of much of old Guangzhou, with rows of arcade rooftops peeking through the lush greenery, their everyday life wafting through the air. At the foot of the mountain, you can enjoy boating on Beixiu Lake, where elderly people sing Cantonese opera along the roadside, and neighborhoods gather under the shade of trees to play chess and drink tea. You don't need to specifically seek out tourist attractions; a casual two-hour stroll is incredibly relaxing, capturing the authentic essence of everyday Guangzhou life.

This place is perfect for a picnic in autumn! The entire lawn is flat and tidy, lined with a row of row of cypress trees whose leaves are fiery red. Just spread out a picnic blanket and you'll have amazing photos with a great atmosphere. It's not too crowded. Find a corner by the water, sit down, enjoy a sandwich in the sun, and watch the wind blow, sending cypress leaves fluttering onto your picnic blanket – no filter needed! After your walk, stroll along the riverside path, the fallen leaves rustling under your feet. Spend a leisurely afternoon here – so much more comfortable than being stuck in a trendy restaurant.

The view from the observation deck is beautiful. But be prepared to wait in line for the elevators for about 30 minutes and then another 40 minutes for the wheel ride. It's worth a look, but we definitely won't go again. If it weren't for the cool evening, we certainly wouldn't have been able to stand the wait in line for the wheel.

We enjoyed the trip. We booked it based on previous reviews: no dinner, second-tier seating, 7:50 PM. They let us in about 10 minutes before departure, but you have to arrive early to complete your ticket at the check-in counter. They seated everyone according to their assigned seat, but that didn't matter since we spent almost the entire trip outside. They gave everyone a bag of cookies, and tea and water were available throughout the flight.

I enjoyed the trip. It's best to choose evening time; it's not too hot and the lights are on. There's water and snacks available. The pier is conveniently located next to the Canton Tower.

Nestled in Guangzhou's old city, the Dafu Ancient Temple offers a tranquil escape from the hustle and bustle of Beijing Road, a haven of serene Zen. The temple, with its striking red walls and yellow tiles in the Lingnan style, is remarkably beautiful. Despite its thriving incense offerings, it remains impeccably clean and tidy. Admission is free, and incense is provided free of charge. Visitors can easily capture stunning photos against the backdrop of the red walls. The temple's collection of artifacts and wood carvings is exquisite, and the Buddha statues within are solemn and dignified. The volunteers and monks are all very kind and welcoming. The only drawback is the large number of visitors during holidays; for a quieter experience, it's best to visit during off-peak hours. Parking in the surrounding commercial area is also inconvenient, so taking the subway is highly recommended.

This ancient temple truly holds surprises! The brackets and eaves are all original, the wooden beams and pillars of the main hall still retain the patina of hundreds of years ago, and although the murals on the walls have faded, the colors still have a vibrant old-world glow. The stone lions at the entrance have been polished to a shine, and the inscriptions on the steles are still clearly legible. The caretaker will proactively tell you the story of the temple's construction. It's not overly commercialized; you can easily spend half a day exploring it. It has much more character than those renovated, fake ancient temples.

Every trip is a fresh encounter with the world. You'll encounter different climates, different accents, and different eating habits; these small differences piece together a completely new experience. After traveling far and wide and seeing far and wide, you realize that your previous worries were nothing more than a speck of dust in the vastness of the universe. Returning home covered in the dust of the journey, you feel refreshed and open-minded, even finding new meaning in everyday scenery.

A very big temple that is worth your visit. It is next to the popular Beijing Road walking street so it is more of a reason to stop over to check it out. The best time is to go in the evening, see it the daylight, have a meal nearby and come back for the night scene. The temple is brightly lit up making the top sight in Guangzhou.

Every trip is a chance to recharge. Leaving familiar surroundings, temporarily setting aside all responsibilities and pressures, you can feel a different wind, see different trees, and taste different flavors. Having seen the vastness of the world, you realize how insignificant your troubles are; accumulated negative emotions dissipate as you walk. Returning with a full heart of joy, your steps become much lighter when you set off again.

Guangzhou Baiyun Mountain Park is beautiful in all seasons, and the morning mist makes it look like a fairyland. Take a stroll along the "Cloud Trail", shaded by green trees and accompanied by the chirping of birds, and climb Mount Davis for a panoramic view of the entire city. There are stele forests and ancient temples scattered among the mountains, where humanity and nature blend together. The cable car slowly ascends, and the forest beneath our feet surges like blue waves. I recommend trying the Shanshui tofu pudding from the small shop on the top of the mountain, which is sweet and refreshing. At dusk, the sunset dyes the sky red, contrasting beautifully with the city lights. The air is fresh and has a high content of negative ions, making it the "green lung" of Guangzhou. A half-day leisurely stroll can wash away the hustle and bustle of the city and refresh your body and mind.

Opposite the famous White Swan Hotel in Guangzhou, the Pearl River is the intersection of three sections of the Pearl River, known as the "White Goose Pool". The wide river surface here is very suitable for watching the sunset. At sunset, the sunset shines on the Pearl River, sparkling and very beautiful. The best places to watch the sunset are in the area of "People's Bridge" and "Chau Tau Tsui Park". Bai Gou Pond is close to Shamian Island. After visiting Shamian Island in the afternoon, you can walk up the People's Bridge in the evening to watch the sunset on Binjiang Road.

The best time to travel to Guangzhou is in spring from April to May, and in late autumn and early winter from October to early December. These seasons have moderate temperatures and low humidity, making them ideal for exploring this outdoor attraction rich in cultural heritage. In spring, Guangzhou is filled with flowers everywhere, adding a brilliant touch to the tourism. Autumn is renowned for its bright sunshine and cool climate, making it an ideal time for cycling and outdoor activities. It is not disturbed by rain, which helps avoid the peak tourist periods of the Canton Fair, the New Year and the National Day Golden Week, as hotel prices are higher and scenic spots are very crowded at those times.
